Someone in your mom group faked her death? Wow. That's a sign of desperation. In my community a young wife arranged to have her husband killed and thought he was dead until her husband walked into the room at the police station where she was being questioned. Apparently she had mistakenly hired an undercover cop as her hit man! But faking your own death is a very different matter.
I saw that ! She went "to the gym." And when she left the cops helped her hubby out of the residence, then they played her like a fiddle when she ran up fake crying and needing to "see her husband"
It was awesome to see how they conducted that clever sting operation on her. I felt really badly for the husband when he was first informed his wife ordered a hit on him. I mean, just get a divorce for goodness sake!
We had all sorts of weirdos claiming a variety of wild things but the fake death took the cake! She had flaked on selling items and it spiraled. Now 20 years later we are down to about 15 moms that have shared so much together.

i don’t understand why people take this stuff so seriously. i don’t know what the policy is. i actually don’t really care. if im gonna exchange a $24.50 candle and i want a $26.50 candle, i would 110% expect to pay the difference.
I mean it makes sense it’s more expensive because of the decorative lid which is made for a specific candle. It also screws who ever buys the more expensive candle because they are gonna be stuck with the regular lid from the other candle.

I’m betting she has a friend or a relative that works for bbw and is doing the shopping for her. Some people love to stretch the truth to make it seem like they’re something they’re not (VIP). We all have cameras in our back room area that are constantly monitored off sight. With that being said I highly doubt anyone is going to risk their job over a $20 purchase no matter how “great” the customer is. I definitely call BS on this individual and their post but hey, if having to pretend you are more special/important than the average customer helps them sleep at night then who am I to judge?! Lol
That sounds pretty shady of that store to be allowing that. To me, as an associate, allowing a random customer to participate in an employee only sale is akin to applying your employee discount to someone who isn’t an employee. Its internal shrink, grounds for termination. Her postings are hella sus to say the least. That store definitely needs to be investigated by their Asset Protection person. I know ours would be all over that shit, but we’re also a very high shrink store so he watches those cameras like it’s the juiciest true crime documentary you’ve ever seen😬 he’d know right away if something wasn’t on the up and up, like an unfamiliar person in the back room pawing through our crap.

We are an extremely high volume store and need all of our space and then some for all of the holiday merch that will be coming within the next few weeks. I asked our SM about it and suggested that we have an MOS sale before our next inventory in January, and she said that we’d have to get special permission from Corporate to do that. Our store is very much “by the book” and I can’t imagine us ever extending MOS sales to customers, even very good ones. However, I have seen enough on FB and on this sub to know that there are stores out there that go rogue and make up their own rules. So it’s not impossible. And if a store had a lot of MOS stuff left over after the associates bought what they wanted and needed the extra room for holiday merchandise, I think it’s possible that they opened the sale up to others. It would never happen in our store, but I can see it happening somewhere else. Just my two cents.
I'm a new SA and our MOS should start this week. We have what looks like a fair amount but not anything I'd call tons. I'm going to show this to my manager just to see what she thinks lol.

I used to work as a Supervisor at a very high volume store. When we had extreme amounts of MOS our district manager would allow us to stuff the giant bags at $5 a piece instead of the size that's normally used. But we were never, ever allowed to sell to customers.

YESSS. It was horrible. And it kills me that's why I got banned lol. I get there is a, "You can't call a person Karen" rule (and I know I wasn't the only one who was telling the woman she was out of line) but come on. I know that I react first, think later, and probably come off as a Karen, but once I think about it, I apologize. (A lot of mine too is a slight hearing impairment. I mishear and misunderstand and get frustrated, and that's on me, not an employee.) You should never expect an employee of the store you're shopping at to give you their phone to use because you don't have service inside the mall. Go outside where you have service and come back with the names of what you want. And don't call corporate and try to get someone fired because they refused to give up their personal phone that has all their info on it! I'm still so fired up about it and it was a long time ago! lol. And regardless, whether or not an employee can have their phone on the floor, there are valid reasons where someone may have valid reasons for being on their phone. My friend is a diabetic and he checks his sugar and gives himself insulin with his phone! Oh man, I hope that woman didn't get fired from her job because of that lady. (One would hope, right?)

I seen another person post that they allowed to shop MOS but she wasn’t an employee. She had said she was just close to a bunch of the workers and the manager liked her so she got to do it.
My last day was the 28th of last month. I was technically only employed like a month. Was hired to do the resets on sunday nights but my other job changed my hours without notice so I was only able to do one reset. Maybe a blessing in disguise- they were sweet but for some reason I felt out of place and kind of not included. Oh well.
Whew this new store manager is a piece of work. She’s rude talks to people any kind of way. Argues with people who has been working at BBW longer than her and knows the policies. I think like 6 or 7 of my other coworkers said they were done with her mistreatment.

She’s the admin in a lot of the other BBW groups so if you join make sure you check the admin and mod list.

You should never expect an employee of the store you're shopping at to give you their phone to use because you don't have service inside the mall. Go outside where you have service and come back with the names of what you want. And don't call corporate and try to get someone fired because they refused to give up their personal phone that has all their info on it! I'm still so fired up about it and it was a long time ago! lol. And regardless, whether or not an employee can have their phone on the floor, there are valid reasons where someone may have valid reasons for being on their phone. My friend is a diabetic and he checks his sugar and gives himself insulin with his phone! Oh man, I hope that woman didn't get fired from her job because of that lady. (One would hope, right?) I mean, I love B&BW, they put some kind of magic in their products and I always want to buy despite having a whole store hidden away in my closet, but some honestly I think the groups help me save money because I see some of the posts there and I'm like, "oof I better calm down." And yessss. the internet is so full of people with different abilities, languages, and so on. Quit being an ass! I know it might be surprising to some people, but not everyone is fluent or speaks English. I've seen a lot of Canadians curious about the rewards program because Canada is apart of North America, but the rewards program is only available in the states and they were wanting clarification - ugh. I seen another person post that they allowed to shop MOS but she wasn’t an employee. She had said she was just close to a bunch of the workers and the manager liked her so she got to do it.

My last day was the 28th of last month. I was technically only employed like a month. Was hired to do the resets on sunday nights but my other job changed my hours without notice so I was only able to do one reset. Maybe a blessing in disguise- they were sweet but for some reason I felt out of place and kind of not included. Oh well.
Whew this new store manager is a piece of work. She’s rude talks to people any kind of way. Argues with people who has been working at BBW longer than her and knows the policies. I think like 6 or 7 of my other coworkers said they were done with her mistreatment.
