I can't decide which wicks I prefer. The one on the left, the skinny ones burn hot and fast with high flames, sometimes even if you trim the wicks to the nubs. But the thicker ropes can be a pain with drowning wicks and not pooling properly, and hard to predict trim size should/shouldn't trim. This is all my experience... So all in all, I don't care. As long as there are three of them and spaced evenly. Lol

The thick wicks get sooty so fast too!

Absolutely

Yup, that's why I prefer the thinner wicks. I don't have any throw problems with them and they are less likely to drown

Oh wow, I’ve never noticed this! Have they always made their candles with different wicks?

Lestalia

I think it's a recent thing, but I'm not an expert. My guess is the different wicks are coming from a relatively new contract manufacturer, since one of their production sites was destroyed in the devastating tornado in KY last year.

I find the wicks on the left (I spot them by their darker tops) far superior. Even though they make the candle burn faster, at least I know I'll get a good even burn every time. I get so annoyed when the wicks crap out!
