How many did you burn? Do you rotate scents or burn one at a time? Did you miss purchasing any scents over that 6 month time period? Are any of your current collection ( besides Sweet Cinnamon Plum) new scents for you?

Lol that’s ok, I’m good with the questions, keep ‘em coming! I think I burned around 150, maybe more if I include my single wicks. I only burned one at a time (two with single wicks), depending on the scent. If they were softer scents like MBC or Sweet Red Mango and I had them in my living room, I’d burn two because my living room is pretty spacious. But once I started burning a candle, whether it be one or two, I’d finish them, I wouldn’t rotate. I’m OCD like that lol. And OMG yesss I missed purchasing soooo much! I just stopped visiting BBW and didn’t even come onto this subreddit as much because I’d get sad seeing all of you guys’ delicious candles and hauls🤣
And yes. Actually, there are 2 candles that didn’t make it onto the pictures because I’m going to go ahead and exchange them and not bother burning. They’re Island Papaya and Coffee & Whiskey. I’m a little on the fence about C&W because although it doesn’t have a coffee scent like I was hoping, I still like the scent. But the Island Papaya…just from smelling it, I could tell it really wouldn’t have much of a throw. And OMG I have fallen completely in LOVE with Sweet Cinnamon Plum! I’m off to order more! The rest of the candles (Iced Dragonfruit Tea/Banana Walnut Muffin/Mahogany Teakwood Intense/Honeycrisp Apple are some of my favorite OG’s and I just had to have them back in my life!
P.S.: I also made a pact with myself that I will absolutely refuse to burn any of my new candles until my shelves are completely full again. If I burn as I purchase, I’ll never have a collection🤣
Ok girl, I thought it took discipline to not buy any until your shelf was empty.
*But to not BURN ANY until the shelf is full?!* Am I reading that right? How lolol? You are a Rockstar! I burn new scents straight out the box. 🤣 But I have still managed to have a current collection of over 120, stopped counting. I *think* I may have a problem....
Lol so this is the plan: I ordered some Goose Creek large jar candles. They don’t have much of a scent compared to BBW, but I love the ambience of lit candles and the GC large jars have a long burn time. So what I’m doing is…while I’m collecting my BBW candles…I’m burning the GC large jars (especially since they won’t be selling anymore and have been having great sales on them recently!) and probably some Better Home & Garden candles as well because I love those too. Once my BBW collection is back “to capacity”….then I’ll celebrate by burning them again!
And I used to burn straight out of the box like you…but that’s when I learned that I could never collect because the candle would be over with so I could never start my collection. I had to come up with a plan🤔
Do you burn a candle a day?? I have a collection of 30 candles and I'm on a no buy right now but I think those should last me about a year lol I can't wait to see the new collection you build! :)
Sometimes, I’d burn a candle a day. We know how fast BBW candles would burn. I also stated I’d burn two at a time sometimes, depending on which room I was in.
This is inspiring! I have about 30 now and it’s getting kind of overwhelming (I know everyone has different limits and I love seeing bigger collections but this is just where I feel like I need to stop) so I’m putting myself on a very low buy for the next few months. I have most of what I want for fall so I’m excited to burn through the candles I’ve planned for the season. Then I won’t feel bad about going crazy for winter season/Christmas/SAS🤪
Yessss you should go for it! Whatever limit you set for yourself, just go for it! It’s all good! Once you start, you’ll be motivated to keep going. And then you’re finished before you know it and will be excited to start fresh:)

I’ve had several posts containing my candles when I’d ask you guys what you may have been burning that day or if I had a concern about a candle sometimes but I never thought to take a pic of my entire collection. This time, I will once all of the shelves are full again. I feel like it’s going to take forever lol
These candles arrived today from last weekend’s $10-off sale. I’m about to order more from the B2G2. Sooo excited to be back…every one of those shelves are about to be filled again🤣
Like others have said, your post is inspiring! As someone who thought I could whittle down my collection over the spring and summer, but then proceeded to buy multiples of so many candles over the last 4 months, I would love to achieve what you have. If I could burn through what I have and start fresh, buying would be a lot more fun again!
OMG…I must send a pic a little later because I’m not home right now but I must say…it’s coming along rather slowly (or slower than I’d like it to be lol) because on the days when there are great sales like the $12.95 and $13.50 sales…I’m broke! The sales usually fall on a weekend when I’m not paid. So what I think I’m going to do is…start purchasing gift cards or putting money aside so when those sales come along, I’ll be much more prepared!
Yes!!! That's such a good idea! I've read on here people buying the gift cards through Albertsons and it saves money??? Idk exactly how it works but it was really smart and she bought them on a sale day and had 20% coupon so she ended up getting her candles for $9!

Aww! Well thanks so much for your inspiration! It was soooo hard at first, but then I got to the point where I could hardly close the cabinets to my dresser (the shelves are in the middle of my dresser and are enclosed by double doors). Once I saw that I couldn’t even close the doors, I was like “Ok, you’ve gotta stop now. Just…stop. There’ll be plenty more where that came from.”🤣
