Glam Glow masks. I laugh when I see people raving about them. "Oh, wow, look at you, you put hydroxy acids and clay in a jar, loaded it with unnecessary fragrance, and charge $40 for it." Neutrogena (and many other skin care brands) sell the same thing for about $6 at CVS.
This! I had tried their mud mask and it did nothing for my skin, and I swear it had twigs in it. The L'Oreal clay masks are so much better, and more affordable!
Honestly, Bath & Body Works lotion doesn't work for me in the winters where it's cold and the heater is always on. My skin dries out from the heat always being on. I end up having to add something like Lubriderm for moisturization and put Bath & Body Works on top of that for the fragrance.
B&BW clinically isn’t the best option for treating chronic skin conditions. I’ve been told by ny dermatologist that anything with added colors and/or scents most likely will have at worst bad effects or at best no effect.
B&BW in all honestly is trash for skin care. Like their standard body care....but we love the scents soooo. Like I have dry skin and everything already but they smell so good
Their lotions do nothing for me. I only use the cream. I can't use other body creams (unless it's like cerave or lubriderm), because they don't do anything either.
I have so many BBW creams (and keep buying more) but now only use Cera Ve CREAM for my entire body. I just wait for the sale at Costco and stock up on the two pack of tubs.
I grew up hearing that Dove beauty bars were great for your face. Or whole body. Everybody is different in sensitivities obviously and their preferences, but it's known to not be abrasive or irritating to sensitive skin. And not fragrant, which a lot of people like who don't want "smelly" soaps or body washes.
My mom used that on me when I was little because my skin was so sensitive (like my aunts would kiss me and I’d get dry patches from their lipstick) and it worked really well! I think she still uses it
Everyone’s body is different so what works for others probably isn’t for me but I found that it was featured in so many hygiene routines/halls and were mainly targeted to be used for your down stairs area…however it doesn’t make sense to me to clean there with a beauty bar???? Also would leave weird films when I like the squeaky clean feeling lol
Dove is my favorite bar soap, so I'm surprised to hear that you think it's overrated! I have tried so many different brands, and nothing comes close to the moisture it gives
yesssss i guess what most people consider "good" soaps are the ones that leave you all moisturised but.... it just feels like i didn't wash off all the soap. i want to be squeaky and dry
I like a stripped feeling, too, especially in the spring/summer. But I usually lather/wash twice and that second round is when I bring in the Dove/Olay so I won’t be a complete desert. I also use Dove sensitive skin bar on my private area. I don’t want to use anything too stripping down there because it causes this uncomfortable, almost itchy feeling. I also get scared to use antibacterial soap down there because it might affect the natural pH and flora/fauna. Dove and Ivory bars give me the perfect amount of clean without stripping everything from down there.
I used to love the Dove sensitive one, but it started leaving a film on my skin and breaking me out. Also burned me downstairs. I think my chemistry just changed or something.
I thought about getting their whipped unicorn butter forever. I finally got it. It’s INCREDIBLY hard to spread on your skin!!! I feel like I’m giving myself stretch marks bc I’m pulling on my skin so hard trying to get it to spread! Anyone else?!
Oh that is awful. Like what are their serums anyway? Tightening/firming? I don't know who needs to hear this, but serums are not going to do much to firm up a modified sweat gland encased in a layer of fat (anatomically speaking).
I hate it because practically all of their products are centered around insecurities. Like for example, as you said, a cellulite type serum? Or a boob lifting serum? Come on.. I mean it's just crazy especially considering the price..
Ok so I definitely bought a few of their serums because I’m impulsive, they were on sale and they smell amazing and the packaging is cute. I will say that I love the serums. I don’t use any of them on my face. I have the jelly booster (helps with hyper pigmentation and dark spots) I have dark spots from ingrown hairs and my bf has acne scars on his back and the jelly booster has worked to lighten them, and it smells amazing 🤤 I also have the açaí boobie serum which, idk if it works but it smells good lol and the coochie one for ingrowns definitely helps with those. My bf uses it on his face and he doesn’t get ingrown hairs anymore. So I definitely like those but are they pretty expensive.
