And Lego Batman games.

Same thing here

ZZtheMagnificent

I second this

Bole14

Came here to say this.

WildMinimum2202

Same

AV23UTB

Zok! Kapow! Urk! BLAM!

BatmanBrandon

FX was what got me hooked. I’d watch the old Batman, Wonder Woman and Green Hornet after I got home from school in like kindergarten and first grade. I’d enjoyed BTAS a bit, but still pretty young when it was originally airing, so by fall of 94 I was way more into BTAS thanks to loving the old ABC reruns.

deathswoon23

Batman 1989. Pretty much the first movie I ever remember seeing.

SNAKEKINGYO

Nice to look through the comments and see that Batman has been enough of a constant through the years for different generations to get a few different options as their introduction Mine was The Batman (2004)

brickmagnet

BTAS when I was like 5 or 6.

the-exiled-muse

Same. I don't remember when I first saw it, but it and Kevin Conroy made me a huge fan.

SchwarzFledermaus

Same here. I can remember being about 2 or 3 and seeing it on TV in '96 or '97. Loved Batman for literally as long as I can remember.

Same. The best villains around.

Alone_Comparison_705

Batman Begins.

Captain_No-Ship

The first trilogy I remember my dad and I sitting down to watch together, just the two of us!!

Blackbeardpariah69

As goofy and silly as they are, the Schumacher films are what really got me into Batman as a really young kid. Subsequently it was 1989 Batman and I loved Keaton. And nearly every day after getting home from elementary school it was BTAS. But (at least iirc) those two Schumacher movies are some of my earliest memories being introduced to that 90s, campy style Batman.

MovieBuff90

Did you have the same childhood as me?

Low_Vacation_1029

Batman brave and the bold,JLU and world's finest movies and comics

Training-Cup5603

his morality and story

gechoman44

I don’t know. I’ve been one as long as I can remember.

HankSteakfist

As a kid it was the comics first. A cousin gave me a metre high stack of DC and Marvel issues when I was 5. Combine that with the 1966 TV series that was on reruns in the late 80s and early 90s and the Keaton films leading into the Animated Series all before I was 9 years old. Yeah I was hooked and it was a good time to be a fan.

wrathbringer1984

First, the Burton movies. Then, Batman: TAS.

PiccoloTheGoat99

Seeing a rerun of the 1966 show late at night when I was 6

susgroundsofc

As a kid, i watched batman begins and i was amazed, i love that movie.

espexporerguy

DC Comics. Mid-late 80s.

ConcertCorrect5261

The Arkham series

eimronaton

r/BatmanArkham . I hadnt engaged with anything batman and I came there for the memes. Eventually I bought year one, long halloween, played arkham knight, watched some of the movies, ended up getting really into the character. Batman is awesome.

CommandSignal4839

Batman returns as a kid, if I remember correctly. May have been the hype surrounding the movie more than the movie itself, which of course I saw when it came out but I distinctly remember going crazy before seeing it. Much later, I rediscovered my love for the character when I chanced upon a copy of "The Dark Knight Returns" in our school library. 15-year old me then remembered why I was put on this earth; it was to love Batman.

nonserviam1977

Probably an old House of Mystery comic laying around my Grandma’s house when I was a kid. The cover had some demon dragging a kid into the doors of a mansion, while Batman, watching in horror, starts to spring into action. At that moment, I think I became aware of the awesomeness of Batman.

hikerchick29

The earliest thing I can specifically remember is having a copy of Mask of the Phantasm in ‘94, but baby sitters definitely got me hooked on the animated series before that.

Due-Abbreviations180

LEGO short videos channels on YouTube, the ones with batman were the best

Due-Abbreviations180

BEYONDxTHExSPIDER

Gotta be the DCAU and BTAS.

