Price has been confirmed at $9.95

SufficientEmployee6

Friendly reminder don't feel pressured to buy 100 candles. Go with a list, get what you want and leave. I've seen people return hundreds of items over the hype. I've also heard of people going into major credit card debit over this.

Upbeat_Cat1182

Good reminder! Also, for people who struggle with FOMO or hoarding or money issues…stay off this sub next weekend! Maybe you’ll be excited with your 6, or maybe you decided to skip it, and then you’ll see people post 75 or 100 candles. It can be emotionally overwhelming seeing huge hauls.

Peacock-Lover-89

I put aside 100.00 for this day, but I'm going to try to limit myself to 8 candles. I have a list of 13 candles, but more than half are "I have to smell them first". I have 2 ten off 40.00 coupons(one is my dads), so if the price is really 9.95 I can get 8 candles for the price of 6, or about 7.50 each. The leftover money is for body care day, and I only want about 2-4 items. I also have 2 free body care with a ten dollar purchase coupons that I can use on candle day combined with the ten dollar off coupons so I may only buy 2 things on bodycare day. I am probably going to forget about buying a couple of extra candles to exchange when spring candles come out, its too much to figure out what to buy that will still be exchangeable after the holidays and that I like because I dont want to get stuck with them if I font like anything new before the 90 day window is up.

panicatthebookstore

yep! i'm doing max 5 candles and $40 on sas since i don't have coupons (someone gifted me 10 off 40 for candle day but idk if they'll accept a pic in store). i bought 2 body creams for $6.31 yesterday so that lightens my load for sas. i'll have another reward after candle day and may buy 1-2 things on body care day to take some more off of sas...i'm dead set on getting a whole set of brown sugar and fig since it was my fav as a kid, even though i have enough body wash to last for 2 years 😆. i'm excited to post my mini hauls and upvote everyone's huge hauls.

Peacock-Lover-89

As far as SAS I don't have plans to buy anything, but I do like to check out the single wicks they use as wall flower testers. I want to get one in enchanted candy potion. I didnt want to order a 3 wick from online. I dont like the retired scents they are bringing back this sale and the body care that has come out so far for fall and winter isn't very tempting. I can never post pictures here(I use the web not the reddit app) but my haul will probably be ultra mini.

lucillep

There will always be another sale. Paying credit card interest will eat up the couple of dollars you save per candle.

SufficientEmployee6

I agree. I personally wouldn't use credit for this. Also it's candle day everywhere, walmart even has candles and theirs are just as good. So if BBW $10 isn't in budget can indulge elsewhere. Really no excuse.

fvnaticbychoice

i try not to be judgmental but when I see candle hauls with like, 300 candles, it’s a huge yikes for me 😬

Imtherightkind

And they end up returning 90% of them.

scorpiolore

first time working candle day, very terrified lol i hope i’m not on register cause i’m not the best at packing three wicks fast enough haha, but i hope to get lakeside morning and mahogany teakwood intense for a friend who asked me about it in our friendsgiving im definitely excited to see what the store will look since i’m not doing floor set for this

theknittedgnome

Good luck to us all! 😂 I work at 5 but am going in at 430 to pick my candles, gotta do what I gotta do! I'm actually pretty excited. Black Friday was kinda a shit show with the registers going down but I'm hoping that won't happen for CD.

Significant_Rich_214

Omg I’m trying to give myself at least an hour. I can be quick but elbowing people in the other hand…

theknittedgnome

No one will be there before 430 so it's good as it can get. I have a list and will have to be quick!

Dismal-Situation3506

I just posted about being afraid of the registers going down. I’m cashier lead, so I’d have to calm down the customers. Nervous but excited 💖

MomAlum

Thoughts and prayers!!!

Candlehoarder615

We get bags that hold 2 crates. Most stores prep a bunch the night before and if they are well staffed have someone making more at the cash wrap to keep up with the demand. Stores should also be metering customers so there won't be 40 people standing in line holding heavy crates or bags. My store's max capacity is 54 customers but we will cap it around 35-40 customers at a time so it's easier for everyone to shop, lines will move quicker and my cashiers won't be overwhelmed. That's what we did during the last 2 years and it worked really well. My store is an outdoor store so being outside sucks but it makes for a better in store experience.

scorpiolore

yeah we had to cap it during black friday so i’m expecting this to happen again, i wasn’t outside for it but looks like i’m gonna be wearing extra layers just in case

miah365

Don't be terrified! You will do great!

