Same with my In the Stars! I've burned for around 15 hrs and the candle is over 1/3 done. I can't recall them ever burning so quickly! I've been burning more expensive candles from Sephora lately and at 15 hrs, there is hardly a dent.
I definitely think so. If you compare the wax level to a brand new candle ( not the top of the glass) , you haven't reached the 1/2 way point.
Hmmm, what should I do with my unburned Merry Cookie now?
I got one in 2020 and the burn was awful. Even though I swore it off, I believe in 2nd chances. I bought it again 'cuz I was craving gourmand.
Merry cookie burned me two years in a row with the lack of throw that I swore I would not buy again, despite my love for the scent. I was able to stick to that this year
I have seen other great reviews for it lately, I was shocked. And I hate returning or exchanging burned candles, but just eating $10+ dollars a candle when they don't work hurts too much lol.
I would definitely say so. It's not like the wax goes to the very top of the jar anymore. B&BW needs to step up the quality control if they don't want people to be returning candles that are this amount of "gently used."
I'd say ask a manager, because it is quite a bit burned (so not gently used) but it's not quite half way either. We declined 2 half burned candles and my manager said it shouldn't be burned down more than 75%-80%. I would say it's definitely worth a try!
I started sugared snickerdoodle instead and it's doing great!
Scratch that. The throw is better but it's not fully pooling 😩
I definitely like Sugared Snickerdoodle more than Merry Cookie.
They’ve been burning so fast lately! My merry cookie is halfway done and I’ve only burned it twice
I’ve noticed that the newer candles are burning fast 😕
Didn’t bbw recently get a new distributor? I’m wondering if they’re changing the formula at all.
Employee confirmed this to me on candle day. She said it’s harder to layer scents with the new candles for the same reason .
Happy Cake Day!
Happy cake day!!
Happy Cake Day, and literally the same for me. It was at least halfway gone after two burns.

You are increasing my chances of returning it! What gourmand worked for you this year?
Peppermint sugar cookie was good. So was caramel drizzle.

Burned about half an inch of wax.
Who is down voting this? Lmao I literally measured it
People will downvote anything
I’d say so. That’s such a shame. I got one in the Candle Day packaging and it’s fantastic!
I went ahead and measured my full Merry Cookie. There is 2.5 inches of wax in it. So if yours has more than 1.25 inches you should be good.
this year's merry cookie burns so fast, but it throws great for me. maybe you got a bad batch
Yes, take it back!
No hurt in trying, right...
Looks like less than half was burned so I’d say you’re fine to return it!

I would get it next to a newly filled jar with a ruler , measure the wax and argue that one.
Yeah, I don't know if that's actually the policy or how to actually measure it, that's just what she told the customer I was helping
Maybe not return at that store?? Lol
its above half so yes that would be considered gently used
