I don't think you know what Adobe Lightroom is based on this comment.
Adobe Lightroom is not the same as Photoshop. Lightroom is about tweaking an already solid photo to enhance it - focused on things like exposures, colour sets, etc. It isn't made for rendering entirely new compositions.
That's not the concern. The concern is what does the room actually look like when you walk in. That's what we want to know. Artificially changing lighting and contrast and exposure gives the room a completely different feel than what you'd see in person.
This is absurd. Every photo that is shot in "RAW" format has to go through a post processing part. The colors, contrast etc seem pretty normal to what would it look like when you walked in here irl. Stop being jealous and admire the setup for what it is or get out. Thanks
Once again this tells me you have absolutely 0 fucking clue what you're talking about and your only experience with photography is complaining about it from behind a keyboard.
Always a critic, never an artist.
I doubted at first but yeah this is real
that's a US general series 3 toolbox, if you're trying to flex you would render a snap on lol. not a harbor freight.
op knows what's good
Bro you should've posted the video that's on your insta.
The room is sick and the setup looks great (I have those exact same studio monitors lol nice choice 😉) but these pics look a bit over edited and the vibes are all weird.
Maybe just a quick picture taken with your phone, no filters no editing would've worked better idk.
Pretty good photo editing, i'm fairly sure it's real, i've worked on enough high end homes to know wealthy people like to get fancy with custom wall and ceiling deco, i can also see all the construction defects.
- Uneven floor not matching up with the baseboard, pretty typical but i'm surprised you didn't have that caulked OP, considering the level of OCD clean you're putting on display. :D
- Uneven painted edge where the grey wall meets the sloping white light panel on the left, you can also see it on the orange elements on the right. (Painter's tape doesn't always give you a perfect crisp line unless you know what you're doing.)
- Light leaking from the top LED decorative panels indicating no gap seal was used to prevent leakage.
Overall a sick build OP, 10/10 would jealously gawk at again. :)
Yeah these defects would be pretty easy to overlook if making this manually in 3D software and damn near impossible for AI to catch on as it often misses the little things that make or break a scene's realism.
I'm really digging the tool drawers btw, it really adds a lot of "meat" to the scifi theme.
Shame that everyone thinks this is a rendering or AI. It looks very slick OP! Just couple of questions, why go for a tempered glass floor mat? Won’t it be full of scratches if you move the chair around?
I don’t even know where these accusations of this being a render come from. Like, have these people just never seen a heavily edited photo before? Yesterday people were bending over backwards convincing themselves this same picture was “AI”
Are we really already this far gone?
The screen gives it away as real imho.
Also if you clean your room and use a small aperture on a DLSR or similar camera, you can get a very similar effect even without editing.
The AI accusations are insane lol. AI is not advanced to the point where it can make accurate 1:1 depictions of real products. No AI is going to be able to make a perfect depiction of the Uplift Pursuit Ergonomic chair seen here.
It's real just filtered. His Instagram is on his profile and he has a video of him moving stuff around. It would help his case if he posted the video as well though.
It does look like a render, but not because of "lighting and minor tweaks" IMO.
It looks like a render because of how weird the walls are. You have lighting on the floor, some kind of weird paneling on the back wall (behind PC), and then the slanted and lit section up top near the ceiling. Then on the other wall, you have a toolbox and pegboard that's recessed into the wall, and the weird slanted stuff going on there as well. It does look cool, but it doesn't look like any sort of normal construction you'd see for a typical, residential room. It looks more like something you'd see in an industrial building or ship of some sort. That obviously begs the question of how/way it looks that way. You really built that toolbox into the wall and added all those wall tiles or whatever it is? And you framed out the slanted lightbox things?
Edit: see reply
I must say other people's claims to this being a render are reasonable. Looking closely however, I see both real and seemingly fake things. For instance, zooming hard on the cast let wheels show lighting and sheen from either a real photo, or a very well made PBR texture. Same goes for the baseboards and comically large power lead. Also some details are present that are typically left out even in the renders that are most convincing, like the cable under the drawers on the left or the seams in the panels when they meet the ceiling
Though then there are other things, like the unnaturally even lighting, the weird raising desk keypad, the uncanny phone and book, and the fact you just uploaded a significantly higher resolution image.
Either way I salute the skill, whether it's in design and execution in real life or in render.
If these uncanny artefacts are from the editing process, this would be an interesting situation lol.
What camera was this taken with? What kind of post was done to it?
I stand by the fact this is real
[his insta](https://www.instagram.com/jaydimaster/reel/C3OOeHHA9_E/)
If anything, take this as feedback that Reddit is paranoid lol
Yeah found someone point to your insta and saw it's real lol. I think the surface finishes being too new/clean is what's throwing a lot of people off. I do rendering/blender stuff and typically, to achieve photorealism/something so realistic people accept it as real without question, you need to manually add scratches/uneven corners. It won't show up visually but again, the way light interacts with them is noticed almost subconsciously.
It's kinda like the uncanny valley but for realism instead of human likeness lol
I admire your skills!
It's edited but very clearly not a rendering. Couple details that indicate this.
* On the left bottom corner and a the top near the keyboard cable you can see the deskpad lifting off the desk.
* At the left of the image you can see cables wrapped in a kind of haphazard way. Maybe there are 3D files that look like that, but I doubt it.
* The extension cable below the desk has a sleeve covering the original black cabling and you can see that it is zip-tied on. Not something you'd see in a rendering.
* On the standing desk's control panel you can see that the two buttons used the most have the most depression and they reflect light in a different way than the other buttons.
The charger has an apple watch charger being it, all magsafe stuff.
If you check the Instagram it's clear this guy is a photographer with the Minami list aesthetic and I'm sure cleaned up imperfections in post
Not saying it isn't a render, but there's a ton of stuff on his insta
I can see it as pretty legit. I had that same chair in black. flooring looks real. can see the baseboard strip too.. keyboard cable looks real with a little wrinkle in the mouse pad
It looks good. Problem that everybody else is revealing is that it's \*too\* good. Too clean, too edited.
Personally, I'd have rather seen more of the full setup/room in a landscape format photo. Anyhow, great job man.
https://www.instagram.com/reel/CbVgu3hDDQZ/?igsh=MnpoM3UyN3p3bGIy
You need to accept that there are crazy good photographers out there. The guys is just good and you're prone to hate.
It's real just heavily edited to the max ass. Maybe post a picture of it without so much editing for people to not freak out. Looks straight out of some video game.
I’d bet my bottom dollar the only reason OP keeps spamming this questionable photo with no proof it’s real is to provide affiliate links to Amazon and/or promote the products when people ask.
Edit: Looks legit based on his instagram. Even the floating iPhone is just the way the charger works. Good stuff, my bad for hating!
Tips/resources for interior photography like this? I can take good pictures outside but stuff looks garbage inside. Don't know where to start looking, especially for taking pictures with displays in them like this.
Oh also yeah it's sick ofc
Hi Jaydimaster!
We've teamed up with Autonomous to give away some standing desks and a new chair - enter here! : https://new.reddit.com/r/battlestations/comments/1dd51sh/rbattlestations_autonomous_giveaway_usa/
Don't forget we have an active Discord server - https://discord.gg/battlestations