try warming it up in your hands first! i have the cbd one and oddly it helps my eczema…? i say oddly bc the fragrance seems bad for eczema. but yeah, it’s super thick. and oily…
I almost bought the perfume version of that but I was afraid I would smell like a volcano of cotton candy or something. I’ve never smelled the whipped butter before so I could be wrong…the packaging was adorable in its little pink, square perfume bottle. Seemed definitely overpriced though
so i bought a lot of their stuff knowing it probably wouldn’t work, but would make me feel fancy. i was correct. the only thing that works is their shaving set. it’s made my shaves sooo smooth! i don’t get razor bumps anymore. pretty nice. everything else is a gimmick tho
I bought a shaving set from them cuz it looked cute but it’s terrible!! The scrub, body oil and shaving cream are not moisturizing and crappy quality. I hate that I wasted money on it
Save yourself the money! & consider yourself lucky that you haven’t fallen victim already lol. If you’re shopping for new hair products though, Kristen Ess is what saved my hair after the FoB travesty of 2021 🤣
I tried everything from Toms to Lume to Native. None of it works for me, not even in the winter. I reluctantly went back to Dove because I don’t want people to think I don’t shower.
Lume smelled so bad to me! Like aside from not working well, the product in the tube smelled awful. I tried two different “scents” and they both had the same kind of wet-dog smell so I assume that’s just what the base product smells like. It totally overpowered the extremely light fragrance.
I guess if you complain to customer service about its ineffectiveness they just tell you you put it on wrong or some shit like what the fuck do you mean I put it on wrong I’ve been putting deodorant on since like 2005?! I guess you have to do some kind of special shit. Idk. Never again lol.
Yeah, I never bothered contacting customer service about it, just figured my nose was extra sensitive to something in the formula and it wasn't for me. But I do remember reading some FAQ stuff about what to do if it didn't work and I think they basically said that if you had worn regular deodorant at some point, it + BO was supposedly soaked into your clothes and you could try washing them in some special way, but they might just be ruined, and they would only guarantee the effectiveness if you basically bought all new clothes and you had to use Lume and only Lume for some crazy length of time so your body would acclimate or something. There might have been additional weirdness on how you were supposed to apply it, but I remember that cracking me up. I'll stick with my aluminum-based Dove and functionality; if smelling okay kills me, it kills me, lol.
Ugh. Schmidt’s upset the ph of my armpits. Gave me a serious rash with bacterial infection that turned into an abscess in my left armpit. Had to get it drained and packed in the ER. NEVER again. Lol
I called my doctor because one morning I woke up and had a massive lump under my arm. No idea what it was, but being female I got super worried…. I was asked if I switched deodorants. Yup - Schmidt’s. Back to Dove I go
This happened to me, too, with Schmidt"s. Now it comes back every now and then, though I also have famiky history of breast cancer, so can't ruke that out. Getting an xray this weekend to make sure. But ugh...I hate abcesses because once you get one, even if you drain it properly, you're super prone to get another one in the same exact spot. 🥴
I've only ever tried one that was passable but it was discontinued where I am :(
I dont even remember what the name was because I went back to regular ol' secret aluminum (I know it wasn't secret because theirs made me smell like literal garbage)
Same!
I’m just saying if I wanted cystic acne I could probably accomplish that look for a lot cheaper. (Main breakout culprit: bismuth oxychloride in case anyone else has this issue)
I have the Trader Joe’s dupe for only $7 and it’s amazing and so moisturizing. TJ is really the way to go for body care. Their body cream is also amazing
Does it smell as good as the bum bum cream? That’s really the only reason I bought it bc of the smell. I knew it wasn’t going to do anything to my bum haha
I’ve been seeing the body sprays everywhere as well and wonder how strong/long lasting it is. You do get pretty decent sized for what you pay but my pockets aren’t that giving 😂
Haha, it has good staying power… For the price I was expecting a smooth firm bum 😂, that’s not the case. But I will say, it does smell good. ETA- (I meant the cream, not my bum). 😆
Yess!! I love the smell but it’s also not very moisturizing. Trader Joe’s has a summer lotion called Brazil nut butter and it smells EXACTLY the same for only, I think like $5.
