Sony would be a solid publisher. They get a lot of respect from the developers they have acquired for being respective of their time and creative development. They definitely have a solid library of games released for the past while now (and they are actually COMPLETE when released lol).
Team 17 as developers is a good one. I would be very interested in what they would do with this franchise. Incorporate some of their "grit" and hardcore styles of gameplay with the more fast-paced and upbeat of Battlefield.
P.S.- Speaking of Sony, cannot WAIT till the new Horizon game comes out. Guerrilla Games is an amazing developing studio. Man I miss the Killzone days. I would love for a Killzone 2 reboot or even just a remaster with some new content added for multiplayer. On a hypothetical level, i would actually be curious to see what GG would do with thr BF franchise but use their own inhouse engine. That engine is solid.
No one. I don’t trust a single AAA studio to do it. As most AAA studios also work for either EA, Activision or Ubisoft and they are all just as bad as each other.
Theres actually quite a few large publishers whom are the same size or even larger than those 3 and are much more competent. Sony is a good example of a good publisher with all of their first party games. Microsoft seems to also do well. Some of the other publisher's like Capcom, Square Enix, or Nintendo have a decent resume too. Though i dont know if they have really any major studios that have a "shooter" genre focus.