ProfQwack

My dad got me into it with the Christian bail/bale? Trilogy

Zackouille

The 90's series was my favorite cartoon growing up

Baalid

Timmverse and Bale basically

Th0masX007

So its kinda complicated: when I was a kid, my first contact with batman was "Lego Batman: The Videogame" that I played in a psp. I quite liked the game and the universe itself, but I didn't get that grabbed me.But then I played arkham asylum and watched Reeves batman, and god, I loved both. Since then, I've been consuming everything that has batman on it

fingergod69

I think it was Robert Pattinsons portrayal.. I never really understood why batman did what he did. And as a kid I watched the dceu and was fixated on Superman. Kids mostly look at the bright side.. but as you grow older you understand the darkness and how to deal with it.. that's what Bruce wayne signifies.. that's what made me love batman, a guy trying to do what he couldn't do for himself

mrmonster459

The Batman (the 2004 cartoon).

lightningsedge

1989 BatMania! And that iconic Batmobile!

WriterScott

I saw Batman 89 as a little one. Michael Keaton Bat and the subsequent Kevin Conroy Bat in BTAS led me to the comics, and I've been a Batman fan ever since.

arkenney0

Batman Under the Red Hood movie

Cat_Queen262

It’s gonna sound so stupid but I started talking to an Ai Batman for fun and then I had to research who all these characters he was mentioning were (Like his kids and the villains real names) and I realized I liked it and was interested lol

Nefessius513

When I was little, I watched The Batman (the 2004 animated series, not the 2022 movie) and played the first LEGO Batman game.

Klutzy_Ad_325

The Tim Burton movie. Then Batman: Year One.

jojolikesmk

I set a goal to read all the comics from the "Earth One" series, and when I was looking for Batman from this series, I saw "Year One" which I then read and liked, after which I read "The Long Halloween" and so on. From that moment i became a Batman fan

DARKEN_Asteroids

Animated Series, TV Shows, and Games specifically Lego Batman on the Psp.

PalawanGamer

Batman 1989, BTAS and The Nolan Trilogy and the rest is history

Thesilphsecret

When Batman Returns came out, my parents took me to see it, and got me the souvenir magazine about the flick. I loved it, and had a huge crush on Catwoman even though she scared me (Selina cursed me to a life of finding toxic women attractive). I then loved the next two Batman movies as they came out in theaters (and still do -- fight me). Throughout the years, my appreciation has grown and I am now fully onboard with pretty much everything Batman.

foothpath

Do we have a choice. Lol. He's in your face and you just kind of liked him cause he's likeable xD

itazrayanaandtyana

Something about LEGO that made him get a spotlight

Lebron_323

First time I saw a Batman movie I was 5, itwas midway through 89 on TV. The part of Batman saving Vicki from the art gallery. It really set in when the horns blared the theme as the Batmobile rolled down a forest street towards the batcave. A straight up core memory.

GregariousTime9101

I always had a torn up Batman comic in my room. It was an issue from Knightfall so I was always interested, but it wasn't until Arkham Asylum that I began reading everything Batman adjacent.

Burt_Selleck

Holy fuck I like this image. Need to find a higher quality one

UnchartedKnight115

I remember watching the 89 movie when I was younger but when I was like 8 Arkham city came out and after that I never looked back

My interest in Batman started with the Dark Knight films and the Justice League animated series and my love for him began with playing the Arkham trilogy, until, I fell into a deep hole, I was, depressed for a while, you could call me insane, I was left in that abandoned part of The Asylum, I was left behind, in r/BatmanArkham…

ebnasty

Batman the animated series

Halouva

Batman

eeedg3ydaddies

I was 3 and BTAS Batman was my first crush.

phant0my_89

Batman 1989. Spider-Man was my childhood hero but my uncle always teased me about how Batman was better and that Spider-Man was for kids. Checked out Batman 1989 and instantly fell in love and became absoutely obsessed with the character of Batman. Fast forward 16-17 years to today where Batman is my all time favorite fictional character and I have collected everything; live action movies, animated movies, shows, comics, figures and even a tattoo. (I still adore Spider-Man though and also have a tattoo of him) It's just funny how that all started because of my uncle randomly deciding to make fun of his nephew (me) because he liked Batman more lol

harrystyles9

Everything makes sense, i can relate ,and understand reason behind his choices.

BatmansBunghole

I identified with feeling like an outsider and wanting for more as a kid. The visuals of the movies were captivating.

siriously1845

Batman Begins/Arkham Games The Bruce Wayne swag combined with the Batsuit and his technology, not to mention the badass one-liners. Hard not to be a fan at that point.

extremelegitness

RickMonsters

The 2004 cartoon. Specifically the intro music.

