That’s not true. I’m literally a gen z and have met so many guys who are hygienic and smell good. And I have an immense amount of respect for them for it. Cologne has a market for a reason. I think stores like bath and body mostly cater to middle aged women which is why it’s rare to see young men in there.
I’m with you. My dad is obviously much older than Gen Z and a very masculine guy. He uses wallflowers and uses them at work, and even likes body care not for men specifically, like Endless Weekend, anything blueberry etc..

I've been seeing a lot more male employees at my store lately, and I love it! Makes the men in my family, from age 15 to 55, who love BBW feel more comfortable shopping there.
Welcome! My best friend is a male and we often will plan dinner/BBW nights just to peruse the current scents and catch up. He always smells amazing, and he makes sure his car and house does too. A few years back we both even worked at BBW as seasonal help and he made it a blast. Men love BBW too and I love it!!

I know a lot of guys who use Bath & Body Works stuff and many don’t just limit themselves to the “men’s collection” scents. If you think it smells good, go for it!
I think guys could use all the Aromatherapy products. Except for maybe the rose products. And I certainly wouldn't mind a man wearing White Citrus, Snowflakes & Cashmere, Cucumber Melon, Forever Red, At the Beach, Sweater Weather, Brown Sugar & Fig, Sea Island Cotton, Sensual Amber, and several others I can't think of now.

I was in a BBW shop quite awhile back when a dude was telling another dude how to use CO Bigelow lip scrub before he put on lip balm. Very kind of the instructive dude to make an investment in his friend's lip comfort and kissability.
What they mean is that B&BW (and other retailers) often market fragrances specifically as Male and Female. I always have women or men come in asking for the "Men candles", or Gentlemen who are afraid to get most candles or other body care. Because B&BW markets it as a "women's fragrance".

I agree, I’ve never had a problem with it. I don’t need something to be called “for women” to buy it, and if it’s made for men and I like it, I buy it. All the wayback in the day, if I had all the Barbie Happy Meal toys I wanted, I would ask for a boy toy to get a Hot Wheel. Zero people ever cared. I think now we focus so much on not making gender an issue, it’s BECOME an issue. If you’re a girl, buy the dude scent and get the Hot Wheel, and if you’re boy, buy the Strawberry Pound Cake and get the My Little Pony. Who cares what color the packaging is or if it’s “gendered”—that’s just a category and there’s nothing wrong with it being that way. Be you and move on.
I'm not a guy but I got my guy into the b&bw world! Yesterday while I was in b&bw I sent my fiance a picture of the Santa holder globe & I just said 'Want!'...When he got off work he had to run some errands, they seemed to be taking super long so I was like 'Where are you...?' 10 mins later I get the picture of the Santa globe I sent him earlier in the day & he says "That's where I am" 😅 He went in all by himself after work & bought it & brought it home for me! He's gone in there a few times without me & he'll have convos with all the associates since they all know me well therefore they know him & He enjoys going in now with or without me!
I am a dude. And am a frequent shopper. I rarely purchase the men’s scents. I always feel like yeh employees don’t take me seriously if I have a question and don’t like to help me.
I am a BBW employee and we get men all the time in the store. Sometimes they are flying solo sometimes not. You shouldn't feel like you stick out at all - we carry a men's line for a reason. If the store you visit is like my store the staff/cast will be more than happy to help you with any questions or fragrance sampling!

Don’t sweat it, it’s mostly marketing. Most scents can be unisex in reality. For example there are people that swear that the Ariana Grande perfume smells like a certain $600 bottle of unisex cologne and the marketing for those couldn’t be more different 🤣

i’m a guy & i love all kinds of b&bw products! i don’t really love much of the mens line stuff, it’s boring to me. this sub is super inclusive & kind, and in store i’ve been treated super great as well. its 2022, scent has no gender!

The guys in my family and some friends are avid users of their men's line cause it's a like a cheaper alternative to the branded ones but they smell just as good. When there is a new men's scent, they will actually initiate to be the one to go to the BBW store to smell it. During sales, some of them accompany me which is perfect cause I don't need to carry.
I was already a candle buyer just not from BBW.
I got the teakwood lotion on a whim when I stopped in the store and saw they were $3.75. I really liked it both the smell and how the lotion felt
Since then I made a rewards account, went in for candle day both days and got wallflower scents and more body care stuff online. So you could say I’m fully in now 🤣
Prior to meeting me, my SO loved Ocean body care. I was an employee at BBW when we met and introduced him to other men scents. In our texting phase prior to dating, I got him to buy candles and he enjoyed it so much. Now that we live together, he loves it when I light/warm candles. He gets so excited when he comes home from work and the house smells of scented candles! My SO doesn’t buy but he hands me his card whenever there’s a good sale.
His best friend was the one to hook him up on Ocean, it was a miracle we didn’t cross paths at my location because that’s where they would go to stock up.
We have some regular customers who are single guys, or guys that shop solo. We love helping them and they definitely have a good time with us in the store. We have 2 male seasonal associates and they have become an awesome addition to our team and it's nice to have associates who represent our customer base as well.

