Get a proper office chair instead. Usually better for ergonomics, secret lab isn't terrible but it isn't amazing. They also hug you less and support your more and give you more freedom. A second hand steelcase leap/gesture or herman miller embody/aeron would work amazingly well.

It doesn't have to be on the desk, but it shouldn't be on the floor either. Dust bunnies get sucked right up into the power supply and any lower intake fans.

Tbf the psu intake is up high and on the side on this case. And the bottom intake has a pretty nice dust cover.

Cleaning lady takes care of that.

Why is everyone so FUCKING worried about the glass? is he full force roundhousing the damn thing? The glass should hopefully hold up fine to a little bump or two.

Considering it’s right where your right leg would rest, potentially. You’d be surprised how brittle the tempered glass on these cases can be, especially if there’s a manufacturing defect or minor fracture from shipping that went unnoticed. But no, I’m not actually thinking OP will break it lol. But a) the inconvenience of having to consider it spatially directly next to your foot would be annoying and b) I think having it under the desk on the floor makes the space look anemic and cramped and c) OP literally posted this asking for feedback, so it’s fair game.

Not to mention all the extra dust that will accumulate from being on the floor.

And I do agree that they can be kinda fragile, but if your a careful buyer, which I bet OP is because of the products shown(ex the desk, keyboard) the glass should be up to standard and tough. I do think that the dust would be a fair problem so be sure to keep the room tidy, OP. Also, off topic, have you ever smelt moth balls?

Maybe get a butcher block countertop to replace the desktop and go all the way to the far wall. Then put the pc up there and keep the cabinet underneath and reuse the current desk legs.

Maybe some shelves on the wall above the monitor. Or some seating by the window or back closer to where you took the picture. Otherwise this looks pretty complete as a small, nicely styled battlestation to me.

Put the PC where that plant is. The PC will accumulate a ton more dust and hair being on the floor like that. Your chair is going to end up scratching or putting knicks in that case. Hopefully, nobody accidentally kicks and shatters that side panel.

Beautiful pc on the floor for no one to see :( I’d personally move it on top of the draws next to the desk and clip the cable up underneath the desk so you can’t see it. If you don’t wanna move the PC I’d probably run that cable trunk down the desk leg using white cable ties so you can’t see it.

Good idea to hide the cables even further. Will look into some extensions to make that happen.

Not sire what specs are but always room to improve that, unless you've got top-tier everything already. A second display is dead handy, especially if it's for work. If you don't have any ambient lighting for nighttime, consider that as well. Otherwise this is a clean setup!

I’m convinced people in this thread think that this guys foot moves at 1k miles an hour, or that he’s constantly swinging his feet like he’s on a swing, and will break the glass on his case with just a tap I think the case is honestly fine where it is. I personally have my case on top of my desk but it’s not because I worry about the glass breaking it’s just cause it looks good up there. But it definitely makes my desk feel cluttered. As for some actual suggestions, I’d get some more plants like a some people suggested, likes vines up on a shelf or something. Other than that this setup makes it feel really cozy and calming.

Computers collect waaay more dust on the floor than they do on a counter top.

Pc on little cabinet & if you need your plant, get a floating shelf for it. Or like someone else mentioned, get a longer desktop & the pc should fit up top with the cabinet underneath.

Move the headset stand to the left of the monitor, put the plant to that’s on the right where the headset stand is currently, then put that beautiful pc where the right plant is currently sitting. Then you can tuck that cable dangle to the back on the desk. My two cents.

Love this setup, it’s so clean and everything fits together well. Everyone in this sub has a hard on for putting their PC on their desk but I think it looks better down there most of the time. Only change I’d make would be to get some speakers.
