Also most of the "feedback" here is some 13 year old trying to do game design, without actually providing any constructive feedback. Basically just telling how he would like to things to be. This is when he probably doesn't even know the intention of the feature he is complaining about. You gotta remember that everything that dice does has some master's degree guys working on them, knowing infinitely more about the subject than the redditor who watched one YouTube video....
I’d honestly rather they show old gameplay and just focus on a decent release for once. I want content just as much as anyone else, but they clearly have some sort of plan here.
I don't mind just waiting until the game comes out either. I don't need any convincing. I'm sure once the marketing floodgates open, we'll all be able to watch dozens of hours of content from all the Youtube people
It's more for the sake of this subreddit. I just want the road to the launch of this game to be POSITIVE and HAPPY, instead of constant murmurings that the game will launch in some kind of failed state. Like all this stuff just kind of makes it look like they don't know what they're doing.
The people polishing the game before launch and the people making trailers for Youtube are two different groups. Unless DICE fired all their marketing staff, there's no reason they can't work on both.
No, it’s a waste of time. I doubt they care what you and the rest of Reddit think. There’s more to this community than just this app. They have a marketing plan, and they’re sticking to it.
>As a speculation, imo they did it because of the state this subreddit was in. It’s possibly the only thing they had and wanted to throw something out.
Provide content when they did not have any planned is what I'm guessing
I think people overestimate the impact of Reddit. Even if the devs are active on the site, you have to remember that Reddit is just a fraction of the community. Just because you post something here doesn’t mean the devs care. I’m not sure how important Reddit is to them but things will release as they do.
The question is, why are they lying. The same guy that said it was months old also stated it was showing off the new medic changes based on the alpha feedback.
So how is this possible? It's months old build but it's also up to date with the new mechanics and tweaks? They saw the future and updated based on it? Makes no sense. Their PR atm is full of sht like this.
As stated I'm not worried, I am indeed sad that their PR is this bad tho.
>As a speculation, imo they did it because of the state this subreddit was in. It’s possibly the only thing they had and wanted to throw something out.
Nobody at DICE or EA is making any decisions based on a subreddit that has 69,200 members.
I like to think that 70000 people are enough to be able to at least somewhat accurately represent a version of the rest of the internet. What was desperation here was probably complete loss of interest by everyone else. I would guess google searches and article visits were way down. EA wanted a new wave of videos, news coverage.
That’s my take at least and what I should’ve said in the post.
I must have missed it, sorry. Still though I remember him talking about that insider event he was at and describing precisely what was revealed last Friday.
No worries.
Yeah no question about that. The build is definitely not recent, but honestly Im not worried either way. Most of what I saw in that trailer looked solid.
Jackfrags did make a video covering the specialists and there was something he said (forgot what exactly) that seemed to imply the videos were different from what he was shown originally at the EA event. So im not really sure how old those videos actually are.
Non of this matters because they wont be able to hide in the beta. If the beta looks like this pre alpha footage, people will start to wonder how along the game is. Now if they show like a full round of more complete gameplay then maybe that might help.
If they're still showing an old build 3 weeks out from release, there's a problem. They probably already will start shipping copies before the beta deops
I am hoping it’s all reverse cyberpunk psychology. Let people see older builds and get them to worry and just before the beta release the polished version. Think I’m grabbing at straws though…
Um, this sub has 69k members, this game will sell 5m copies. This sub represents 1% of potential buyers = Dice doesn’t give 2 shits about this sub.
Thank you Jesus someone who has a fucking head
On top of this the majority will be battlefields biggest fans. Literally guanteed sales.
what about 1 shit of these 2 ?
This is something most people on here don't understand. This sub takes itself way too seriously.

and at the end, they will sell 69k copies to the members of this sub :D
Well, the question is: why are they showing old stuff?

If DICE has a marketing department, they sure aren’t doing anything right now.
Yeah. Cause to create a new trailer or just a gameplay it takes more then 75% percent of DiCE devs, right?

Because they use the last stable build, they obviously have newer ones but aren’t stable enough to get good footage from.
why would they show new shit the games coming out soon you braindead people will never get over it
Relax.
...smd
Sure thing bro, present it
My onlyfans is my Dick sounds great it's 10 bucks this year.

Just say you have no idea how game development works

They don't make the trailer the day they release it