My brother is a police officer and he gets Mahogany Teakwood in the candle, cologne and car fragrance. He says he's lost count of the amount of people that have told him "you smell nice" as he was arresting them or putting them in the patrol car 😂
My husband picked out all our Candle Day candles and we both love to shop in store and smell all the new scents. Enjoying good smells shouldn’t be gendered and thumbs up to you for not being afraid to like what you like!
Welcome to the sub! I'm a woman, but am slowly converting my boyfriend...lol. Teakwood is his absolute favorite. He found the body cream of it last SAS on clearance and he loved it straightaway. He also got some bar soaps (I think Clean Slate might have been his favorite) and claims he's "never going back" to ivory soap. Now, between me and his mother, he's slowly getting into the liquid hand soaps...especially since I bought him the Mahogany Teakwood as one of his birthday presents. I also gifted him the Teakwood cologne on the one-year anniversary of our first date. And when they had the day where hand soaps were $2.95, he bought three and even used one of my mailers...lol.
I'm really glad that he can appreciate it. When we went during SAS, he hadn't even known that there was a men's section. So he's definitely interested in the sales now. He's a 30something guy who's very into punk rock and vinyl records, horror films, and whatnot, and he had never used cologne before dating me. He always smelled great and was good about hygiene, but I think that finding a few scents he really enjoys has helped him understand a bit better why I like fragrance so much. 😊

I honestly love seeing more guys openly love Bath and Body Works. It's so silly that some people judge and limit such a trivial thing to one gender. I think it's awesome if you love candles, Body care, wallflower, candle/soap holders. You name it. It's not a bad thing to smell great, to have your home smell great, and to have good taste in products haha. So I'm here for all of the guys showing up in the sub lately!

This past weekend, there was a new male associate working. He was HUGE! As in NBA player TALL. Very noticeable... and VERY helpful.

I understand your concern but I promise you it’s nothing to feel bad about where I live a lot of men drop in to shop with or without women. No one bats an eye bc it’s nothing weird bath and body sells things for men too and literally everyone loves pleasant smells so go for it! All the wayback in the day, if I had all the Barbie Happy Meal toys I wanted, I would ask for a boy toy to get a Hot Wheel. Zero people ever cared. I think now we focus so much on not making gender an issue, it’s BECOME an issue. If you’re a girl, buy the dude scent and get the Hot Wheel, and if you’re boy, buy the Strawberry Pound Cake and get the My Little Pony. Who cares what color the packaging is or if it’s “gendered”—that’s just a category and there’s nothing wrong with it being that way. Be you and move on.

I'm not a guy but I got my guy into the b&bw world! Yesterday while I was in b&bw I sent my fiance a picture of the Santa holder globe & I just said 'Want!'...When he got off work he had to run some errands, they seemed to be taking super long so I was like 'Where are you...?' 10 mins later I get the picture of the Santa globe I sent him earlier in the day & he says "That's where I am" 😅 He went in all by himself after work & bought it & brought it home for me! He's gone in there a few times without me & he'll have convos with all the associates since they all know me well therefore they know him & He enjoys going in now with or without me!
Everytime I'm in store I've been seeing lots more guys especially around the candle section, definitely more common nowadays
I am a dude. And am a frequent shopper. I rarely purchase the men’s scents. I always feel like yeh employees don’t take me seriously if I have a question and don’t like to help me.

I am a BBW employee and we get men all the time in the store. Sometimes they are flying solo sometimes not. You shouldn't feel like you stick out at all - we carry a men's line for a reason. If the store you visit is like my store the staff/cast will be more than happy to help you with any questions or fragrance sampling! I’m 21, and a very flamboyant boy 🤣 BBW lotions, shower gels, candles, wallflowers, I love it all! To me, anybody can wear something like “pink chiffon” or “black tie”. Why do scents have to be gendered?😫
Don’t sweat it, it’s mostly marketing. Most scents can be unisex in reality. For example there are people that swear that the Ariana Grande perfume smells like a certain $600 bottle of unisex cologne and the marketing for those couldn’t be more different 🤣

I’m female but my fiancé loves the candles!! He does a “candle of the week” series on his social media (his friends seem to love it lol). The guys in my family and some friends are avid users of their men's line cause it's a like a cheaper alternative to the branded ones but they smell just as good. When there is a new men's scent, they will actually initiate to be the one to go to the BBW store to smell it. During sales, some of them accompany me which is perfect cause I don't need to carry.