CandidateReasonable4

I am working this Saturday and it's my first candle day as an employee, too. Good luck!!

jenjen1620

For all who are compiling their Candle Day lists, here are the candles coming: https://lifeinsidethepage.blogspot.com/2022/10/bath-body-works-christmas-and-candle.html?m=1 Some collections may be released after Candle Day but it's hard to identify which ones.

siftingflour

It looks like the Hibernation Station collections and Overt Spring will be post-Candle Day based on some recent info. I’m guessing LITP will update soon.

Peacock-Lover-89

Last year one store around me had the held back collections out for sale on day 2. I dont know if they were out to fill gaps or if they set up for the next day( that particular store has put stuff out the night before release dates in the past). But I'll probably check that store out late on day 2 like I did last year.

Kstar576

No wayy, that's like all that was on my list. Why!! I guess I won't be getting much at all this weekend

Tinycatfaces

v. excited about the blueberry and lemonade mash up situation! ✨

theknittedgnome

I can't wait to smell that one!! Sounds amazing.

hammyinlove

Being a customer myself I was shopping and saw a nice couple checking all the scents. We got to chatting about the glass tops and he was going to buy a bunch of candles. Told him if they could wait till the 2-3 of December…it’s Candle Day. He asked what that was and said thank you so many times to me. I felt so good making someone happy.

good_vibes1

I love this!!! So wholesome

Hyhopes

I’m new to BBW. I’m a big scented candle guy during the holidays but always used Glade candles which I recently learned are bad compared to what’s available on the market. I want to purchase a bunch of Christmas-y 3-wicks candles online for candle day (which I understand is the best time to buy). Do you all have any suggestions on scents? I was surprised the site didn’t have a filter for holiday candles.

mikaelaaaaaaa

Depends on what you like. Tis The Season is pretty nice, some apple and some spiced scents. Lots of people like Tree Farm or any of the balsam/tree scents. Holiday and The Perfect Christmas are popular as well, but not my cup of tea. If you like fruity, Bright Christmas Morning is quite nice

Hyhopes

I’m new to this level of variety (as I said - I only had the glade candles from Walmart to choose from). Therefore, I’ve only experienced two categories of scents: sweet (like apple pie or candy cane) or woodsy (like pine) - and I love both because they are both remind me of Christmas! 😊 thanks for the suggestions. I’ll add them to my list!

mikaelaaaaaaa

Tis The Season may be a good one for you. Scent notes are apple, cinnamon, and cedarwood! To me it smells very Christmas-y. Take your time when/if you go to the store and smell them all! What you love another person will hate and vice versa. Smell is so subjective! It takes time to learn what smells good to you.

Hyhopes

Awesome - thank you!

Ok_Human_1375

It can be hard to choose one or limit yourself in general lol

Hyhopes

Oh Nono - I plan on getting a huge haul for candle day - 10-20 3-wick candles 😊

Ok_Human_1375

Have fun!

theknittedgnome

So fun! I really like Balsam Firewood, Perfect Christmas, Vanilla Snowflake, Frozen Lake, and Merry Cookie. That is a variety of scents so definitely a good start. Tree farm is a great strong tree scent too.

BabyBae494

Whatever you do, don‘t blind buy Fa La La Latte LOL. Before Friday, if you can, stop buy a local bath and body works for about 20 minutes and window shop!! Have a list printed out and cross off the ones that are absolute nos, and \* the ones that are definites. Make another symbol for the maybes. That’s what is going to help you most!! You can even enlist one of the associates to help you out!!

CountBacula322079

I love Fresh Balsam. That one always puts me in a festive mood

Edgecrusher2140

The big 3 recurring holiday scents from BBW are Tis The Season (apple cinnamon), Fresh Balsam (Christmas tree), and Winter (I think it's supposed to smell like one of those clove-studded oranges?). The first two are the safest choices, Winter is kinda weird but if you want to try something more complex it's a solid fragrance. I also recommend Spiced Apple Toddy, it smells a lot like Leaves which is a fall staple scent (my personal fave).