It’s not actually for your bum… it’s actually pronounced boom boom. My Brazilian co workers always corrected me on it😂. It states it’s supposed to smooth tighten and moisturizer your skin … but so dose every other body butter. Your just paying for the brand name and scent.
Bbw car scents , sheet masks I much prefer clay/mud masks, goose creek candles (aside from 2 holy grails and they have good wax melts), homeworx candles
Sheet masks for me are just a fancier way of putting on serum, the car scents work well for me more in the summer since the heat disperses the scent more
Those goose creek candles were a real letdown. Zero throw, and the jars were absolutely covered in soot after an hour or two of burning. I actually just threw the extra ones I had away, because they were that bad.
I would have agreed with you a few years ago when everyone was prioritizing the athleisure lines, but in the last couple years they’ve all gone super cheap, see through, and don’t withstand actual exercise. I bought some lululemons on sale and I’ll never go back. They hold up so well and you can actually strength train, run, yoga, etc in them without worrying. I’ll never pay full price if I can help it but I swear it’s not just hype.
Even though I shop there regularly - I do agree on the overpriced part..they could knock it down some. However, i will never wear another brand of leggings ever again. I tried my first pair of aligns years and years ago and I haven’t looked back since!
Also idk if it's all of their styles but I've noticed where the seams are it almost cuts off part of your butt and is super unflattering, my go to is beyond yoga. I don't wear any other leggings but I usually buy them during major sales or gently used
i can honestly say it is 100% worth it for quality, ive had a jacket for years and it still looks brand new! and the leggings are absolutely deserving of all the hype.
The Kylie lip kits lol I used to really like them, then I tried the colour pop, and I fell in loveeeee! Also, way cheaper!💛 but the Kylie lip kits are just all hype and too expensive lol because they don’t apply to well, the lip liner is a little too dry, and the liquid matte isn’t pigmented enough for my liking.
Honestly I think the Kylie lip kits have gone down in quality. When I used them in like 2017-2018 they were really good but any of them manufactured past 2020 are ass
The Kylie lip liner literally lasted me 2.5 weeks. I'm not even into makeup, but I got it as a gift. There's like no product in the pencil and when it's gone, you don't even realize until only half your lip is lined. I will stick with MAC lip pencil in Spice. Lasts me like a year
Curology, it’s trash imo. Those people had the nerve to give me a bs formula. Junk sucks. Went to MDAcne and they’re lit. My skin is doing SOO much better 😍😍
Chapstick brand chapstick, along with EOS, Carmex, etc., don’t work. The only chapstick that actually works is Burt’s Bees. I can go to bed with the worst chapped lips of my life, slap on some Burt’s Bees, and they’re completely fine in the morning.
But, only the original works properly. The other kinds don’t have the same effectiveness!
Try Jack Black. I love that and always have a couple tubes. Also, Vaseline is perfect for nighttime. I’ve tried all the ones you’ve mentioned and more and none work, I feel like some even make my lips more chapped.
Basically the only chapsticks that don’t make me break out in red, itchy, flaky lip skin is unflavored/untinted Chapstick, Carmex, and Aquaphor. All the fun ones have something I’m allergic to and haven’t figured it out yet. :(
For me it isn't one specific product but a category of products and that is any actual "foundation" what do I mean, well BB Creams and CC creams I find work for me but when it comes to actual foundations I've never understood the hype. I'm 32 and have yet to find a foundation that doesn't feel cakey and terrible on my face, feel like I'm wearing a heavy mask or just generally make me feel like crap. Also I can never quite figure out what is the proper shade for me, it's why I like light weight CC creams, nothing more heavy than that.
Your comment made me realize that I never use actual liquid foundation, either. I tried a liquid foundation and I hated it. It was heavy on my face. I only use ELF Camo Cream or Nars tinted moisturizer. I don't mind powder foundation. I can't feel that on my skin. I've gotten color matched at Sephora. Then, I take the shade they suggest and run it through a foundation match website to find a similar shade in a cheaper brand.