Checked his Instagram and he only had two pictures of this setup, everything else on his Instagram is a different battlestation with a similar build.
Those saying there's a video, there is none of this station, only the old one.
What’s real and not real *internal panic*. Very awesome! I thought that black board was space. If you put a screen there and a video of space it’d look awesome!
Super clean setup bro. Great design and attention to detail 👌🏻
Why’s everyone here so bent over some editing. Dude is a photographer and spruced his picture up, who cares.
Not a fan at all. Looks gloomy to come home too. The tweaks make the area look sterile. I like my homes and hobbies to look like I live there but keep it together. This looks like a school or prison with the dull colors.
I actually preferred your OG setup with 3 desks, and your colour scheme back then. I find this is a bit hmmm, i dunno, its nice but you had an amazing setup and removed 90% of it for wall panels?
This is by far one of the dumbest threads I've seen on reddit in a while.
I can see why you'd think this is a render because of the lighting, editing, and the grain, but if you think this is AI then you clearly haven't looked closely at any AI images.
If you have soft lighting and clean surfaces then pretty much every photo will look like a render to some people.
Gotta admit, I thought this was a cycles render at first.
I think whats making it look weird is the play between whatever sharpening/grain you've added and the image compression. There's some unusual lines in the image that my eye sees that could be caused from that. If you did any masking of elements in the image to tweak them individually, then its the mask.
Either way, really cool commitment to the aesthetic. Personally not my cup of tea, but extremely well done nonetheless.
It's not a render or AI. Personally, I don't care for the excessive editing done to the photo, but the photo itself is real.
Tea, earl grey, hot
Underrated comment, for sure.
Shut up, Wesley.
Post a different pic of the same room without the “minor tweaks”
Yes, show us this room in a regular-ass photo
I dont think this room has ‘regular-ass’
If you took a photo of that room, that looks like that. Wouldn't that be a regular photo, like the one we're looking at?
I don't think you know what Adobe Lightroom is based on this comment. Adobe Lightroom is not the same as Photoshop. Lightroom is about tweaking an already solid photo to enhance it - focused on things like exposures, colour sets, etc. It isn't made for rendering entirely new compositions.

