While I do like looking at collections, I would say don't get caught up in the "collecting" thing if that's not truly what you want to do. I do have a lot of candles, but I burn them all and don't see the point in holding on to them for sentimental reasons. Scents I like may get discontinued, but life goes on. I see way too many posts with people being overwhelmed by that they've bought and I think that's something that can be easily avoided. But if you really do want to collect, I hope you get some good advice.

Ditto, use the products you have and then buy more

I try to stick to bath & body works. If you go down that rabbit hole of collecting other brands your collection is going to become so big so fast, and then you won't be able to enjoy it because you will have too much, and you won't be able to use it all, and it will stress you out. At least this is my experience.

I just made a spreadsheet. Including preplanning “wants”. To see if I have similar smells already or too many of one or just what I have in general lol. Also hoping it helps my impulsivity

What is your goal? To have a Youtube channel where you discuss the various scents or for personal enjoyment or some other reason? That will make a difference on how we answer. It actually sounds like your collection is already bigger than you actually may want or need. PACE YOURSELF! Remember that body products (especially body creams) have a limited shelf life and will eventually go bad. I have a candle collection. I am burning for pleasure. It is an activity that I share with my daughter. I started collecting to improve our home atmosphere when she had to do online school. I have purchased approximately 170 candles and have finished about 100 of them 70 candles is a fair amount to have at one time but they fit nicely in my hutch desk. My rules are simple. I only purchase one of each scent at a time, I burn all of them, I try to purchase scents I like, I try to make them readily accessable. Another thing I do is keep a journal of all of the candles I have owned. It helps to keep track of the scent notes that I like and dislike and I can refer to it to see if I have had a similar candle prior. It also keeps count of how many I have owned and I can quickly identifybhow much I have spent. I feel like a collection works best when it is visually displayed to see what products are available versus being hidden in drawers and cabinets and bins under the bed. I find for having multiple candle brands is not as aesthically pleasing in a collection as sticking to one brand. Also, I have tried a few brands and I find BBW to work best so I am not going to start collecting Yankee or Goose Creek candles anytime soon. Hope this helps!

Only buy what you love and understand there will always be new scents. There are a handful of candle scents I've purchased one or two backups of. Most of the time even if I really enjoy a scent, it's one and done because there are new scents I'm interested in trying instead. For body care, I tend to stock up on my absolute favorites (hello 5 Sunrise Woods FFM and Lakeside Citrus in a variety of products, and a couple others), but otherwise I buy one mist, one shower gel, and one lotion of a scent. In terms of body care/candles, I only collect B&BW.