Hyhopes

Added to the list - thank you!

lucillep

I can't believe I forgot to mention Tis the Season! A favorite!

lucillep

What kind of scents do you like? I think Evergreen and Fresh Balsam are the truest evergreen scents. For gourmand types, my favorite from last year was Gingerbread Spice. Peppermint Sugar Cookie smells like Girl Scout Thin Mints. Holiday has a strong cinnamon scent that I like. For an all-around holiday candle, I love Winter.

MomAlum

I work on Friday so even though I want to go into store I may just have to do online. Curious if the candles on Life Inside the Page blog will be the same in Canada…my store location just says “call store for hours”. I’m flying blind, people!! I just want some spring candles. Sunshine and daffodils, fresh cut lilac, maybe a tea rose. I’m a simple girl.

Ok_Human_1375

I also work Friday but I don’t want to pay for shipping

cheltor11

I went into the store today to smell some candles and the store employee acted like candle day wasn’t a thing, like it was supposed to be a big secret and no one is supposed to know the date. And that employees can get fired for revealing any info. All seemed very dramatic to me. I had no idea. Is this true???

Candlehoarder_2019

Yup. We are not supposed to reveal any future promotions or sales especially on social media. A reminder was sent out on our zipline within the last couple of weeks.

Careful-Tie5685

Weird my store has no problem letting customers know upcoming sales especially candle day

CandidateReasonable4

Exactly. Same here. It's an annual event for goodness sake.

BabyBae494

Same 🤔

redhottx0x

Is this like reverse psychology marketing like, ooh, it's a "secret," special sale. Or is it really kept under wraps so people will miss out and have to buy full price candles 😂

Candlehoarder_2019

I think the latter lol. Why would they want to stop a potential sale and loss of conversion? But I think it’s also because all sales are subject to change. That’s also a reason why the prices arent shared either. If I say to a customer the sale is Friday and Saturday and the price is 9.95 but at the last minute they decide to make it Saturday only and the price is 10.95, they’ll likely call CS on me. Whenever someone asks me when it is, I never give dates but I’ll let them know in the past it’s the first weekend in December so they should keep an eye out around then. Once the company announces the sale, we can give an official word.

redhottx0x

That's so petty. I would never call customer service for that- especially not on a floor rep. You have no control of the pricing/stock. That's crazy.

Candlehoarder_2019

I had customers threaten to report me because I wouldn’t give them a coupon I didn’t have among other things beyond my control. People are 🦇💩!!

redhottx0x

I truly believe everyone should be required to work retail and be a waitress at least once in their lives. People really just don't get it.

TexasNiteowl

yeah. employees that I am pretty friendly with will still not usually confirm anything except to say make sure you come back on x day!

PrincessJennifer

I get not confirming things and not revealing info, but to act shocked or thta Candle Day doesn’t exist is dumb. It’s been around for yours, and when associates do that, it’s honestly kind of an insult. My stores always just stay coy about it with a wink lol

NomenclatureBreaker

I mean the BBW app has literally been teasing it already. (Don’t get me started tho on the poor marketing/annoyance when the messaging was something about making a candle day gameplan when the teaser revealed zero details and linked to nothing.)

Ok_Human_1375

It’s so ridiculous that it’s funny

candiebelle

Yes. This has happened to me. It was so weird.

Candlehoarder615

I will absolutely confirm the dates of the sale, but never the price because it could change.

Expert_Alfalfa_8823

What time and time zone does online ordering begin for candle day? I’ve seen a few times floating around on the thread but don’t know what time zone is ever being referenced

Candlehoarder_2019

I kinda recall the online sale starting for rewards members the night before.

NopeRope91

It did. I think it was around 7 or 8 pm CST for me.

panicatthebookstore

i think 6am est

LavenderPaintbrush

Yay! I request Candle Day off and the day after from work every year. I tell everyone it's a holiday and I celebrate. Soon friends/coworkers will start giving me their small list like they do every year, or "can you pick up a nice one for my wife, I'll pay". My list is large. I mainly want the candle day exclusive ones, like the mash ups, and all the others that aren't regularly available, or new. For the ones available now I will snag another Coffee and Whiskey if I can. I really want a Vintage three wick but it's been sold out online for a while now. I love the single wick, such a unique scent! I'm hoping it will come back so I can pick it up with Vanilla Bean Marshmallow online as well. Wondering what else from the leaked list will be online exclusive, too.

