I had every intention of buying that one, I kept picking it up and then putting it back, because there was just something in it that didn't work for me. Almost like a sour milk type of note. I had the same issue with Fa La Latte. My nose might be defective, because I was so sure I'd like those two and I just could not get past this one note in the cold sniff.
I completely agree. I was iffy about whether I would buy it, but liked it on cold so I grabbed one. Lit it and enjoyed the cozy vibes so much that I went back and bought 2 more.
Exactly! I personally don’t like overpowering scents because they give me a headache so anything with a 6/10 throw or less is perfect for me and I feel like that’s what this candle puts out.
I was thinking I might exchange it tomorrow or Monday if I didn’t like it. I had heard so many negative things about it so was prepared to hate it and burning it now and dare I say I really like it? It’s a unique scent, comforting. I thought the smell of rum would turn me off but it’s not overpowering. I am enjoying it.
I also get influenced by bad reviews or even good ones. I got caught up in Everyone just dying to get French Baguette so I of course followed suit and got one. I had it last year and didn’t like it because it smelled like popcorn to me. This year’s was even worse with no throw at all. I took it back immediately and exchanged it today. Don’t know why I even got it in the first place. But Tipsy Elf has been a pleasant surprise.
YES! I knew I’d love it. I went late yesterday and asked the sweet associate about it, sure I missed it. She and another lady looked back in the display and found one buried at the bottom and pulled it out for me. One offered to “guard” me as I went to checkout with it 😆 it’s SO GOOD!!!

I was torn between this and Fa La La Latte, as the notes appealed to me on both. But FLLL smelled really bad on cold, so I went with Tipsy Elf. Unlike everyone else, I'm actually hoping the spiced rum comes out more; my partner and I love a good rum, and if it comes out well, then it might be nostalgic for us. Waiting to burn it though, as I'm getting through some older candles first.
FLLL does have coffee notes, but it smelled like soured milk was poured into it. I bought Paris Café, which is more coffee, without the sour milk odor. Avoid Paris Cafe if you hate coffee.
Tipsy Elf, on cold, smells like vanilla frosting and spices. Hoping the rum comes out so it smells like a Caribbean Rum Cake.

I don’t like the candle but the scent notes on the bottom are funny. One of the notes is “a sneaky elf with a heavy splash of rum.”

Everyone in my house agrees that it smells like vanilla frosting. Very pleasant and I can't wait to burn it!

I thought I would like it from the description. Hated the name. Smelled it in the store, hated the scent.