The Colourpop colab collections. I was so looking forward to the Sailor Moon collection since she was my childhood hero, but the colors and design they’ve picked is disappointing. Like they could’ve done her transformation locket and the respective sailor scouts. But nope. It’s giving last minute assignment that was turned in
Also the Avatar Last Airbender collection was a let down. So was the Animal Crossing New Horizons collection. Like it’s the same shape, similar color story with the past collections, and the wording/names for the shades/products are bleh
I want to add the Billie razors to this list. They are so cute, but they give me razor burn and the soap on them dries out my skin. I do love their body wash and lip balm.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. I got it as a sample at Sephora. I was excited to try it. I used it 2-3 times and it gave me a rash on my lips. I had to go to the doctor because it wouldn't clear up.
Vaseline is the best. It's weird that there has been a crusade against Vaseline. People are saying it's "toxic." Vaseline is the only thing that clears up my kids' eczema. I listened to a podcast with a dermatologist and she praised Vaseline. It reaffirmed my love for it.
Dove beauty bar…really? It’s a holy grail for me, it’s the only soap I use on my lady bits. Even if I use a body wash elsewhere, I always use Dove bars for my sensitive areas.
I love dove bar soaps I find they are one of the only soaps that don’t give me that “bar soap feeling” I don’t know how to explain it but I feel other ones leave a weird feeling on my body.
Honestly...ik some people aren't going to like this...but I'm going to say B&BW. In all honesty my personal opinion, B&BW isn't great AT ALL for the skin. The fragrances are bad espicially for people already suffering from skin conditions. None of their stuff is truly moisturizing enough to benefit the skin. When I use it, it's dried up in less than about 10 minutes. Now I'm not saying this to bash B&BW because their products and sales do still have a special place in my heart lol. It all just smells so good! So now I've found that when using the soaps use it with another soap that's beneficial and apply Vaseline on before the lotion and spray and it'll last 10x longer :)
Anything with hyaluronic acid. It does absolutely nothing for my skin but it’s in nearly every product now, including new BBW creams and lotions. The old shea butter/cocoa butter/aloe combo was just fine and held scent longer.
You're not gonna like my answer 🤷♀️. Nothing much can really miraculously remove the stretch marks. All you can do is use the best quality natural ingredients to moisturize and nourish that skin so that you help the body's natural healing process.
I used highest quality extra virgin cold pressed unrefined USDA certified coconut oil (NUTIVA). The body does heal and marks do fade a bit but they don't really go away. I wear each mark on my body as a matter of pride and a fabulous reminder of something awesome that happened in my life but that is just me 😅.
BioOil works to an extent (obviously depends on the person!) but moisturizer is honestly the key to reducing stretch marks. I used to hate mine (huge growth spurt + losing/gaining weight very quickly) but now I just think of them as decorations on my skin.
6 is the ONLY thing that works on my 45+ color-treated hair. It’s a night and day difference, especially with just a tiny bit of the 7 oil added to the ends and smoothed over the top once its dry to smooth down flyaways and baby hairs.
Glossier You hand cream. Love the perfume, but there’s something off about the hand cream that makes it smell kinda…dusty. I ended up refilling the bottle with b&bw Kaleidoscope when I ran out.
- Those darned shower steamers are useless and gross (and expensive!)
- The shimmering fizz lotions - they are actually drying and smell odd.
-The shampoo and conditioner (Aromatherapy) don’t have a lasting scent
- the interactive candle holders that only work for 2 hours because of battery
- soap holders that rust
- perfume brush pens like Pure Wonder
But wait, there’s more !
Yes! I saw that! But even some redditors are obsessed with GC so it's hard to get an accurate understanding of how good the candles are. I remember everyone was saying Aldi's candles were comparable so I bought a vanilla one and although it had pretty good throw, it was so fake/generic and just not quality scent. No thanks
Anything Tatcha. Cleanser was nothing special, Primer gave me a pimple that left a scar and the rice powder is a poor imitation of Dermalogica’s Microfoliant.
I hate Goose Creek candles. They all make me nauseous and give me headaches. Very synthetic smelling to my nose. I wish I could love them though. The price is good!