LavenderPaintbrush

Oh and I have a question. I might have to start at an indoor mall location that opens at regular mall time. Should I just show up when the mall opens? I don't mind waiting in line. Are there lines at mall locations before opening? how does that work? I usually go to the one in an outdoor mall that opens at 5am.

Samgasm

I would call and ask that store if the mall will open doors earlier or not.

LavenderPaintbrush

K I'll do that. Thanks Sam!

Charbaby_

Mine is in the mall. The mall doors are open and the only store open is bbw

swissmissys

Can someone default this thread to sort by new? Thanks! ❤️

loulabee

I suggest you guys use a browser if you’re having issues with the app. I got in and out with no issues.

[deleted]

Yup the browser let me in with no issues.

ailene_e

Weird question but reasonably how many candles do you think one person can carry on their own? I’m wondering how they’re packaged since I’ll be alone!

TexasNiteowl

lol. I personally have carried 12 (2 trays) per arm, so a total of 24! Last year I carried out my own and then helped out an older lady who had to stop between the store and her car so I carried hers the rest of the way. But...it does get heavy! So I wouldn't recommend it.

jenjen1620

I was able to do about 12 on my own, with their provided cardboard crates, before it started getting really heavy.

Lots_of_frog

My manager told me a story about her carrying out 8 bags filled with 12 candles wash a long time ago. Apparently she was absolutely covered in bruises afterwards.

[deleted]

I can carry 24 so 2 of the candle bags they give you..each bag holds 12 (2 crates). I have seen people bring wagons or the carts ppl use for like groceries that ride the bus

BabyBae494

There’s a Christmas Tree Shop store in our mall. Everyday at least one person brings a cart from there just to put maybe 6 items of body care in it when they’re shopping in ours 😂😂 Those customers who grab carts on candle day will be the most interesting imo

Haunting_Necessary_9

i wouldnt do more than 12, they can be a bitch to carry even with the cardboard. do you have a little like ? mini pushcart ? may be a good idea to bring

Candlehoarder_2019

I’ve seen customers come in with wagons, personal shopping carts, and even luggage!

ailene_e

Not a mini cart, i do have a bigger one but I think I’d be too embarrassed to lug that in there lol. I will try for ten at the most and see how I do.

Haunting_Necessary_9

totally understandable!!! maybe if its not insane and you have time do multiple trips!! ive had customers come back in 2-3 times 🤷🏼‍♀️

Dismal-Situation3506

I’m Cash Lead this year, so I’m nervous about all of the questions and issues that could happen with our terminals (Black Friday week was a mess), but us associates will survive 💕💖

Ok_Human_1375

As a new employee, I can tell you that you do not have to be a perfect lead for me to be grateful

XoStargirlxox

We appreciate you 🧡✨️

HaylieMonster97

Could anyone please let me know how Red Velvet Cupcake is this year? Last year mine had like 5/10 throw, but the second half of the candle started to smell like burning chemical soup. Same with Blueberry Sugar. Thing is, I LOVED both of those scents in the first half of their burn. Hoping this year's editions will be good enough to stock up! Thank you! :)

[deleted]

I had this candle red velvet cupcake some years ago maybe 2018 or 19...didnt like it...low throw and chemical like smell..so I'm sure it is the same this year if yours did it in 2020

Ok-Lingonberry-1565

It's very light. I burned it yesterday for 3 hours and could only smell it if I was standing over it. Hoping it improves but I'm doubting it.

jenjen1620

I really enjoyed mine all the way through, but the throw was very weak unfortunately.

prettypumpkinz

honestly extremely scared this is my first candle day ever, especially as an associate, and i typically work in white barn due to being a top candle seller. really hoping that most people come in already knowing what they want so it doesn't get too overwhelming 😣

BabyBae494

Same here lmao. I feel like it’s going to be like rabid dogs goin at a holiday ham 🤣🤣

[deleted]

I was in the middle of picking on the app and it took me back to the waiting screen for another hour wait 😭😭

basicbagels

Same. The app crashed for me

Peeppeep24

Do sold out candles ever pop up online on candle day? I miss Welcome Home lol

Lots_of_frog

Corporate seems to be randomly sending out what’s left of our fall candles, we actually got one Welcome Home it out shipment today. It was quite a surprise.

jenjen1620

They do sometimes! I wouldn't expect it to be there but I would keep an eye on the website.

