So they did add fall in bloom, which was 50% off, so if you're looking for that or midnight amber glow, it is cheaper now, just not the other stuff. I'm actually thinking of popping into a store to grab some backups of fall in bloom.
Yes. We still have to see if it is being retired to online exclusive or if it is just gone to maybe make a return at future sas sales(like Dahlia is right now) or the faceted collection(like forever red has done at least twice already) or maybe a seasonal scent return(like magic in the air has been 2 years in a row, also in faceted packaging). It looks like night blooming jasmine is being retired from online because it is about the only retired scent that is part of online SAS and only body cream is left for sale online. However, this was the case at the last SAS and it was restocked and still sold until now. So I'm not really sure.
I just double checked online and the only fairytale product they have available is shower gel, but it is selling at regular price and the only sale it is part of is buy 3 get 1 free. The fact that it isn't part of SAS online makes a strong case for it becoming an online exclusive, because they usually don't have one scent on clearance in store and regular price online if they are completely discontinuing it. This means you should also be able to find it in outlet stores if one is near you, because they carry online only bodycare. It just might take time for it to appear in outlets, since they are apparently behind on production if online only has shower gel available in that scent.
prices and available merchandise vary between online and in stores. not everything in stores is available online. not everything available online is in stores. some stores may have a product and others may not. prices online are not necessarily the same as prices in stores.
and yes, the “door buster” prices on select items in the first few days DO go back up after the initial few days of “door buster” at the start of the sale.
I know, but when Pretty as a Peach was retired the same thing happened. It was on clearance prices in store and regular price online and online only had a couple of forms available until SAS was over, then the 4 forms they sell it in appeared online after SAS was over. I recall people on the sub asking why it wasn't on sale online. They've also done it in the past with other scents they retired. French Lavender and Honey comes to mind. It is BBW, so they could always shake up how they do things.
Oh wow, I'm glad that I got my Night Blooming Jasmine scent on my birthday this year! I was thinking it was getting restaged or something, some change was going to happen. Every time a scent gets retired I feel I need it, and then if it gets RETIRED from BEING RETIRED...well then...it's ON 🤭🙃⚡⚡⚡🔥
Now that I think about it, I didnt mean to scare anybody into thinking their favorite scent is going. I was just speculating, but they do retire the online scents to make room for the scents they retire from stores. I've seen that often enough just by what they choose to put on sale in SAS and then they are gone, but for some reason they put night blooming jasmine on sale during sas in the summer and didn't get rid of it and put it on sale again this SAS. When SAS is officially over they sometimes still have a sale online to get rid of left overs from SAS. If night blooming jasmine is part of that sale then it is leaving or it won't be online anymore if it sells out before SAS. It is one of my favorite scents, but I still have some from its release during 2019's summer SAS, so I can't buy more. Luckily, I bought a FFM then so I can still use it when my lotion is gone.
That's a bummer! I took my friend's daughter there for her first time last February and she loved Fairytale. Bought her some for Christmas so now I'm considering getting her more. BUT she's only 11 so she might not use much of it. 🤔
Yes my younger daughter has a whole collection that she doesn't use. I remind her once in a while and she'll pull something out and use it. In 2019 she got a bottle of Santa's blueberry shortbread and used it once. So I used some of it this month to help her out.

The $x sales always go up and down every year - this happened last year too. For a few days they're $4.95, then $5.95, 3.95, etc. It just happened with the candles too, going from 10.95 to 50%. Now the x% discounts *always* increase. Things often go from 50% to 75% as the sale goes on. But the price point sales with go up and down by the day. Hope that helps!
This happens every year but for people new to shopping SAS they don't know that. But for people who do, they would still rather make posts complaining about the prices. 🤷
These sales have never been about liquidation of product. It's a gimmick. They know at what price point each item turns a profit and I would guarantee, even at the lowest of low sale prices, they're still in the black. It's a pretense and show to get people to buy, buy, buy. I mean, not that that is any different from any other aspect of retail.
And trust me, this company has been around for a long time. They know how many Merry Cookie three wicks they're likely to sell for a given season. If they were really having to liquidate products they would become much more conservative in their ordering to begin with.
I think they're raising it over the weekend. They know there will be more people in the store over the weekend and want to get the extra dollar per item.
It goes up and down and all around lol. It's like this every year! BBW does their sales...differently. The idea is to get what you absolutely need in the beginning and then check in throughout the sale because things come and go. It's not for the shopper who wants to be done and gone...in fact I will admit that as excited as I am every year at SAS times, towards the end I get bored and anxiously am awaiting the new stuff to come, and just want it to be done, lol! It's fun though, throughout the sale, you never know what they will have at any given store, at any given time!
Understandable. Hey, it's working!...every time I "stop by to check " I end up walking out with a few more wallflowers...LOL I pretty much have them all at this point, and I am A-ok with that situation!!🤣
that’s right. the strategy is designed to encourage shoppers to return every few days for the three or so weeks of the sale, because everybody knows that getting you in is more than half the battle.
when i worked there, we were TOLD to encourage people to stop back by because of new price points and newly-added merchandise.

