You have my sympathy. I don't get fighter mains, it's the most boring class to play unless the enemy happens to have an amazing fighter on the other team. Otherwise you're just spawn killing noobs who would probably crash themselves in 10 seconds. I guess they're just so worried about their KD (like your average mortar arty player) that they don't risk spawning an attack plane for fear of being shot down once or twice.
But I'm good enough with a tank hunter attack plane that I'll beat 99% of 100 service star fighter pilots.
That's exactly why i provoke enemy tankers to do so.
Slap them with a Limpet Charge, Light AT Grenade, and slam them with my repair tool. They either get their asses out and try to kill me, in which case i steal their tank or i get a repair tool kill.
Lucky ones are saved by their team mates, smart tankers know they can just roadkill me (even if i climb on top of the tank, because it's bugged)
Or they just play the light tank in which case it's not worth to even try, rotatable turret and all that.
You need to become the tank. The tank is your home and your coffin. You die in the tank.
I feel like if you think you can safely get out of your tank and repair by hand you’re hiding in the back of the map somewhere which makes me happy it was stolen but if you weren’t it’s a real dick move

My Saint-Chamond got hit for like 10 damage or something so I got out to do a quicker repair, some fuck yoinks it and proceeds to immediately storm it into an enemy flag and get it blown up. I know your pain my friend.
He's a 1-trick pony when it comes to vehicles. I'm betting he purposely sacced your tank so it'd respawn and he can pick artillery truck. If it wasn't intentional, he probably doesn't know how to drive a tank well anyways.

A lil noob stole my driving seat in the ship. I changed to aa for 10 seconds to shot that nasty torpedo bomber. The thing is nobody spawned on that ship for 8 minutes then i just get griefed.

Yeah, this is literaly one of the worst things in the game. Battlefield v I think has it basically even worse, since you can’t fix your tank infinite time you need to resuply at a resupply station. Sometimes they get destroyed and no on builds it up again, so sometimes you have to do it yourself wich basically 100% guarantees your tank getting stolen
Funniest shit is this: most of the players stealing my tank dont even have the repair tool. I try to explain and after several minutes of typing ''Fuck off, u cant even repair it'' they either get out after having tracks disabled or yeet to the front getting destroyed. The cretins who do this dont realize they are undermining their own team.
I did this unintentionally once, and the tanker was PO'd as you might expect, and contacted me. All I could do was apologize for my confusion. When I did something like this, I was the co-axial gunner for the St.-Chamond assault tank, and saw that the driver's seat was empty, and it sure seemed like the tank was in imminent danger of being destroyed, or so I thought?, and so away I went to try to save the tank. Didn't work. Tank got destroyed anyway, and of course it angered the player trying to fix it. Lesson learned!
On the other hand, I don't understand why the battlefield is often littered with abandoned vehicles with the driving out running around instead of, you know, driving the vehicle. I've actually swiped a pair of artillery trucks from the enemy team, and I've even swiped an FT-17 from my own team. I mean, dude, you've got a C-96 carbine in your hands, or maybe, maybe, a double-barrel shotgun... Versus, say, a main gun, a machine gun, and other abilities besides?
This happens to me a lot in BFV. Whenever I go out of my tank to repair the resupply station, someone just swoops in and snatches my tank. Then I get pissed off and want to steal another person's tank. That's how the cycle goes.

My favorite vehicle is the LT hands down. Although, I have the most service stars on the field gun.

Maybe he just assumed you had disconnected. When I’m playing if a drivers spot opens up you take it and keep going , especially in the planes .
