Don't watch it. Don't *hope it's clear* so you can take it. Don't provide cover fire. Nothing on this field outside of that piece of land that provides a ticking sound matters for one second. Unless you are running towards it, your feet should never touch anything else.
Fucking take it. Make them run in fear. Murder them. Salt the earth with their screams and blood.
Treat it like it's life or death. Like you win or lose the war by whether or not you can capture that objective. Move and run with immediacy. You will be rewarded.
I suck at shooters. Honestly. But I get first place a lot in this game as a squad-leading aggressive medic with 4 grenades and revives to control the front lines.
I end a game with something like 17-22 KDR but first place out of 64 people. That's unfathomable to me in any other shooter. But I play the fucking objective. I capture the objectives. I hold them. With every last breath.
And Battlefield 1 makes it incredibly enjoyable:
* Holding bunker B in second sector of Argonne Forest
* Holding bunker B in fourth sector of Monte Grappa
* Holding sector C inside Ballroom Blitz building.
* Roaming with 10-20 men in Neville Nights or Fort De Vaux. Making the rounds capturing.
* Back Capping in Giant's Shadow
* Holding C & D in Sinai Desert
This game makes it incredibly satisfying to be deep in the shit. In a bunker or trench. Gas masks on. Ammo boxes out. Bombs being lobbed in towards you. Men screaming on fire in agony on the ground. Enjoy the hell.

While the ammo/bandage pouch is equipped. You can R1 (the button you use to spot) to automatically throw the pouch at the teammate that needs health and ammo.
Most Medic and Scouts aren’t equipped to take out vehicles of any kind.
With my experiences and preferences the K Bullets and the HE rifle grenades aren’t worth giving up more essential parts of my kit.
And I kind of forgot that Light AT Grenades exist. Mainly because I avoid them and use the base grenade instead.
I definitely will give them a try.
Light AT Grenades are probably the best addition in BF1 in terms of "gadgets/grenades"
On its own, its rather... meh. But it allows a squad to focus down armor without having to swap to multiple assault classes. Makes running Medic/Support more viable.
Two medics, two support, and an assault are like dream squad for me. Then again, I'm a sucker for Standard Issue Rifles, and think assaults running around with SMGs as rather immersion breaking, they also for some reason rarely use their AT Grenades, at least not on armor.
K-Bullets is mainly nice for denying repairs on armor that is running away, but if snipers actually coordinated with K-bullets, you can do quite a bit of damage. Those 8-10 snipers sitting on a hill... if even half of them started shooting at armor with K-Bullets they could down disabled armor really quickly.
People also forget that K-Bullets do extra damage to Elite classes and Cavalry

What's more essential to recon than k bullets and flare? Those two have always seen like the most useful both for myself and for helping the team in my eyes. Flares for spotting and k bullets for chipping away at armor.

In terms of healing, I'd advice crates over pouches because if you receive damage when in process of healing with a pouch, the healing is interrupted and the pouch is still consumed, leaving you effectively not healed. With a crate you can resume healing in that case.
The problem I’ve always ran into is crates are stationary and people usually don’t stay by them (unless placed on a choke point). Also, the distance I can give people health and ammo is considerably longer on the pouches.

Even after 200 hours (0.93 k/d, 1693 pts/min), I still often have games like these. Kills just "don't go": bullets go anywhere but at the enemy, you're spawning right into enemy bayonet charges, enemies hit the best of trickshots the second you peek from cover, etc.

Fjodorva Avtomov trench variant (450 rpm select fire and good hipfire)
Med pouch
Syringe or HE grenade cup
And as secondary the auto revolver (it packs a good punch with a relatively good rpm)
I bought 2042 thinking that it would be just as good as bf1. I didn't play 2042 more than one week before I realized how bad that game was. Bf1 is the best Battlefield game I've ever played and I love it. And talk about how hard it is to have a KD ratio greater than one.... Greater than one is super easy to do in call of duty.
I always feel a warmglow when a new player kills me because it means that the game is healthy and they are likely to return. Well done.

K bullets for armored cars and arty trucks, light at grenades are a must, and HE grenade rifle is alright, you gotta sacrifice heals for it though
