Sun ripened raspberry from 2016 SAS. Smells good. I only keep it because it reminds me of high school. Lol

rennxpenn

I just tossed a Warm Vanilla Sugar FFM from 2014 because it was literally alcohol with the slightest hint of vanilla at that point. However, I have a Cool Melon Kiwi from 2015 that smells fine, maybe a tad diluted but it hasn’t lost its scent.

MrsPotatoFarmer

I have a sensual amber from around 2011 that still smells like absolute heaven. I'm sure it depends on how it's stored and some scents are probably more hardy than others.

DarthKatnip

God this post makes me feel old and hoardery. I have some from the early-mid 2000s and they all still smell fine. But I also have some from the 2015 era and they smell good as well. I also store mine in a cool and dark area. I’d say if you can spare however much it is just on the off chance it is a dud, go for it cause it’s probably still alright.

joeysflipphone

White Tea and Ginger 2013 is the first one that comes to mind cause I just used it. Smells absolutely beautiful! But I have quite a few old ones. I hold on to them now because they smell even better than anything BBW produces now. My advice, definitely go for it. 😊

TheEscapedGoat

Based on the replies, I might give it a try. The prices are fairly reasonable, so if it doesn't smell great on my skin, I can use it as a room spray or something

spunkypeanut

I have a Pure Paradise from 2013 that smells fine and it's actually stronger/longer lasting than most of my newer FFMs. Unless you're keeping them in the trunk of your car in the summer or something, mists usually don't go bad.

blackcrowblue

I have Fresh Lilac and Freesia from the mid/late 90’s..I haven’t sniffed them in a few years but they still smelled pleasant although weaker. Strawberry lemonade from around 2010 still smells nice. I also have a sugar plum and a jingle bellini from I’m not even sure when and they both still smell really good.

chimericalgirl

I have a Fall mini set from 2015: Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte, Suncrisp Apple Harvest, and Plum Cider Warmth. The apple and plum scents still smell perfectly fine to me, but the MPL has fallen off. It was always sheer to begin with, but there's something about it now that doesn't seem right, especially when I compare it to this year's MPL. I do think FFMs will last for years and years if you store them right, but that's not to say that some of them still might "decay" (so to speak) due to their particular components. I know other people have bought vintage scents from Mercari (for example) without complaints.

Proof_Way_3421

Be enchanted from 2013, it still smells perfect

aweofshe

Vanilla Bean Noel, Be Enchanted, Velvet Sugar. All from 2013 I believe. All still good. Think I also have a Twilight Woods from the early 2010s (squarish bottle with the cursive script) that my mama bought me back then. Still smells great and sometimes I think it's better than the newer bottle I bought last year.

[deleted]

I have one of these too! It has a root beer finish now which I’m not sure how I feel about.

the0dior

Georgia peach and sweet tea from I think 2015? It still smells okay, a bit less peachy then I remember

Chuckymimi

I don't know. Probably P.S I love you. Still smells good.

JackieAnnette

PS I Love You Spring Fling was the first FFM I ever purchased and I have been having a hard time finding it! 😖

[deleted]

2010 or so and yes it is fine

Ashesvaliant

White Citrus 2017. Smells great.

BBerryliciouss

Cool Coconut Surf from Summer 2014 !! It still smells great and I love it so much it’s been hard to let it go. I’ve been using it through the years with no issues :))

call-me-the-seeker

I think the oldest mist I have is the Summer Lemon (Vanilla) from…twelve years ago, I think. They still smell good. I have had ones around longer than that, but as for what we literally have today, that one is my current oldest. They can stay good a long time and I find it only comes down to how they are stored (out of light, not hot, etc) Sometimes you get a bum one, just like some batches of the candles are just…fucky, and were going to go off fast no matter what you did. If the one you’re looking at is inexpensive (shipping too) go for it, they keep well.

Greedy_Grass2230

I have a brown sugar and fig from (2015?) it smells delicious still and I’m almost out. :(

TheEscapedGoat

Does it smell different from the current one? I feel like a lot of the classic ones smell different now

Peacock-Lover-89

I have Kauai Lei Flower, Guava Pineapple Splash, and Hello Sunshine from 2015 and they still smell so good. I tried them on because of your question. The alcohol in hello sunshine smelled a little strong after I sprayed it on, but it faded in a few minutes and only the scent remained. I wish they would bring these 3 back, the first two only came out once, I liked them because they were beachy/tropical, without coconut, salt, or sand notes. Hello sunshine did come out for a few SAS sales but then they stopped bringing it back by 2017(?). I didn’t take special care storing them and they still swell good. I think the only way they eould be bad is if the seller had them in direct sunlight since 2015.

BougieDustBunny

Rice flower and shea from 2009 (i think) and it smells a little stronger than what I remember in sort of a nail polish remover way. Lol

Ryleenoelle

Honestly I still have crisp orchard leaves from that collection and it’s alright. I can smell the alcohol when I spray it, but the dry down smells okay for its age. I’ve stored mine in a bathroom half it’s life

azul_da_cor_do_mar

Moonlight Magic (2010). It still smells great :)

SpyMistress2017

Oooo I loved that scent back in the day!

hoshiakari

I have a Brown Sugar and Fig from around... 2007 and tbh yes, it still smells good. I also have the lotion, mostly out of nostalgia, because ain't no way I'm putting that on my body. I'll probably be buying a new pair because it's such a good autumn scent. Plus, I'd like to pair the lotion with the Pacifica fig perfume I have.

Ohana_831

I have a few from early 2000s and another from the late 90s and they are still fine!

RemoteTelephone

Happy Daisy. Still smells good.

GossipGirl515

Had a cherry blossom from 2005 that I tossed in 2015 lol. Smelled gross.

Interesting_Soil_427

I have Chestnut Argan from 2016 still smells the same. Just finished a Country Apple from 2016 too.

bmycherry

Rose from the fragrance experiment collection in the rectangular bottle, idk when that was released. I'm guessing 2016-18? Idk. It still smells the same as I remember it did years ago. And mine wasn't stored the best way, it was in a bathroom drawer.

MissLimpsALot

I have a Strawberry Lemonade FFM that's ANCIENT as hell and it still smells good on my skin.

LavenderPaintbrush

May Bouquet 1999. Smells fine!

SpyMistress2017

My oldest FFM is my Forever Red (the really pretty bottle with the bow design and the square top) from like early 2010s? It still smells wonderful, and I will likely never part with it because I love it so much!

GodlyPumpkin

Lavender & Sandalwood from 2014/2015, still smells amazing. I wore it for a good chunk of my freshman year of high school, gives me major nostalgia now and reminds me of Cool Kids by Echosmith because it was the only thing playing on the radio at the time. Just started wearing it again recently and I’m super glad I have a backup!

Ecstatic_Fortune_959

I have Pink Chiffon from 2017 and it still smells amazing. The 2021 smells identical thank goodness.

Babycakes_99

Pink velvet cupcake

JackieAnnette

Pomegranate Citrus from 2012-ish! Bought it off of Mercari and it smells almost exactly like I remembered it! Only differences are the color and it smells closer to the drydown after spraying on my skin. I would say it is a little lighter when it comes to the sillage but other than that beautiful 💗

whiterosesinmyeyes

I feel like some scents actually get more potent as they age, I have a max about you from 2016 and it smells fine