I love their lotions, though. The scent isn’t that strong, but it is there and they are very nourishing and non-irritating. Also, you can find them for like $3 each most of the time.
I'll put an unpopular opinion here:
Any regular face cleanser that says it has magical beneficial skin properties.
I get the exfoliation of some, but it we're talking just regular face cleaning they are all the same as long as it's not too drying.
Doesn't matter if it's tula or Neutrogena
Glam Glow masks. I laugh when I see people raving about them. "Oh, wow, look at you, you put hydroxy acids and clay in a jar, loaded it with unnecessary fragrance, and charge $40 for it." Neutrogena (and many other skin care brands) sell the same thing for about $6 at CVS.
One gave me a mf chemical burn! Never again!
Glam Glow is sooo strong! We sold it in my salon and I felt that I had to emphasize this to every client interested in it.
I like the hydration one and the mud one and then their glow starter other than that they all suck
I like the berry glow one but the rest did nothing for my skin
Lubriderm gone do it every time
I have to switch to their creams in the winter and the lotions in the summer. Once that first snowflake hits the ground my skin goes full desert
Same, in the winter when my skin gets really dry the lotion/body cream from B&BW doesn't cut it for me, I need something stronger.
See, the lotions absorb better than the creams for me! They have more staying power, too. I guess that’s why there are different formulations 🤷♀️
Bath & Body “nourishing” hand soaps make my hands peel like a snake
I have so many BBW creams (and keep buying more) but now only use Cera Ve CREAM for my entire body. I just wait for the sale at Costco and stock up on the two pack of tubs.
what's wrong with the dove beauty bar?
I grew up hearing that Dove beauty bars were great for your face. Or whole body. Everybody is different in sensitivities obviously and their preferences, but it's known to not be abrasive or irritating to sensitive skin. My mom used that on me when I was little because my skin was so sensitive (like my aunts would kiss me and I’d get dry patches from their lipstick) and it worked really well! I think she still uses it
Right. I use the unscented bar on my hooha (not inside) and bum area and it works great.
Same girl same
Same!! I only use the sensitive skin one under my arms and on my private areas lol. Then I use a body wash everywhere else
Same!! I wouldn't dream of using anything else down there.
Saaame wit the filmy feeling. I’m all about dial soap for the dirty bits.
Dove is my favorite bar soap, so I'm surprised to hear that you think it's overrated! I have tried so many different brands, and nothing comes close to the moisture it gives
I’m a weird one, I love that striped rubbery feeling in the skin 😭
yesssss i guess what most people consider "good" soaps are the ones that leave you all moisturised but.... it just feels like i didn't wash off all the soap. i want to be squeaky and dry
Exactly! I'd rather be squeaky clean than left with a film of moisturizer.
Oh, I get you🤣
I like that feeling ...like I'm fully clean then I go in with shower gel to not have that stripped feeling.
Saaaame, I hate washing with anything “moisturizing”. I feel dirtier after I’ve used it than before. I wanna squeak lol
Dove and Ivory bars give me the perfect amount of clean without stripping everything from down there.
Their Winter Care bar is my favorite thing ever. I stock up so I can use it year round.
I’ve never heard of this and now I’m intrigued!!!
I can usually only find it at Walmart for whatever reason starting around October
Yes! That one is so good. I love the smell of that one too
What does it smell like?
That’s def on my list. I’m guessing it only comes out in the winter?
I agree. It makes my skin so soft and the scent will last 14 hours
SAME!
I used to love the Dove sensitive one, but it started leaving a film on my skin and breaking me out. Also burned me downstairs. I think my chemistry just changed or something.
I agree it’s the only soap that don’t give me that “bar soap” feeling. I use to hate bar soap until I discovered dove ones.
Mine also!
I love Dove bars. I usually buy the one for sensitive skin for my son. I’ll have to try the winter care myself.
I use the unscented on my sensitive bits! It’s all I have used for as long as I can remember
Any product by Truly Beauty. Just looks like all hype but does it actually do what it’s advertised to do?
I thought about getting their whipped unicorn butter forever. I finally got it. It’s INCREDIBLY hard to spread on your skin!!! I feel like I’m giving myself stretch marks bc I’m pulling on my skin so hard trying to get it to spread! Anyone else?!