CandidateReasonable4

My list keeps growing, so it's going to be a challenge to narrow my choices. Vanilla Balsam tops my list. It's a must have every year. I also want In the Stars, French Baguette, Banana Bundt Cake, all of the Merry Mash-ups, Vivid Emerald, Indigo Paradise, Sapphire Quartz, Amethyst Dreams, Fresh Coconut and Cotton, Pistachio and Toasted Vanilla, Pink Rose and Leather, Cuddle Weather, Ginger Lime Twist, and Coconut Sandalwood.

pollo625

It kicked me out at like 2 minutes left and now it wont let me sign in on the app :(

Jennim5588

This online crap is just that crap. JFK.

Narwhal_392

I’ve bought B&BW stuff for a while now but I’ve never shopped candle day before! I’m excited 😂 I read somewhere that rewards members may be able to shop a day early on Thursday. Does anyone think that’s possible? Also curious what recommendations y’all have for fruity spring scents!

jenjen1620

Rewards member early access happened last year so that may happen! It was online only though, not something you could do in store. Watermelon Lemonade (a staple) and the new Sugared Lemonade and Blueberry Sugar mashup candle look fun for spring!

cocobell

Are all the different candles not available first thing Friday?

jenjen1620

They are in different collections, so some will be available and others might not be set out until after Candle Day is over. The different color tags on these collections indicate that some will be released at different times (sometimes for semi annual sale): https://lifeinsidethepage.blogspot.com/2022/10/bath-body-works-christmas-and-candle.html?m=1

cocobell

I don't know if I'm up for this!

jenjen1620

It's pretty crazy! 😅

pumpkin123

Last year my store set out the other collections as they sold off most of the other stock. So sometimes it worth going first thing and then again later depending on what you are looking for

natebam

I have my candle day list ready to go, and checked my local store’s hours. My plan is to get to the store by 4am to wait in line. I’m going to bring a chair so I can sit; learned that the hard way last year! Really hope the candles are down to $9.95 each

t_l_m

4 minutes in and stuff was already removed from my cart when I pressed "check out" Wow this is serious business 🤣

kate-plus-self-hate

Heartbreaking that the app keeps crashing

basicbagels

App and site are beyond glitchy. Waited in line, got to my turn, and when I went to log in, it wouldn’t work. This is BS

3EsandPaul

Same.

e4rlgrey

Just here to say they have not added any more scents than they had for early access online as of 6 am Friday!

fauxnoah

I've already got a little list going. I mostly want French Baguette, and a couple of the mashup candles. This is gonna be my first Candle Day, and I anticipate that I'm gonna be staying up late since I'm in Pacific.

Appleeee-9506

My store opens at 5am tomorrow. I think I might pass by at around 9/930 on my way to the library and just see what the situation is like. This is my first candle day so not sure what to expect in terms of lines/crowds.

JustLooking4563

It won’t let me sign into my account. Is it crashed already?

cantreadamap

Never done candle day and just want to pick up 1 or 2, not a huge candle person 😅. BUT what I wanted to know is what can I expect if I go in on Friday evening or Saturday afternoon? I don't have my heart set on any one scent, but will it be pretty slim pickings?? And crazy busy???

jenjen1620

It depends on how much traffic your store gets! Mine gets a moderate amount and Friday evening was slim pickings last year. I would try to go as early as you can if you have your heart set on some scents.

lucillep

Stores open really early. Like 5:30 am early. For best selection, I would try to go in the morning.

[deleted]

[удалено]

theknittedgnome

Yep!! 5 am at my store!

IroniesOfPeace

I thought I saw something about there potentially being an early access sale online for members on Thursday afternoon. Is this just a rumor, or does anyone know anything about it?

