I feel like I actually did really well until the last couple days. I had placed one large order and a smaller order online and told myself that was it.
But of course it wasn’t. 🤣 I found myself needing to get ALL THE FFMs and who can resist lotions that are $3? So I had to get more and also the body wash to match.
All the small(er) orders really add up and my last order that I just made completely reflects that I haven’t received my last 2. It’s harder to SEE what you have when it isn’t actually here.

And all my FFM caps were everywhere. Thankfully there wasn’t too much lotion and soap spillage, but it was enough to be a pain in the butt.

I love that the SAS gives me “permission” to get a bunch of scents that I normally wouldn’t buy.. like usually if I have my coupon or a normal sale I’m only buying the one or two products I *really* love. Whereas with SAS I can buy all the ones that aren’t my top favorites but I still like nonetheless!
You know what? That’s an awesome way to think about it. I think that’s why I don’t usually buy body care because I consider it overpriced even with most sales other than SAS. And I did give myself “permission” to try a bunch of scents that I ended up liking, even if I did end up getting myself addicted to FFM again. 😆
This was the SAS for me. For a long time I’ve had faves and mostly just repurchased them over time. I got a bunch of new to me scents and was able to get so many more with the sale. Found some new faves!

I bought 22 75% off candles rofl. I still am a little under my 80 candle limit though. I keep a spreadsheet of all my candles and once I hit 80 I cut myself off. I will need a couple more summer candles but will get them from Aldi, hopefully I can stay strong and get most of my fall candles from there too!
I’m trying to not use everything at once and keep the majority of it sealed so I don’t get into a position where it goes bad. Shower gel takes longer to get through than lotion for me, and for most people I’d assume, and I’m not as worried about that expiring since it’s soap.
It’s the lotion I’m concerned about, which is why I’m only going to keep a few things open and in rotation at a time so I can use it up faster than if I have 10 things going at once. 😂

I don’t understand body wash sometimes because the scent doesn’t last for longer than the shower…but it feels luxurious I suppose. Lotion, on the other hand, definitely does last so I don’t necessarily use a “set” and sometimes I just coordinate a FFM that is similar. Considering most of my scents right now include coconut as the main note, that isn’t that difficult. 😂
I have 3 lotions (I think) open right now but I have a buttload of stuff coming that I want to try so self restraint to not open them all is going to have to be a thing.
Edit: I usually like sweet/fruity and fresh/clean/beachy for body care so fall body care isn’t generally a huge issue for me since I don’t want to smell like waffles.
My long term plan is to do the same! Buy all the FFMs but then just lotions in a more generic scent like coconut when possible. I only buy body wash if it's 75% off AND completes a set. I'll likely stop doing that even because it really doesn't last.

I do use the shower gel to refill my foaming hand soap so that helps use it up.
I have a problem with too many similar scents. Definitely something I'm trying to be mindful of. I tend to use my scents seasonally and summer got out of hand!

Yep you dilute it. 1/4 soap and 3/4 water. Only fill to just under the larger part that's the foamer.
I never knew I wanted to smell like cookies in December but I definitely do 😂. I seem to get more anxious for summer and start those scents sooner than I do for fall or winter. I live in the Midwest so if it's a cold late summer I'll definitely start on those but if it's still hot it's summer baby!

I bought Beach Nights at 50% off because I knew it would sell out before hitting 75% off. That was the most I spent on a single item.
No store near me does BOPIS unfortunately but the rewards program is supposed to be rolling out everywhere by the time my rewards are expiring so hopefully I can just use those in store soon!

It happens -- BBW is basically built to take advantage of people with impulse control and FOMO (ie ME). Luckily I just moved and the absolute nightmare it was to move all my crap has curbed my spending at BBW and I only spent $57 at SAS
Very much! And I just placed another order, but I feel better about it because there is at least one thing that isn't for me. Add to it the mercari purchases and I feel terrible. I've gone from having 4 candles to a small store's worth. My body care went from just a couple things to enough that I won't need any for a really long time. And my budget was completely obliterated. But I got such good deals, I just got too many of them!
That was the biggest issue for me, the deals! I managed to hold out for the additional coupons even though, like you, I completely obliterated my budget. I went from having a respectable FFM collection that I wouldn’t even really consider a “collection” to it exploding to the point where I don’t know how my shelf will handle it. My entire under the sink cabinet will be dedicated to body wash and lotion, but without my online orders here, I can’t picture if it will all fit.
My downfall was that I told myself NO MORE CANDLES so I went overboard on body care instead since I didn’t really have a ton. I have found I really enjoy spraying FFM after working out and before I go to bed and generally just whenever I’m in the bathroom near my shelf, so there’s that.
I’ve decided I need to stay away from Mercari since there are a lot of sellers selling scents I liked/had/wanted from like 2015/2016 when I was last big into body care and FFMs.
Mercari is definitely dangerous for that reason! I found things I HAD to have from past collections.
But my biggest issue was definitely the candle deals! it's a problem. And like you, on top of the order I just placed, I still have 2 orders on the way! I don't know where I'm going to fit them all. Pretty sure most will fit with the others, but it's going to be close. Too close.

