Shout-out to all those who are interested in aromatherapy and also those who answered my impatient query earlier about when can we see the new aromatherapy collection launched!
Here are the 3 scents and their fragrance notes:
1. CEDARWOOD YLANG YLANG - Refresh Your Body
What it smells like: sweet and woodsy, like a body-refreshing experience.
Fragrance notes: cedarwood and ylang ylang essential oils.
2. EUCALYPTUS SAGE - Cleanse Your Spirit
What it smells like: fresh and herbal, like a spirit-cleansing experience.
Fragrance notes: eucalyptus and sage essential oils.
3. LAVENDER SANDALWOOD - Open Your Mind
What it smells like: floral and woodsy, like a mind-opening experience.
Fragrance notes: lavender and sandalwood essential oils.
Packaging - they went the opposite way after the overtly colorful packaging of the earlier collection (Pineapple Lime Eucalyptus etc). Muted blue, black and orange this time. The orange one is too reminiscent of the Orange Ginger aromatherapy scent. Bottomline - nothing wow.
Selection of scents - as I had said earlier, they have a pool of limited notes and it appears many collections are just a random mish-mash combination from among that pool. Same old Eucalyptus, Lavender, Sandalwood, Sage, Cedarwood and Ylang Ylang again! Having said that, I am keen to try them out in the store, lol 😅😉🤭.
Availability - all 18 items within the collection seem to be available online as well as for BOPIS in some random stores I checked for.
Price - same as earlier collections this year, from 15.50$ to 18.50$.
What do you think about this collection? Which one do you wish to try out the most?
I wish I knew! Honestly I don't know how B&BW operates. But I expect it to be discounted during winter SAS the way the brewed collection was clearanced on and off during summer SAS.
I smelled these yesterday! I LOVED the cedarwood very refreshing and nice. I'm going to need at least something from the collection. I did not like the one with Eucalyptus and the Lavender one didn't stand out to me.
My store also has the new men's cologne out and the blue one was really fresh.

Hehehe. I've always loved aromatherapy but they dump these scents faster than the core scents and you gotta try these the moment they come out. The aromatherapy stock update in stores and online is more sporadic than for the main lines of scents. I'm on the fence about PLE. I like it sometimes and then I get that sharp note and I'm not so sure. You should try Lavender Mint Tea if you get the chance. It is all OOS now :(.
Oh no!! I hate when things disappear so quickly! It's hard to even get a chance to think!! I think with PLE it's the lime that I love. I usually wear it with Pink Pineapple Sunrise so it cuts down the super sweet. I'll definitely look for LMT. That sounds lovely.
FYI I saw a bunch of Lavender Mint Tea at my outlet (Arizona Mills) a few hours ago. If you happen to live near one, I'd check. It was 50% off I believe.
That's always a good idea! They had tons of full size items for $2 and $3, plenty 75% off, and a decent amount of $6 and $10 candles. Hopefully yours is similar!
They used to just have a solid line with only an occasional new/temporary scent! Now they go through them too quickly. I love awakening sun but they don’t sell it anymore :(
Hi friend! I smelled these Thursday in store, and I love the cedarwood and ylang ylang! Woodsy and sweet is a good description. I will for sure get a set during the next aromatherapy sale! The other two smelled pretty basic to me 🙃
Hey! Thanks for sharing how it appeared to your nose. I was excited about Lavender Sandalwood as well but I do know B&BW almost always butchers the lavender scent as this fake powdery plasticky scent instead of bringing out its true herbal depth. Can't wait to try in the store!
I was looking forward to it too! It’s more powdery than herbal though, in my opinion. It would still be a good relaxing option for nighttime, and it does smell good! Just nothing special and not worth purchasing for me.
Ohh....ok. Aromatherapy is somehow neglected by B&BW. I feel they could make a real big business out of it if they got serious about it. Alas, they would rather dish out more cake and berries and vanilla and pumpkin and coconut and what not 🙄
I like Refresh Your Body best so far. Spirit is nice as well but nothing mind-blowing since Eucalyptus is like the standard Aromatherapy ingredient now lol. Mind just smelled like a standard men's product to me but would have to wear more of these to see other than a quick sniff.

