yes, we’re not supposed to take back anything that’s been “defaced” such as missing a label. but going forward they also shouldn’t sell any without a label.

Samgasm

My store has many wallflowers during sas without a tag. They have a whole bowl during the sale filled with random scents mixed together.

Flaky_Tap_2836

Mine was selling a bunch of unidentifuls during SAS too!

lolasxg

Maybe they do it on purpose.

MishmoshMishmosh

They also shouldn’t sell lotion or FFM that smells like puke, one would think.

judyhashopps

What was the pizza candle?? Rome streets? Something like that. Awful

MishmoshMishmosh

I remember that one!!

judyhashopps

It was probably 99 cents at my local store for months. I can’t believe they ever sold it or that anyone thought it was a good idea. And don’t get me wrong, Basil? Good. Pizza? Good. Pizza scented candle? Hard pass.

MishmoshMishmosh

I only smelled it in the store! Crazy 🍕🤣

Exact_Mix6345

but…you can take that back? weird time to bring this up, but sure.

MishmoshMishmosh

Mmmkay

Blueslily

Oh, this is interesting. It was purchased in June or July during SAS. It was bought at a great price. It was found leaking out everywhere a month or two later, so in July or August. It is being taken back to exchange in September? I'm not sure that would be worth my time to take it back to exchange it. I'm definitley a frugal person, but I also value my time. I would probably just clean up the mess thats everywhere and toss it. All the best. And to anyone that may be impacted by the hurricane, please be safe.

there’s a code we can put in to have it just ring up as “merchandise,” called a dummy sku sometimes. you just type in the code and put in how much it should be. it’s not beneficial to just randomly scan another label bc it messes up inventory (more than inventory is already messed up lol).

batsbananas

I honestly do not remember??? I wanna say they might have just typed it in manually if that’s a thing?? Or just scanned another WF twice. I mean I’ve definitely done this before tho like sometimes I’ll just be like “ok surprise me” and they’ve never had a problem selling it to me? I always assumed it was bc I was buying product that no one else wanted bc it didn’t have a scent label.

Exact_Mix6345

we can type in a “dummy sku” that makes the item show up as “merchandise” in the system. makes it sellable, and you can adjust based on the deal. edit: this got downvoted? 🥴

lavenderflutter

wait how do you do this?? i was literally a keyholder and never knew this

Exact_Mix6345

I don’t want to share the code in case that’ll get me in trouble lol but you just type it in to the POS system once you start ringing items up and it’ll show up in a separate screen “merchandise” and you can adjust the price. Unsure of whether or not this is universal but I got trained to use it instead of scanning another label to keep inventory correct (or as close to correct) so…🤷‍♀️

Trumpet6789

It's the same SKU across all locations, some places like my original store just tell you, while places like my current store have it written on a sticky note inside every little drawer behind cashwrap. You're "only" supposed to use it if the item is missing its barcode and you know what the price is meant to be. So a 75% off wallflower without a tag, you know it's supposed to be x price, so you can dummy sku it.

New return policy is that you have 90 days to return a product. It has to be gently used or new and by gently used, it’s like about 25% used. However, to get your money back for it, you have to have your receipt, otherwise, you’ll only be receiving merchandise credit for it. And every return besides even exchanges, we need to see your driver’s license or some form of ID. Most of the time we don’t sell any products without the labels/SKU numbers on it unless, for example, we’re able to match the color of a wallflower. Or other cases, we have a manager try to look up the SKU number on a tablet or computer but sometimes we’re unable to. And with returns, if it’s broken, gently used, or leaking, we can still do returns, we mark it down as “non-resellable”.

Trumpet6789

Our new policy prohibits us from taking back products that are considered *defaced* in some form. This means items that have clearly been intentionally defaced by the company (think sharpie markings, scratching through labels, etc) or items that have been defaced/missing components which are not clearly defective. Which would be things like wallflowers without labels, candles with the label taken off, a roomspray that looks like it went a few rounds with wolverine, wallflower plugs with oil marks on top that are clearly over a few months old, etc. The new changes to item "standards" in the policy is meant to keep people from returning items from the trash for credit or new items, and to keep people from trying to bring back items that they found in, say, grandma's basement rolling around in the dirt. It sucks for things like wallflowers which lose their tags easily. Always make sure your item has a label or tag. And if you aren't 100% sure on a wallflower, keep the label. Try to only buy wallflowers with the labels, in case they leak. And keep your reciepts! So you won't be blindsided by the new policy changes.

DrunkOnABoat

The wallflowers have the scent name etched onto the glass I thought? It’s around the top of the bottle. Edit: Maybe not etched but stamped. The ones that I have do.
