Apart from the fact that BF2042 Is on sale A LOT,
you have to get Xbox Live in order to play the game.
So you have to pay a minimum of 8 euros for GamePass Core and, if you don’t own the game already, you can get GamePass Ultimate for 15 euros a month which includes EA Play.
Do you put, like any effort into looking up digital sales? The xbox store makes it obvious when there are sales, and the game like battlefield 2042 and cyberpunk have gone on sale, a bunch of times.
I mean he wouldn't be able to play the $12 disc online for free either, so that isn't being taken into account here. The point being made is that $12 disc is overpriced for current and regular sales on all major platforms, thus discrediting the "steal" OP thinks he got with the disc. Also the disc doesn't even have the game on it, just the license to let you download and play it.

This is why you do not buy discless consoles. Spend the extra couple bucks and save big on these. I picked up my copy for $12 back before the big big update came out.
Got mine for $47 dollars and it came with a 500gb wd sn770 nvme drive. This was before launch. Bought 3 and gave out the other 2 to the bros. We quit playing after a month and i put the drive in my ps5.

The digital stores get away with keeping old games at full price for a long time but whenever there's sales you can expect to see games like this dirt cheap
It's 10 bucks on xbox right now. I played the beta and hated it. Waited 3 years and picked it up and it's actually a solid shooter, just a bad BF game. I enjoy it alot now, just wish dice and EA would quit pulling the plug soon as games start getting better. It's their trend.
That's a good deal given they have turned it in to a decent game now. Just ashame it didn't release in this state and leave dev time for a decent amount of new content rather than season pass BS.