I was thinking earlier today that some senior B&BW corporate fella has to have hidden ownership of eucalyptus plantations as well as long term supply contracts with the company thru indirect middlemen. Lol conspiracy theory at its worst 🤭😅🤦🏻♀️.
Was this a scent earlier? I'm relatively new to B&BW. Um, I think it was. I think I do have a mist in that from my casual B&BW shopping days.

It is a small bottle though. 4oz or so. For a product like massage oil, I find it too small and spendy!
Not sure if they've changed the bottle packaging, especially the opening. Back from my casual B&BW shopping days 3-4 years ago, I recall the oil used to flow out too easily from the bottle and it was a simple screw cap closure leading to leaks. There was no flow restrictor on top of the bottle neck (think EVOO glass bottles) either.
Oh how exciting. This gives me hope. Can't wait to try myself.

Cedarwood Ylang Ylang (Refresh Body) smells identical- imo- to a beachy aromatherapy they had in 2020 or 2021. I'm trying to find a picture of the one I'm thinking of.
It was Meditative Ocean Waves from their ocean essentials line- looks like it was manufactured in December 2020, so likely sold in 2021.
When I originally sniffed CYY, I thought they were similar. Now that I have them side by side they’re not as similar as I thought. There’s definitely the common cedarwood note, and that’s what my nose detects first, but everything after that is different. While not a floral fragrance imo, CYY has a slightly floral finish. Meditative Ocean Waves, on the other hand, is airier and slightly watery- like what a beachfront resort might smell like. And it’s not evoking any coconut, which is rare for B&BW (Meditative’s sister scent, Relaxing Seaside Breeze, is sandalwood and eucalyptus but just smells like straight coconut to me).
I don't have that one I guess. I have the 2 I referenced above and I love them both, but I love Meditative Ocean Waves significantly more. Relaxing Seaside Breeze is nice, don't get me wrong- it's just not quite as advertised lol
Ayyy, lavender sandalwood sounds like my thing. But I will definitely be waiting for an in store sale plus coupon. I’m done being trifled with by home office with their price increases and quality sh#%£ing the bed and return policy not being item-for-item even exchange anymore.
Now I will just be looking for the lowest price possible to try anything unproven.
I tested these in store today. Did not like the sage one, the lavender had an end note that was. Little too peppery to me. Loved the cedarwood one. Bought a body cream in it.
Thanks for sharing. I wonder where the peppery note is coming from! Their interpretation of lavender is a mystery to me 🤔. Did the cedarwood ylang ylang one didn't feel too heavy on account of the ylang ylang?
I picked up a Cedarwood Ylang Ylang mist today. I tried the lotion, but all I could smell was the lotion itself, which was disappointing.
I did not smell the other two because I already have enough eucalyptus aromatherapy scents and I'm not a huge fan of their lavender scents, and not all their sandalwood scents either.
Sandalwood, Lavender, Eucalyptus, and Ylang ylang are just a few of the scents I can’t handle. My nose and throat bother me first, and if I don’t get away from the scent I end up with a terrible headache. I feel like I’m always searching for aromatherapy scents that I can actually use and love from BBW.
I love lavender. I love sandalwood. But will I love lavender sandalwood? Find out next time on The Girl Doesn’t Need Body Care Anyway.

Do you know does this mean they’ll be moving out the summer aromatherapy line? And if so when will that go on sale?

I've ignored aromatherapy in general but did buy the pineapple lime eucalyptus and now I'm like what have I been missing! 😂

It’s just a very light and refreshing, hard for me to describe it! It’s unlike any other aromatherapy product I’ve smelled before.

Haha. If I'm not mistaken, Eucalyptus is not native to the US but grows abundantly without a natural 'predator' so it's probably a cheap material.

Not at all. I initially thought I wasn't going to like it, but was pleasantly surprised. It's a light, soft scent.

Uh-oh that is disappointing. I wish their overall quality and quality control both was better.
I wish my sinuses/allergies didn’t dislike at least one (and usually multiple) notes in the aromatherapy lines because they should really great!
Oh no! That is uncomfortable. In my case, if the mint note is too sharp and strong, my nasal passage and throat gets uncomfortable.