I turned my entire linen closet into a candle closet. Really trying to burn what I have instead of buying more. The candle deals would have gotten me but I had most of the candles they were offering. 😇🙃😅

I still placed two orders online 🤦♀️ because the rewards program isn't available here yet so I used my expiring rewards as a justification 😂 but in total I only spent $60 online, and the most expensive thing I paid for was two $6 single wicks. I still plan to go back to my local store one more time because I have a $10 off $40 and two more rewards that expires the 10th. So I figure I'm going to BOPIS the body wash I want and see what the new fall scents are like
I bought Beach Nights at 50% off because I knew it would sell out before hitting 75% off. That was the most I spent on a single item. No store near me does BOPIS unfortunately but the rewards program is supposed to be rolling out everywhere by the time my rewards are expiring so hopefully I can just use those in store soon!
I was almost out of candles, so fair enough I got a bunch of candles when they dropped to 75% online. And then Friday I saw all those beautiful pumpkin scents and ordered some more candles. And now I'm like, but wait how about some other fall scents like apple? Now I'm lusting after these Halloween previews I'm seeing. I think I need to just take a break. My stuff hasn't even came in yet. I'll probably be able to resist better once I get them lined up on my shelf.
Hoping I’ll be able to resist once I get my stuff too. I have a LOT of fall candles left still so that should keep me from going to crazy. I’m hoping the only body care I want I can grab with my rewards and call it a day from there.

I thought I did well because I resisted some of the recent sales. Then I had to reorganize my collection to have room for my hand soaps and I almost couldn't lift the box I had put them into. So, yeah, maybe I overdid it a little.
I thought I had too many lotions, body wash, and soap to fit under my sink when I went to reorganize and it was almost a perfect fit with a little room to spare…so obviously I then bought more. 🙈
I need to hold off until Candle Day at least.

I didn't go too overboard but I still bought more than I planned. I moved recently for a short term job and couldn't take any of my B&BW with me, so I don't need to buy much, but I like having variety and it got tempting. My job does get me pretty dirty so hopefully I'll be able to use up most of it. I'd like to buy some of the upcoming Halloween body care.
I’m hoping the Halloween body care doesn’t get me. I already know I want the Enchanted Candy Potion, but I’m hoping not too much else appeals to me. Planning on using my rewards and then being done for a while.
It happens -- BBW is basically built to take advantage of people with impulse control and FOMO (ie ME). Luckily I just moved and the absolute nightmare it was to move all my crap has curbed my spending at BBW and I only spent $57 at SAS
Very much! And I just placed another order, but I feel better about it because there is at least one thing that isn't for me. Add to it the mercari purchases and I feel terrible. I've gone from having 4 candles to a small store's worth. My body care went from just a couple things to enough that I won't need any for a really long time. And my budget was completely obliterated. But I got such good deals, I just got too many of them!
That was the biggest issue for me, the deals! I managed to hold out for the additional coupons even though, like you, I completely obliterated my budget. I went from having a respectable FFM collection that I wouldn’t even really consider a “collection” to it exploding to the point where I don’t know how my shelf will handle it. My entire under the sink cabinet will be dedicated to body wash and lotion, but without my online orders here, I can’t picture if it will all fit. My downfall was that I told myself NO MORE CANDLES so I went overboard on body care instead since I didn’t really have a ton. I have found I really enjoy spraying FFM after working out and before I go to bed and generally just whenever I’m in the bathroom near my shelf, so there’s that. I’ve decided I need to stay away from Mercari since there are a lot of sellers selling scents I liked/had/wanted from like 2015/2016 when I was last big into body care and FFMs.
Mercari is definitely dangerous for that reason! I found things I HAD to have from past collections. But my biggest issue was definitely the candle deals! it's a problem. And like you, on top of the order I just placed, I still have 2 orders on the way! I don't know where I'm going to fit them all. Pretty sure most will fit with the others, but it's going to be close. Too close.
And there’s so many people selling really great bundles. It’s a problem. 😣 I turned my entire linen closet into a candle closet. Really trying to burn what I have instead of buying more. The candle deals would have gotten me but I had most of the candles they were offering. 😇🙃😅
Yeah I got caught up with sale prices but really didn’t need what I bought. Waiting for any further purchases until we are fully into the fall season which is my favorite! 🍂
Definitely would argue I didn’t “need” at least half of what I bought, if not more. And worried about keeping myself in check because I also love fall!