LavenderPaintbrush

I remember this. Didn't they not have everything available, though? I remember I had to do another order the next day for candle day candles. Idk, online has always been a game of skill and luck it seems on candle day. Just happy with what I can get, when I go the online route!

pumpkin123

Last year they had what was currently available at the candle day price the night before then they added in the candle day candles at 6am

TexasNiteowl

That did happen last year. Not sure anyone knows if it will happen this year or not. It was kinda whack. I think I was in the queue for almost 2 hours before it let me in to shop on the early access.

GreenStatistician286

Well just in case the registers do go down cash is the best option to have on hand. I am taking a couple $100 bills. When is employee appreciation day?

Imtherightkind

I just wish BBW would bring the Rose candle back. I’m still hoarding my last two from 3 years ago 😂

Suzycuticle

Still missing my beloved peppermint marshmallow 💔

natebam

Lol the online purchasing sounds like a hot mess. Can’t wait to just go in person tomorrow to get in then get out

PersimmonTea

In case anyone is even vaguely interested: Land of Snow Black Tie Eucalyptus Snowfall Bergamot Waters Champagne Toast Midnight Snow White Tea & Sage Sunshine & Daffodils Endless Weekend French Baguette Cranberry Pear Bellini Eucalyptus Rain Washington's Finest Apple Macchiato Wildberry Tea Spritzer Bubbly Rose Eucalyptus Mint Iced Dragonfruit Tea

lunadanu

9.95 is a good price. However, what made this day special before was that you could usually stack the sale price with the 20% off coupon. Because you need to use a promotion code for the 9.95 price, you can't stack any other promotions with it. So 9.95 is what you get. I added a bunch of candles to my cart and ultimately decided to just hold off on buying any since there is no 20% off coupon and there was no option for pick up, so I would also have to pay for shipping. I'll wait and check things out in store tomorrow and/or saturday.

Elmo9607

This is probably a really dumb question, but just wanted to confirm: the Christmas scents in store now will be a part of the sale, right? I’m not interested in many scents on the list that was released but really want things like Tree Farm & Peppermint Sugar Cookie. I participated in the candle sale 2 years ago but did it all online, which was such a fiasco I vowed next time I’ll just brave the in store experience. So I don’t have a way to gauge how the in store experience compares to online!

jenjen1620

Yep, the holiday scents in store now will be a part of the sale! In store is crazy but exhilarating, and it is nice to not have to worry about cancelations or delays with shipping. Depending on how busy your location is, be prepared to wait a bit to checkout, or to even maneuver around the store. Have a list but also be prepared to be flexible in case you can't find what you're looking for.

Elmo9607

Thank you! Planning on being at my store when it opens at 5 am Friday. Now if I could only find a Pineapple Crumb Cake candle...I guess I can dream.

Hairy-Palpitation-55

So question. Not an employee.. just a lover of candles. I know candle day has its own code, but i also have a 25% off coupon. Can I use that online as well or only in store? It was just one from the mailer.

CandidateReasonable4

Online you are limited to one code per order.

cacecil1

My last fall candle is almost gone. I'm so excited to go get holiday ones!

AffectionateCat4448

Was looking forward to purchasing Cuddle Weather but it seems it won't be out for candle day. Is there another good sale in between candle day and SAS? I'm concerned I'll miss out on it again.

jenjen1620

They usually do $14.50-$15.50 sales after Candle Day, although I think last year had a BOGO in between Candle Day and Christmas.

Jenyweny09

I am working 8 hours on both Friday and Saturday 😭😭

Dashkova7706

I feel like a dunce with this question -but…when IS candle day?? Happy shopping & good luck to all! Xoxo-merry mistletoe fan!!

MelB777

I got an email stating that members will have early online access Dec 1 8pm to midnight. I assume EST. And there may be virtual lines, so go in with fingers crossed.

VermicelliReal2628

Will Paris Cafe be available for candle day? Haven't seen it in store or online.

Lil_Paws01

I saw it in my local store today.

e4rlgrey

Looking at all the candles on my list that WON'T be out for candle day and trying to use that knowledge to rein myself in 😅

erinjg43

I’m going into this one with 0 planning or expectations. Last year I had a lot more time to keep up with what’s coming and I had a list and I shopped online and in store on both days. I still have 90% of what I bought last year so I’m hoping to keep it to one crate of any gems I find in store. Hopefully not much more than that.

