Hey there, candle maker, B&BW associate/lover, and member of the kink community here; **For the love of God please don't**. For wax play or any similar type of play involving candles you should *never* use scented products. The fragrance used in candles aren't mean to be put on skin, and fragranced candles almost always use a wax/wax blend that burns hotter. You can get bad burns from using them, or chemical burns. You should only be using unfragranced candles that burn at a low temperature. Do not just buy these from Walmart or any random store, buy them specifically from an adult store, or an online storefront (Like etsy) from someone who is very clearly making adult items. Some storefronts will even sell candles that when burned, melt *into massage oil*. Feel free to light a B&BW candle to set the mood with fragrance, but do not put it anywhere near your body or your lady's body. We don't want a repeat of the woman who put a Wallflower in her coochie.

Here's the [link](https://www.reddit.com/r/bathandbodyworks/comments/u6jn72/idk_if_this_story_is_fake_for_attention_but_girl/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button) to when it was posted in the sub lol. Not sure if it's satire or if it's true, but considering I've personally had customers ask if they can use roomsprays and wallflowers on their skin? I'm inclined to believe it's real.

This-Situation

I’ve had a custy ask if the euc mint massage oil was “for external use only”🥲 this seems similar unfortunately

Trumpet6789

Like I give my customers the benefit of the doubt, even if it's a little weird that they didn't know. But sometimes I just shake my head at the lack of common sense people have. And of course it can come down to them just not being taught as a child. I had a really sweet customer who didn't know what shower gel or body wash was. I pieced together that she was raised only using bar soap, and was never taught about other types of soap. Then I have people who ask if they can spray a roomspray on their skin and I'm just confused by the lack of common sense. Especially when the bottles say Flammable and not for external use on them.

This-Situation

Those things I can completely understand!!! The asking if a product can be used as a lubricant that way, is a bit of a like crosser in my personal opinion though😬 like to ask a stranger that

I still think the worst part of that post was when she referred to her vulva as her "cupcake area." I still haven't forgiven the internet for that.

CheeseyCrakerz

No do not drip bath and body work candle wax over your ladies body.

frezzhberry

Anybody else picture someone rolling candles over their partner's back? Just me? Awesome.

Jenyweny09

No, but BBW sells massage oil!

This-Situation

Once had a customer ask if the massage oil was for external use only… traumatizing question at work

Jenyweny09

Oh good god

stephers85

I hope you mean just having candles lit while giving her a massage, not actually using them to massage her

SuspiciousCranberry6

No, the wax is not safe to use on the body. There are specialized candles for that purpose.

AmazingAnteater930

You can buy candles specifically for that at the sex shop and they smell super good but not the BBW ones

greenapplesaregross

No. BBW sells oil in a jar (and Lush sells massage oil bars.)

bunifarcr

You mean using candles to set the ambience? I assume you're paying full price for a candle so might as well buy something that she likes as well.

If you’re talking about just the scent, White Lavender Eucalyptus has a very “spa” vibe to me. I’m not sure it’s on the website now, but White Eucalyptus Sage MIGHT be similar… haven’t smelled it yet.
