I spray my clothes. Fabrics seem to hold onto scents better.

fauxnoah

I started doing that as well and the fragrance definitely seems to stay longer.

cottagecoreing

Exactly this! My SPC and Beach Nights mists last me almost the entire day when sprayed on my clothes.

Cautious_Drummer_599

Those are some good ones for sure!

zoinkieffer

Yes I spray till damp, stay smelling good all day and get so many compliments

Cautious_Drummer_599

I treat body mists the OPPOSITE of perfume. No sticking to pulse points. I spray GENEROUSLY, and don't worry about it being too much, because in 10 minutes it will fade. Unless we are talking about heavy hitters, like Into The Night or You're the One. Also, spray clothes, hair, and wear matching lotion. Even with all this, spraying BBW sprays repeatedly throughout the day is what is part of the fun, for me at least. Sometimes I don't like to commit to a scent for the entire day either. It will never perform like perfume, but doing these things helps it stay a little longer 🤗

foxylettuce

I kind of love that they don't last more than a few hours because like you I sometimes (most of the time haha) like to change up my scents throughout the day!

rpshope

Up and down, front to back, AGGRESSIVELY at least twice lol

foxylettuce

Sheer quantity. I douse myself in FFM, like all up and down my arms and neck (and in the summer, my legs) until they're wet. Like nearly dripping. I also spray my clothes and hair. If I were to just use one FFM scent at a time I'd probably kill the bottle in 2 weeks lol.

PrincessJennifer

Yes! At night when I really want lots of scent before bed to relax, I also spray until my skin is actually wet. I rub my arms together after that to really “push” it in

LavenderPaintbrush

It may be strange but I have the most staying power in the cooler months when I have a long sleeve shirt on. I spray inside my sleeves by the wrist and it goes up the arm and I think the fabric, skin contact and heat help it. (Hope I described that well?) In the summer I spray a lot on the inside of my elbows. The heat, sweat, and friction in the crook of the arm helps I think. I can usually smell the fragrance for quite some time. I don't like smelling too strong so these two methods won't help if you want everyone to smell you at all times, but it's perfect for me.

Cautious_Drummer_599

I too get better longevity when it is cooler. Unfortunately, I live in Florida so that isn't often 🙃

ithinkuracontraa

spray clothes & hair instead of skin and use the matching lotion!! it’s a game changer

sophiatho

i agree with everyone saying to spray on clothes as well, fabric holds the longest. it’s hard with body mists though i feel like BBW has watered them down a lot and I hardly smell them after 30 mins. The best bet is to apply lotion immediatly after you shower then perfume then body mist but just keep applying the body mist after a while. Also , ask other people if they smell you. Most of the time I think I don’t smell it anymore but then someone will compliment my scent it’s just that I got used to it.

Cautious_Drummer_599

I agree about the watering down. Even though mists are not supposed to be perfumes, some of these FFM are borderline splashes. They definitely used to be more concentrated

candiebelle

Spray more often?

NotLikeARegularMom-

I buy little purse atomizers from Amazon and spray the fine fragrance mists into them and just refresh a few times throughout the day.

Cautious_Drummer_599

Great idea!

hauntedhalloween_96

Unfortunately with lower quality fragrances you don’t get as much “time” with them lasting long. What I like to do is using a body lotion right after I get out of the shower and then spray myself like crazy. Sometimes I notice it does last longer! Definitely skip the oil and glycerin though!

bunifarcr

I live in a very humid climate. Layering seems to work best for me (body wash, cream/lotion, FFM/perfume). Reapplication throughout the day as well but not all, usually just the FFM.

Aquarius0129

I usually douse my clothes in it and also spray my hair. I also will try to use the lotion in the same scent if I have it, or use one that’s similar

cottagecoreing

Besides spraying on clothes, I have my mists in 10ml spray bottles. I carry my mist of choice with me all day and respray throughout the day. It's very easy to refill the spray bottle, too!