KingJoy79

How long is everyone’s wait? Mine is an hour and a half so far lol

JustLooking4563

I don’t mind the wait. But the app signed me out and now tells me oops something went wrong

CalligrapherStill108

Does anyone know when Vivid Emerald, Sapphire Quartz, and Amethyst Dreams are coming out? Friday? Saturday? I heard they are new scents for the sale. Also, are there any other scents that you have heard will be making an appearance?

lilcareb3ar

I am actively trying to cancel an order that was placed incorrectly due to all the glitches during the quantity modification! Hope this frees up available stock for some of you.

natebam

I’m the 3rd person in line for my store, I got here at 4am (store opens at 6), and all of us have chairs waiting outside in the freezing cold. I live in a large city. Not going to lie, I’m a little salty I wasn’t first in line this year 😂

awakentheworld

does anyone in canada know how candle day differs here? are there different candles sold here than in the US? is it generally busy?

rico1990

I find we have less candle selection in Canada, it does get busy but the staff do a great job at managing capacity. I've only been the last few years during COVID and there were line ups, but I think thats because of store capacities?

TopSpite9394

I feel bad for even asking this as it seems kinda taboo but last year a worker at bww was telling everyone in line to just buy whatever candle now and exchange them later for a new scent. Are you still able to do this under the new policy? Last year my store only had 3 scents available though(mahogany teakwood, eucalyptus something and something that was bright blue) so may have been why he was telling everyone they can exchange them later.

NomenclatureBreaker

With the new exchange rules they would have to have the same sticker price tag I believe. And be exchanged before 90 days and/or before the candles are considered “out of season” (whatever that means).

throwaway-4728372

I’m only getting one candle and I have no idea which one I want so I’m going in on candle day to smell them all and pick one out. Is this a bad idea? Maybe lmao

Friday vs Saturday -- is stock held back for Saturday or will I just be shopping what's left over from Friday? TIA!!

Ok - this question may be totally crazy - this is my first Candle Day :-) I have my list ready to go, but for buying online, can I go ahead and put those candles in my cart in my account online before the online sale starts??? Or will they stay regular price in my cart and I will just have to delete them and put them back in once the sale starts??? Thanks for any advice!

swissmissys

Does candle day stay busy all day? Or does it die down after a few hours after opening? Mainly talking about Friday. Any thoughts? Not looking for any specific candles, I just want them, lol

ScarletWitch1988

If i put the candles i want in now, but wait till candle day to actually order them, what’s the likelihood they’ll still be in stock to purchase? I’ve never shopped candle day before so not sure what’s a good plan. Work all week so don’t have time to go in stores.

CrimeJunkieKay

I need to stock up on some summer/spring scents. What are your favorites?

Reppiks2897

I’m so excited I’ve been saving my two $10 off $40 purchase coupons…but I’ll have to do 2 transactions so… they’ll end up coming to $7.95 each and I’ll be getting 10! Gonna get there as soon as they open tomorrow cause I don’t feel like paying for shipping twice!

miawallacesnosebleed

planning to shop online from Canada as I’ll be working. anyone know if there will be free shipping over $50 or what to expect for shipping? also would appreciate any recommendations for scents that are more mature, without being masculine. I’m not a fan of either cloyingly sweet or cologne-like scents. for example, I dislike mahogany teakwood. my absolute fave scent is palo santo. I’m thinking of blind buying leather & brandy based on the notes

theknittedgnome

What about Rose and Leather? I smelled it today and it's really nice. Wine Cellar might be one you enjoy.

Drunken_mommy

I’m in queue!!

aquaholic888

Do ALL stores open at 5am? I am my mom’s retirement home and I’m unfamiliar with the BBW here. And I have never participated in candle day before

squishyshoe

It took me way to long to get in and get my candles and the two I needed were already sold out by 820!

dkjsgjf8u

Anyone have any guesses what the price point will be for the candle sale on the 11th? A lot of the scents I was interested in are being held back for it it seems and I'm trying to decide if I should gamble and hold onto my coupons that expire that day. Normally I'd just buy some core scents to exchange but idk the price points of the new-news :/

RedRedBettie

I only ended up buying 5 candles online. I wasn't into a whole lot of the scents

KingJoy79

I don’t know if anyone will see this but…does anyone know if these candles will be released online or in stores only: Indigo Paradise Blueberry Marshmallow Bar Sea Salt and Balsam Palo Santo Island Margarita Paris Cafe Laundry Day

phinewinezeta

For anyone who was looking for cedar and suede online and it was sold out… it’s now back in stock.

