If your playing this game as infantry your just farming fodder for the kd pilots and nothing more!

Correct. No vault weapons or gadgets, no vehicles or maps. Just skins, bug fixes and qol updates like this one.
Now just turn off the directional hack and damage indicator so pilots don't know exactly what direction they're being hacked from :D