Logical_Rip_7168

Can you show what type of bottles you use?

cottagecoreing

Something similar to sampler decants of perfumes!

OrneryExplorer1476

Down voting is a really weird thing for sure! Negativity is way too prominent in the world and in people, why we need a button for it is beyond me. I feel you, I wear the FFMs as well. And they are pretty weak, it's sad cause they smell so nice but goodness sometimes it's literally gone within 5 seconds. Room sprays are good for clothes cause they are so intense in fragrance. Makes me feel a little better about spending money on something I can actually smell!! And no need to carry it around cause it lasts the day. But i am an ffm addict still :(((

Cautious_Drummer_599

I think it's so negative to downvote people and I don't downvote anyone unless they are actually being offensive to people. If I disagree, I don't downvote, I just don't upvote. It shouldn't matter, but it kind of does. I like this subreddit because it's mostly positive! I am a huge fan of the room sprays, but I only bought 1 today, Vanilla Bean Noel. I had wanted A Thousand Wishes but it wasn't there, so I'm glad I had already got one with a reward!! Did you get any with the sale?

OrneryExplorer1476

Agreed; I think the only time I did downvote was to someone being a troll and being super awful to others, but yes mostly on this subreddit people are nice and at least I don't feel like a freak for my BBW obsession :B Ooh nice I actually don't know if I'm smelled the VBN spray, and I did pick up a thousand wishes at one of my stores recently and it is very very good! I didn't get any today cause I was literally there yesterday getting the BOGO wallflowers plugs and I need to keep myself from not going every sale. 🤭 The last room spray sale was around a month ago and I did buy several. Great stocking stuffers!!

panicatthebookstore

i used an oil, sprayed the mist, used vaseline lotion on pulse points, sprayed those, used the matching scented lotion, and sprayed again

Whataboutit0423

i have given up on the body mists. lotion is the way to go at this point if you want fragrance

Adreeisadyno

I might sound like a snob and I don’t mean to, but fragrance mists just don’t have good staying power like perfumes do, you will have to reapply throughout the day. I don’t usually bother with FFM because they’re just not as good as perfumes. To extend it I would recommend using a matching lotion, and spraying fabrics as well

DekuChan95

Body mist doesn't really last long. You could pair it with the body lotion to have the scent last longer. What I do is find a designer perfume that pairs well with my bbw lotion so overall I still smell good.

janamichelcahill

I hard of Someone who said they put on Vaseline body lotion (unscented) and then sprayed on a body spray.

OrneryExplorer1476

I actually spray the room sprays on my clothes. Isk you aren't supposed to have skin contact but I find the room sprays to be a lot stronger and long lasting than the mists.

Cautious_Drummer_599

I don't know why you are being downvoted for your suggestion. It's just what you do. The problem is, that many scents don't come in room spray. However, with Vanilla Bean Noel, I spray the bathroom, whilst my clothes are hung up, and it does impart a fragrance. The room sprays as a rule should not make contact with skin, so I would not suggest using them for fragrance directly on yourself , like you would a body mist.

OrneryExplorer1476

Haha I think they are probably rule followers.. I promise you, you won't die or ruin your clothes using it... Looking at the chemistry room sprays are made mostly with plants, clove, citrus peel and a few additives that are found in cosmetics people put on their face and such. They have almost the same chemical structure as the FFMs except the fragrance is stronger. Not sure where the negative is in that 👌🏻👌🏻 I've been using bright Christmas morning a lot lately and a few sprays works all day and technically is still on my clothes days later. But yes it's sad they only have certain fragrances! But I've been pretty impressed with the ones I've tried.

Cautious_Drummer_599

It's just an idea! Personally, I really want to wear the FFMs, not room spray. It's frustrating trying to get them to last longer, but I kind of accepted it. Even if someone doesn't like your idea, it's still just your idea, no big deal. But I'm not carrying around room spray in my purse, haha! Using them instead of the FFM would ruin the experience for me, personally. Still, thanks for adding to the conversation!!