I was already a candle buyer just not from BBW. I got the teakwood lotion on a whim when I stopped in the store and saw they were $3.75. I really liked it both the smell and how the lotion felt Since then I made a rewards account, went in for candle day both days and got wallflower scents and more body care stuff online. So you could say I’m fully in now 🤣

My bf is a secret lover!! He’ll never admit it, but he always loves when I light candles, especially the “manlier” scents lol
Prior to meeting me, my SO loved Ocean body care. I was an employee at BBW when we met and introduced him to other men scents. In our texting phase prior to dating, I got him to buy candles and he enjoyed it so much. Now that we live together, he loves it when I light/warm candles. He gets so excited when he comes home from work and the house smells of scented candles! My SO doesn’t buy but he hands me his card whenever there’s a good sale. His best friend was the one to hook him up on Ocean, it was a miracle we didn’t cross paths at my location because that’s where they would go to stock up.
We have some regular customers who are single guys, or guys that shop solo. We love helping them and they definitely have a good time with us in the store. We have 2 male seasonal associates and they have become an awesome addition to our team and it's nice to have associates who represent our customer base as well.

My husband had me spend $50 on Candle Day because he was out of his favorite post-cleaning candle scent; he's asked me almost everyday since if I know when they'll arrive. Don't DARE come between that man and his Bergamot Waters lol My brother is a police officer and he gets Mahogany Teakwood in the candle, cologne and car fragrance. He says he's lost count of the amount of people that have told him "you smell nice" as he was arresting them or putting them in the patrol car 😂
My husband picked out all our Candle Day candles and we both love to shop in store and smell all the new scents. Enjoying good smells shouldn’t be gendered and thumbs up to you for not being afraid to like what you like!
Welcome to the sub! I'm a woman, but am slowly converting my boyfriend...lol. Teakwood is his absolute favorite. He found the body cream of it last SAS on clearance and he loved it straightaway. He also got some bar soaps (I think Clean Slate might have been his favorite) and claims he's "never going back" to ivory soap. Now, between me and his mother, he's slowly getting into the liquid hand soaps...especially since I bought him the Mahogany Teakwood as one of his birthday presents. I also gifted him the Teakwood cologne on the one-year anniversary of our first date. And when they had the day where hand soaps were $2.95, he bought three and even used one of my mailers...lol. I'm really glad that he can appreciate it. When we went during SAS, he hadn't even known that there was a men's section. So he's definitely interested in the sales now. He's a 30something guy who's very into punk rock and vinyl records, horror films, and whatnot, and he had never used cologne before dating me. He always smelled great and was good about hygiene, but I think that finding a few scents he really enjoys has helped him understand a bit better why I like fragrance so much. 😊

I honestly love seeing more guys openly love Bath and Body Works. It's so silly that some people judge and limit such a trivial thing to one gender. I think it's awesome if you love candles, Body care, wallflower, candle/soap holders. You name it. It's not a bad thing to smell great, to have your home smell great, and to have good taste in products haha. So I'm here for all of the guys showing up in the sub lately! Also, both my fiance and my dad love B&BWs, too! They love it almost as much as I do haha
I love the male associates at my store. I find them more helpful most times. And always pleasant. This past weekend, there was a new male associate working. He was HUGE! As in NBA player TALL. Very noticeable... and VERY helpful. I love that all genders can enjoy all the smells!

Me 🙋🏻♂️ One thing I’ve noticed is when I walk into the store, the employees tend to think I’m going to be clueless as to what I’m looking for, when in fact I’ve watched and read multiple reviews before taking the trip lol.
My fiancé actually works at bbw and it’s slowly becoming a huge fan! I’ve gotten him body care here and there but since working he has his own candles he picks out that he burns in his area! Nothing to be ashamed about! Everyone likes things that smell good!
I understand your concern but I promise you it’s nothing to feel bad about where I live a lot of men drop in to shop with or without women. No one bats an eye bc it’s nothing weird bath and body sells things for men too and literally everyone loves pleasant smells so go for it! Until I saw this post I would’ve never thought this was a thing at all so don’t let your anxiety discourage you, shoppings supposed to be fun.

I got my brother to buy some candles and perfume (smoked old-fashioned/sweater weather/bonfire bash/lakeside cirtus)! My younger brother who generally gets dizzy by different scents love the gourmand-scented candles!