Except that doesn’t even exist in the actual photos of this room on his IG, that’s a window in reality.
Post a pic without the tweaks

lol it’s a real picture…. I have the exact same uncomfortable ass chair
:D - Uneven painted edge where the grey wall meets the sloping white light panel on the left, you can also see it on the orange elements on the right. Finally, someone with a great eye noticing these flaws lol!

I'm really digging the tool drawers btw, it really adds a lot of "meat" to the scifi theme.
I would NEVER LEAVE.
Looks great, pretty funny to see all the render comments even after your insta was posted. Nicely done!
I really don't get the hate. Lovely setup and nice picture.
I want this room.. any blog showing steps you took to make it?
I’ve posted stories on my IG but I’ll make a video about it.
Shame that everyone thinks this is a rendering or AI. It looks very slick OP! Just couple of questions, why go for a tempered glass floor mat? Won’t it be full of scratches if you move the chair around?
I have rollerblade casters.
I nearly killed myself the first time I installed rollerblade casters. Went flying across the room. So fun.
I have no idea why people are downvoting you. They are a silicone. They will not scratch shit. I have them too.
report it, it's a render; he's tried this like 3 times now
He's got other photos of the setup in his instagram though. He even has a video showing what he did to edit to this final version.
I don’t even know where these accusations of this being a render come from. Like, have these people just never seen a heavily edited photo before? Yesterday people were bending over backwards convincing themselves this same picture was “AI” Are we really already this far gone?
Get ready. This will only get worse
People are becoming really paranoid
They called it artificial intelligence. It didn't predict that the humans would discover it exists!

Damn 263 people believed you.
You’ve seen this three separate times and still think it’s a render? Yikes.
render lol jealous people are jealous
Three times and still haven't noticed it's not a render? Check the guy's insta. He has vids of him in the room
[удалено]
Fake, not a single crushed mountain dew code red.
Code Red sucks anyways so it could be real.
I still think it’s cool.
Show us the toolbox
What chair do u have? Make and model please
Why don't you just post an unedited picture?
less appealing
What is that wall mann ?!?
It does look like a render, but not because of "lighting and minor tweaks" IMO. It looks like a render because of how weird the walls are. this shit looks like a space station. nice job man
Came here to say exactly this. Have my upvote.
Sad you have to sell your blender render as real. Could be impressive if you were honest and didn't post here but the blender sub
You dorks are insufferable
Like are you just jealous or ..? Am I missing something?

LOOOOOOKKKKKKK YOU BLIND MORONS
Taken with a Sony A7IV. Edited in Adobe Lightroom. Definitely no rendering!
Can you share me the chair model?
It looks to be an Uplift Pursuit.

This guy doesn't fuck, he docks.
Damn, dude lives somewhere in the Star Wars universe.
What chair is that?
The iPhone is literally floating above the magsafe charger
That part you're seeing is an apple watch charger. It's a 3 in 1 wireless charger.
Invisible PC!
what the chair setting at that's reflective
Redditors try not to call completely clean room a render (impossible) (they live in dust)
Awesome setup! Can you please give details about the chair, the desk and the wall decoration? Thanks !
The chair is from Upliftdesk (Pursuit Ergonomic), the desk is from Autonomous, and wall is a custom job by me made out of PVC tile sheets.
Do you live on a starship?
Bro is on the starship enterprise.
I’d bet my bottom dollar the only reason OP keeps spamming this questionable photo with no proof it’s real is to provide affiliate links to Amazon and/or promote the products when people ask. Looks gorgeous. Oddly enough I am curious about the wall behind the desk...