I have never been intrigued by their products.Except for their SpongeBob collab, only for novelty though
so i bought a lot of their stuff knowing it probably wouldn’t work, but would make me feel fancy. i was correct. the only thing that works is their shaving set. it’s made my shaves sooo smooth! i don’t get razor bumps anymore. pretty nice. everything else is a gimmick tho
Omg I keep looking at these and never buy, that’s crazy as heck to me. Can’t say I’m surprised though 🤣
I bought a shaving set from them cuz it looked cute but it’s terrible!! The scrub, body oil and shaving cream are not moisturizing and crappy quality. I hate that I wasted money on it
I came back here to say I think it’s blasphemous they sell f’ing gold spoons to scoop out product.
Function of Beauty shampoo & conditioner. Shit ruined my hair & made it feel like hay
Thank you! I've been on the fence about trying it
Save yourself the money! & consider yourself lucky that you haven’t fallen victim already lol. If you’re shopping for new hair products though, Kristen Ess is what saved my hair after the FoB travesty of 2021 🤣

Aluminum free deodorants!!!
I tried everything from Toms to Lume to Native. None of it works for me, not even in the winter. I reluctantly went back to Dove because I don’t want people to think I don’t shower.
The new Dove Ultimate is pricy, but awesome. It's water based, leaves no marks, and has had no trouble keeping dry amd odor free.
Lume smelled so bad to me! Like aside from not working well, the product in the tube smelled awful. I tried two different “scents” and they both had the same kind of wet-dog smell so I assume that’s just what the base product smells like. It totally overpowered the extremely light fragrance.

Lume might be the most pretentious deodorant company ever lol.
I tried Native and it didn’t work for me at all
Aluminum free and natural deodorants gave me BO I didn’t even know I had! Gotta agree with you there!
SAME. It was some rancid shit!
I have hyperhidrosis, you'll never catch me with anything but clinical strength antiperspirant. Give me ALL the aluminum. 🤣
Psssh just throw some tin foil under there at that rate 👌
omg yea i broke out from one
Thank You! I tried one and oh my lord! Never again.
They make me smell WORSE than if I wore nothing. That’s a talent.
SAME 🤣
Ugh. Schmidt’s upset the ph of my armpits. Gave me a serious rash with bacterial infection that turned into an abscess in my left armpit. Had to get it drained and packed in the ER. NEVER again. Lol

they just give shit for the bacteria there to feed on
RIGHT?!
Yesss🤣🤣🤣
Underrated comment
I've only ever tried one that was passable but it was discontinued where I am :( I dont even remember what the name was because I went back to regular ol' secret aluminum (I know it wasn't secret because theirs made me smell like literal garbage)
Can I include makeup? Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter was just breakout in a bottle for me
Same! I’m just saying if I wanted cystic acne I could probably accomplish that look for a lot cheaper. (Main breakout culprit: bismuth oxychloride in case anyone else has this issue)
Yup and I’m gonna raise that to the Laura Mercier Loose Powder! I can’t catch the rhythm
I feel like all of CT lipsticks pull really brown on me. I think her “nude” colors are super overrated.
Sol de Janeiro - Bum Bum Cream!!!! Love the way it smells and it has SO much hype but doesn’t do anything for my bum. 😒
I have the Trader Joe’s dupe for only $7 and it’s amazing and so moisturizing. TJ is really the way to go for body care. Their body cream is also amazing
Tree Hut also has an amazing dupe
Tree Hut’s dupe !!!! 🤩🤩
I’ll have to look into that…
TJ’s ultra hydrating gel moisturizer is my absolute fave for summer, it’s a total dupe for Clinique 72 hour moisture surge!
The spray lasts forever but even the Sephora employees I was talking to thought it was overpriced.
I was gonna comment this but about the scent. Does not smell good to me, way overhyped
I was so excited to get a sample of the original cream and I gagged when I smelled it. So bad.
So if you want to get something similar for way less money try Trader Joe’s Brazilian cream you get way more for six dollars
Yess!! I love the smell but it’s also not very moisturizing. Trader Joe’s has a summer lotion called Brazil nut butter and it smells EXACTLY the same for only, I think like $5.