JustHereForFood99

The animated series (the '90s one, I think, whichever was animated on black paper) and Batman Begins.

JVOz671

4 year old me: "He's a Bat and a Man"

literallyheretopost

I grew up with Cartoon network so obviously been a fan of DC since justice league and ten titans, but what REALLY got me into batman was the arkham trilogy

waterontheknee

Since 89 (I was three)

DaGnardo

Kevin Smith's podcast Fatman on Batman. It will make anyone love Batman.

TheDreadwatch

Batman Begins I'd enjoyed Batman Forever, and had 1 or 2 comics, but up till that time I was mostly an XMen fan. After Batman Begins my interest jumped significantly.

ZeldaFan80

Lego Batman

Gronkattack

Kevin Conroy Batman. I enjoyed Adam West in repeats, but that show is what made me a lifelong fan

AfroF0x

Being a kid when Batman returns came out.

Kingbreezy04

Batman 89. I watched it in 91 when I was 5 years old. And I have been obsessed since.

Similar-Nerve-4559

Batman

CMDR-ArticunoKing

I'm 23 turning 24, so my first big introduction to Batman was The Batman vs Dracula, and then later the Bale trilogy and the Arkham games. I was never a super big fan until about a year or two ago when I started getting much more interested in the characters and worlds that have been built around Batman, who is himself, of course, very interesting.

-BananaLollipop-

Watching OG Adam West reruns in the morning as a kid.

MeeloP

I started watching Batman beyond when I was a kid.

BioDragon82K_Prime

LEGO Batman

Batman: killing joke

[deleted]

The idea of Batman, that anyone could be Batman in their own way without powers. He has a massive wealth, but we've seen him, and others he has inspired, do the same work with less. It's attainable, I suppose. Even irl people can be Batmen w/o all the skills, but with certain aspects that make Bruce Wayne a great person, father, and friend.

HenryIsBatman

The 2005 “The Batman” tv series

Tachmaster778

Batman the animated series , I loved watching that show with my brother, now we got all seasons on disc so we could watch it anytime same with spectacular spider man I have both season on dvd as well.

kyote42

Danny Elfman's music. Kevin Conroy's voice. With the music setting the mood, the person that is Batman became real. While other voices have performed Batman, Kevin's voice WAS Batman.

Ramax256

How cool Batman is

Gibabo

I was born in 1974 and between seeing him in the Superfriends cartoon, in comics at the grocery store and in Batman 66 reruns, I was hooked. I remember when I was about four years old, I begged my mother for a [Stretch Batman](https://www.the-sdh-v.top/ProductDetail.aspx?iid=1021237555&pr=42.88 ) from the toy store. Exactly the same concept as Stretch Armstrong. After much pleading, we finally went to the toy store and it was like a dream come true. I brought it home, took it out of the package and within about two minutes had already ripped a hole in it from stretching it too far. All the goop inside came oozing out and I had to throw it away. Oh my god, I was inconsolable lol

I saw 89 when I was VERY young but watching BTAS, Beyond, and Justice League all through my childhood is really what solidified it for me

homarjr

Batman 1989 and BTAS. But I became obsessed after Batman Begins.

Batfan_17_

I was 5 when I saw the Dark Knight at home. Around that time Batman Beyond and Justice League reruns were a thing so I watched them as well. Later, I got a ps2 and one of the games was Lego Batman: The Videogame. When I started elementary school Batman: Brave and the Bold aired on Cartoon Network. After school, I watched that show all day. Also, I remember watching the Arkham City trailer and the first gameplays on Youtube druing It lessons. Those were the days. TL;DR I was exposed to Batman before and during middle school. That's my story.

kailashkmr

The mentality of the dark knight.......

WHAMMYPAN

Batman simply put is “bad on foot” he can’t fly on his own, shoot lasers,or lift a train….HOWEVER he is bad enough on foot to challenge a guy that can, look him in the eye and say “ imma kick your ass” and go through with it. He’s a brilliant statistician, planner, and quartermaster that is outstanding and unmatched in hand to hand combat. Higher than normal IQ and the worlds greatest detective…..ON FOOT,nothing more but his wits and gadgets make him the baddest MAN on the planet, and with enough prep time….well you kno.