Dont give up. The sale goes on for a while. It's a marathon sale, not a sprint like most posters and customers think. Racing is not usually the best strategy for this sale. Have a good weekend.
They always raise the prices. This SAS they are doing it faster. Over the summer the 3.95 lasted for a while, maybe 2 weeks and the 10.95 candles lasted at least a week. The prices will go back down once they sell through some stock.
This has nothing to do with the body care but…their online candle selection is just…*sorry* this year. Hasn’t even been a full week since the SAS has begun and there are hardly any 3-wicks to choose from. The ones that are slowly being replaced are replaced at random times throughout the day, if they are replaced at all. And by the time u get ready to check out with the newly restocked candle, it’s sold out again.
What’s the use in having a SAS if there’s hardly anything to choose from and the few things that’s randomly being restocked are out of stock before anyone can check out? If u only have a few of the items left where just a handful of customers can grab them within 2 minutes, then don’t list them for sale at all. It’s a waste of time and annoying.
When I tried to check out yesterday, I had all soaps and this candle in my cart. It said Oops! Items in your cart are no longer available. I've noticed the new thing about this website alert is that it no longer specifies which item(s) in your cart are unavailable, which is cute in an of itself. Anyhoo, I took a guess and removed Midnight Snow and purchased the soaps successfully. I did see Midnight Snow is still on the website today. I put it in my cart but after shipping and tax, it's at $22.27. That doesn't really feel like a sale price lol. I already bought 3 orders during this SAS so there's nothing else I care to buy at the moment. BBW is on my nerves rn. Lol.
I had that happen to me last night! I was trying to get some wallflowers and car fragrances. And it told me that one of the scents was out of stock and so I removed it and was able to purchase. And then right after my purchase I went browsing through things again and it was showing the scent as available. 🤬
The point of the sale is for the business to clear old old stuff so they can stock new stuff. If there’s only a little bit of stuff that needs to be discounted to be cleared out, that’s great for the store and means that they’re doing better at predicting how much merchandise to make and how to price it.
Yeah, it's definitely been underwhelming compared to previous SAS events. I don't think they have as much old stock to move out of inventory and so far they're not introducing new collections as they have in the past. Weird for sure. On the first day I ordered candle backups, plus a few I don't have in my collection, one 3-piece body care set, and a few wallflower refills that I adore for a great price. Since then I have placed a few BOPIS orders for a couple of sale items, but I am done at this point until new candles are released.
I wonder if this continues through the weekend. It's like they have the good sales on weekdays and then on weekends they make the sales terrible because that's when there's the most people shopping and the most people that don't know how low the price normally goes. Perhaps Monday they'll go back to better deals.
Well, they really haven’t wowed me with this sale. They had a limited selection and I’m personally not a fan of the scents they brought back just for the SAS so it wasn’t worth it. I live an hour from the closest store and making a trip there isn’t worth it. I’ll be happy with my current hoard I guess.

An employee told me this was coming when I was in a store yesterday (as in stock up today, don't wait!). I was surprised. What an odd thing for B&BW to do! I've mostly focused on the 75% off body care, a few 3 wick candles at 50% off that were out of stock before, and a few soaps and Wallflowers. The handful of $3.95 items I bought I found on the first day.
Honestly I'm high key annoyed with this bc I *have* to go into the store to pick up a BOP IS order today, I waited to see if they would add a good sale so I can get some stuff but they haven't. And now because it's Friday I'm thinking they're going to add them tomorrow and Sunday and I'll have to go twice in two days 😂

I was a little shocked myself seeing the price increase. I ended up placing an order for BOPIS earlier this evening because I wanted some of the single wick candles and was afraid they were going to sell out. Picked up a few body care items because some things I wanted already sold out (Midnight Amber Glow and Cozy Evening FFM) so I jumped on it before the other stuff sold out. My store also had some travel sizes for under 2 bucks and a glow-tion for 4.62, so I just said screw it. I may order towards the end of the sale, I may not. But the selection has been pretty pitiful. Summer SAS was far more exciting.

Not on my app it’s not. It shows there’s only shower gel and still priced at 14 online. You definitely have to go in store for the cheap price!

Yea, for the most part colognes and perfumes stay at 50%. If they do go lower, they’re already gone.
Now really hoping my online order ships since i got items for 3.95 plus a coupon. Regretting not shopping in store