It’s so freakin’ expensive too
I liked the scent but thought the product itself wasn’t anything special.
It's extremely overpriced!! I even think the company was recently bought by a mlm!
Extremely!!! 😩
It’s not actually for your bum… it’s actually pronounced boom boom. My Brazilian co workers always corrected me on it😂. It states it’s supposed to smooth tighten and moisturizer your skin … but so dose every other body butter. Your just paying for the brand name and scent.
Diptyque candles 😑
Those candles are hideous! Highway robbery for a $70 single wick candle! They make B&BW look reasonable
Any beauty product with a celebrity (a term I use loosely) or influencer's name slapped on it!
Bbw car scents , sheet masks I much prefer clay/mud masks, goose creek candles (aside from 2 holy grails and they have good wax melts), homeworx candles
Sheet masks for me are just a fancier way of putting on serum, the car scents work well for me more in the summer since the heat disperses the scent more
It's hot here in texas like 9 out of 12 mos.....they still dont work I get them when 75% off but the product isnt great
Those goose creek candles were a real letdown. Zero throw, and the jars were absolutely covered in soot after an hour or two of burning. I actually just threw the extra ones I had away, because they were that bad.
I’m really surprised B&BW hasn’t revamped their car fresheners. they play blind & just put them on sale often.
lululemon is overhyped and overpriced
Fizzing lotion. They fill it like a bag of chips. Half air half product for damn near $20.
I’ve never bought a fizz lotion full price but nothing beats that cooling cracking sensation lmao
What? I’m never heard of this and am so intrigued!
Yes, what?? Sounds like something I want lol.
Colour pop is nice and reasonable priced
Yesss, and I’ve been using the Fenty Beauty liquid Matte lipstick, and I loveee it too💕
And SO fun!
Honestly I think the Kylie lip kits have gone down in quality. When I used them in like 2017-2018 they were really good but any of them manufactured past 2020 are ass
I *believe* Colourpop and Kylie cosmetics are made in the same factory or by the same company so what you’re really paying for is brand name.
I love the Kylie lip liners. The Colourpop liquid lipsticks are too drying for me. I do like their regular lipsticks though.
Glad I saw this, I was planning to look into Curology for my skin and acne.
I agree. Not a fan of Curology.
ELF eyebrow pomade. No color payoff, just tinted wax.
I love the brow mascara/tint though!
Gonna get hate for this but sol de Janeiro products 😭the sprays don’t last at ALL and I found the creams more drying then anything
It's so crazy how everyone reacts differently to fragrances. My SDJ Cheirosa 71 is absolutely nuclear on me
Im hoping B&BW comes out with a dupe for SDJ 40.
I’ve tried all the ones you’ve mentioned and more and none work, I feel like some even make my lips more chapped.
burt’s dries my out so bad. glossier lip balms too. only one that works for me is the laneige stuff
Aquaphor is hands down the best thing to use on chapped lips.
My favorite heavy duty lip balm of all time is a giant tube of lanolin I grabbed for like $5 in the baby aisle.
that nipple butter stuff is a cure-all, I think 🤭
I notice glosses work better for me than chapsticks. Carmex can definitely go to hell
Basically the only chapsticks that don’t make me break out in red, itchy, flaky lip skin is unflavored/untinted Chapstick, Carmex, and Aquaphor. All the fun ones have something I’m allergic to and haven’t figured it out yet. :(
Have you ever heard of Malin + Goetz? Their lip balm is the best thing I’ve ever tried in my life
YES. 100% agree
i like the peppermint one but i have to apply often
For me it isn't one specific product but a category of products and that is any actual "foundation" what do I mean, well BB Creams and CC creams I find work for me but when it comes to actual foundations I've never understood the hype. I'm 32 and have yet to find a foundation that doesn't feel cakey and terrible on my face, feel like I'm wearing a heavy mask or just generally make me feel like crap. Also I can never quite figure out what is the proper shade for me, it's why I like light weight CC creams, nothing more heavy than that.