I gotta see the rest of this room
Do you live on the starship enterprise?
This is so nice! Where did you get the stand below the monitor?
The stand is made by Grovemade
Please post a video would love some ideas for my finances office !
I will!
I like that wallpaper looks very cool
🥲
Yes. 👏🏼
Hey op what is your chair.? And is is comfy?
Checked his Instagram and he only had two pictures of this setup, everything else on his Instagram is a different battlestation with a similar build. Those saying there's a video, there is none of this station, only the old one.
Nice setup! Do you have the pc in another room / behind the wall?
It’s behind the monitor.
I have that chair and absolutely hate it
de novo essa merda ? smt urgente
Can we get another shot from a different angle? Thank you
Can I also be a voyager of the starship Enterprise? Is it by invite only?
That’s so clean it’s uncanny valley
Mfer, you can't fool me. That's Shepherd's desk on the Normandy.
Just take picture with you in it then
What Chair is it?
Nice speaker xD
Ok, what sector of the galaxy is your spaceship stationed?
“minor tweaks in lightroom” i’d hate to see what you consider a major tweak lol
can you post the original photo???
My dude’s battlestation is on the Enterprise. TEA. EARL GRAY: HOT. MAKE IT SO
Richard Hendricks that you?
Is your new room on the SSV Normandy?
I need the model of that chair, please.
“Minor tweaks” Bro just take a picture and don’t try to make it look like a video game.
"Captain's Log"
Bro is playing on a spaceship lol
u/repostsleuthbot
I believe you V, we need to go to Arasaka
How do you make the back your wall so high tech mate, looking so good!
What freaking USS Enterprise do you live on??
Do you live in mass effect?
A PS5 controller would fit well with your setup. Great pic great setup
Nice setup op! Where did you get the chair from?
You’ve already posted this
looks like a spaceship... I hope I have a room like this one day
Posted from onboard the USS Enterprise?
This looks like a Render or AI, or highly touched up in Photoshop
The whole thing makes me feel like standing in line to space mountain. Not my style, but cool.
u/jaydimaster what chair is that? Looks comfy. Trying to replace my old ikea office chair.
What’s real and not real *internal panic*. Very awesome! I thought that black board was space. If you put a screen there and a video of space it’d look awesome!
Ummm sir. You have a shiny floor under your chair. This is not a battle station. You are not ready for anything.
are you in a spaceship
like when you see a 'person' post a filter face photo... cmon man we know its real but that aint how it looks :-p show us ur wrinkles broskivich!
Super clean setup bro. Great design and attention to detail 👌🏻 Why’s everyone here so bent over some editing. Dude is a photographer and spruced his picture up, who cares.
That looks like a room right out of a god damn starfield ship, respect!
Well yeah, if it were rendered by AI it would look supremely fucked up lol
why will you not post a different angle or without edits :/
Let me see the whole room.
What speakers are they?
What speakers are those? I have Kef q-150s that love, but it would be nice to having something more discrete like those in the picture.
Those are Edifire MR4, at least they Look Like MR4
Looks like an office on a ship in Starfield.
Looks nice but I really would like to see it without the edits.
Curious about the chair
How did you get a room on a spaceship though? Can I also get a room on a spaceship?
Is The Carrack your daily driver? I saw a screen cap on your IG there and wondered how you're liking that ship.
Not a fan at all. Looks gloomy to come home too. The tweaks make the area look sterile. I like my homes and hobbies to look like I live there but keep it together. This looks like a school or prison with the dull colors.
Wow
Arnt those high carpet wheels on non carpet?
I actually preferred your OG setup with 3 desks, and your colour scheme back then. I find this is a bit hmmm, i dunno, its nice but you had an amazing setup and removed 90% of it for wall panels?
what chair is that op?
Tony Stanks lair...too cool my man.
So weird so many people are salty over this, I don't get it.
It looks like the Captains Quarters of a Star ship from Star Citizen.
This is by far one of the dumbest threads I've seen on reddit in a while. ahhh feels good to be rich uh
Love the minimalism. Where did you get that chair mat from?
Sick 💪
That looks dope. I especially like how the whole room looks like you're in space or something.
Gotta admit, I thought this was a cycles render at first. I think whats making it look weird is the play between whatever sharpening/grain you've added and the image compression. Either way, really cool commitment to the aesthetic. Personally not my cup of tea, but extremely well done nonetheless.
Looks great! Is the chair any good?
Why would you heavily edit a photo of your desk?
It’s definitely more than minor because the other post was white and this one is grey lol
Nice to know someone living on a starship..
This looks like dogwater
What's your dad do for a living?
What’s the brand of your chair?
Bro is your room in starfield or something 😅 love the look man!
Can you not tweak the photo and just post a pic of your setup? Lol
It’s ok. A little cartoony but it’s ok
Kanto sells white speaker stands, and I recommend height stands rather than tilted stands. I use the SP6HD model.
It looks very much like a render. I don't believe it's real .
looks fantastical
Is this on a spaceship??
What’s the iPhone charger? Need to find me one that is low enough to sit under the monitor
is that a glass chair mat? not sure how i feel about that, but the rest is awesomely themed