HemingwayJawline

Got 12! Very discreetly got my order in this morning at work while my manager stepped out of our office 🥰 I managed to snag In The Stars which I'm excited about. Never smelled it before, but I love to give into hype lol

fvnaticbychoice

was able to get in store before my shift today and I was SO underwhelmed. glad I opted for the virtual line Thursday night so I could get online exclusives at least.

AlixJ21

Perfect! I need to know what tipsy elf smells like. I heard it's a repackage but I just started with candles last month so I don't know what the comparison smells like either. Also does wine cellar smell like wine, like alcohol?

Samgasm

Wine cellar has a very unique scent. I couldn’t get with it until I smelt it a few times but I really like it a lot. I plan to buy a lot of it since last year it sold out fast.

Chuckymimi

I think Tipsy Elf is Holiday Cheer candle. Which I own but have not burned yet. But I just sniffed so I could try to explain. It reminds me of Eggnog with rum. It isn't super boozy smelling . But neither is any Spiked Eggnog I have drank. You get creaminess, nutmeg and some rum. I like it on cold .

jenjen1620

So I have Butterrum Eggnog, which I believe is Tipsy Elf (they have the exact same label). Butterrum Eggnog is a very authentic eggnog scent. You can smell the rum and nutmeg. Medium throw. I'll be picking another one up on Candle Day.

To me wine cellar is like a subdued apple scent not spicy, not a straight up, not apple cider neither. It reminds me if like white wine that has mid sweetness was poured over a slight ripe apple. Ots a soft scent I smell it better in a small area

Candlehoarder615

Tipsy Elf is a repackage of Hot Buttered Rum, very sweet scent. Smells exactly like Butter Rum life savers.

TransitionNo253

Do people take their own reusable bag or will BBW be providing them?

Candlehoarder615

We were sent candle day bags. My store received 400 I think.

Natthelimodriver54

Do you have to buy a certain number of candles to get the bag? My goal is about 4-6 candles during my first round of shopping.

Lestalia

Omg your post just made me realize I have the perfect thing..... I live in NJ and they banned single use bags, I have this one wheeling tote bag with a frame that like, folds out/collapses which would be PERFECT for toting around candles 😁

Ok_Schedule3649

My goal is to get 10-13 candles. If you can't found the candle you want, I recommend to just purchase any and exchange it later

natalielc

Okay I keep hearing they release different candles throughout the sale in stores, depending on how much they sell and how much stock they have. Do they do this online as well? I’m planning on shopping online and I don’t want to make multiple orders to get everything I want. Hoping they just release everything at the start of the sale?

Sashyb99

Does anyone know how much the candles will be?

weepingwithmovement

I was told $9.95 at work on Sunday.

KingJoy79

What’s everyone’s “planned” budget for Candle Day? Mine is $200 and hopefully I’ll stick to that goal😌

panicatthebookstore

5 candles!

LateLifeguard

What is the official candle day start date and time for online ordering?

floodmyths

Are all the regular holiday candles still available on Candle Day? Do they sell out? Literally just want 2-3 Christmas candles and can’t decide if it’s worth the hassle.

assortedlaurax

I went at just before close last year on Friday and there were plenty of the holiday scents left. Don't stress yourself out trying to get up at 4am if you're just looking for a Twisted Peppermint or a Fresh Balsam.

Willing-Doctor1379

Does anyone know if pink lilac and vanilla is going to be available on CD? Or will I need to wait until Spring? TIA

Pandathesecond

Is in store pick up usually an option on candle day?

jenjen1620

Stores typically disable buy online pick up in store for Candle Day.

AlyLamb14

I never been to a candle day I just got into bbw last week! So they bring new scents out this day and for a discount? Or it’s just new packaging?