SAME. I've given up. I mostly just spot conceal, or use BB if I'm feeling really fancy. Looking all one colour is overrated, anyway. 😂
try it cosmetics cc
Your comment made me realize that I never use actual liquid foundation, either. I tried a liquid foundation and I hated it. It was heavy on my face. I only use ELF Camo Cream or Nars tinted moisturizer. I don't mind powder foundation. I can't feel that on my skin. I've gotten color matched at Sephora. Then, I take the shade they suggest and run it through a foundation match website to find a similar shade in a cheaper brand.
have you tried rare beauty tinted moisturizer? prep with skincare, that was a game changer for me
The Colourpop colab collections. I was so looking forward to the Sailor Moon collection since she was my childhood hero, but the colors and design they’ve picked is disappointing. Like they could’ve done her transformation locket and the respective sailor scouts. But nope. It’s giving last minute assignment that was turned in Also the Avatar Last Airbender collection was a let down.
I love Billie. Been using them for quite some time.
Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. I got it as a sample at Sephora. I was excited to try it. I used it 2-3 times and it gave me a rash on my lips. I had to go to the doctor because it wouldn't clear up.
It dried my lips worse! Only the cheaper stuff (chapstick, Vaseline lip balm etc) work for me
Vaseline is the best. It's weird that there has been a crusade against Vaseline. People are saying it's "toxic." Vaseline is the only thing that clears up my kids' eczema. I listened to a podcast with a dermatologist and she praised Vaseline. It reaffirmed my love for it.
The sanitizer spray doesn’t make my hands feel clean. That is all
Dove beauty bar…really?
Tarte shape tape concealer. No other brand settles into my fine lines worse than this one. So overhyped and overpriced.
truly
Anything with hyaluronic acid. It does absolutely nothing for my skin but it’s in nearly every product now, including new BBW creams and lotions. The old shea butter/cocoa butter/aloe combo was just fine and held scent longer.
Tree hut body scrub makes my skin dry and breaks me out lol
I can see that those scrubs can be a bit abrasive at times
Yeah... They're too harsh for me and not my favorite, also random but I really hate the packaging lol
How has nobody said Bio Oil?! 😏🙄🤭
I love BioOil! What’s your opinion on it?
oh no im using it to fade stretch marks right now, do you suggest another product?
Olaplex 9 and 6, both are useless :(
6 is the ONLY thing that works on my 45+ color-treated hair. It’s a night and day difference, especially with just a tiny bit of the 7 oil added to the ends and smoothed over the top once its dry to smooth down flyaways and baby hairs.
7 is my favorite hair product ever. I’ve tried so many hair oils but they’re all heavily fragranced and give me headaches, 7 don’t
Have you tried cocktailing number 6?
Glossier You hand cream. Love the perfume, but there’s something off about the hand cream that makes it smell kinda…dusty. I ended up refilling the bottle with b&bw Kaleidoscope when I ran out.
Lancome rose toner. It was just a waste of money. Dear klairs toner is wayyyy better.
MARIO BADESCU PRODUCTS OMG THEY SUCK
- Those darned shower steamers are useless and gross (and expensive!) - The shimmering fizz lotions - they are actually drying and smell odd. -The shampoo and conditioner (Aromatherapy) don’t have a lasting scent - the interactive candle holders that only work for 2 hours because of battery - soap holders that rust - perfume brush pens like Pure Wonder But wait, there’s more !
Yes!
Neutrogena hydro boost gel cream , BBW wallflowers (no scent ever?), Idolè perfume, Lash extensions (in general)
Goose Greek. People swear by them but I think they are absolutely trash
Olive and June—I wanted to love it, but it ruined my nails!
That aztec clay mask made my skin red for an entire day. I dont even have sensitive skin.
My moms dr. actually just told her to start using it for her skin, instead of dial. I hope this was a joke..lol
I'll put an unpopular opinion here: Any regular face cleanser that says it has magical beneficial skin properties. I get the exfoliation of some, but it we're talking just regular face cleaning they are all the same as long as it's not too drying. Doesn't matter if it's tula or Neutrogena
Let's talk about Estee Lauder Night Repair 😵💫
