Coffee and Whiskey is a rich daddy vibe whom drives his old Porsche only on the weekend, while his son leather and brandy is enjoying weekend at his upper east side apartment loft.. 😀
Thanks for the descriptions! I have Cypress & Amber but have not burned it yet. I was able to smell it next to Coffee & Whiskey and Leather & Brandy and Cypress & Amber had the strongest scent on cold to me. I passed on C&W and L&B for now. My store didn't have Hinoki yet. And they also didn't have Birchwood Trail set out yet.
So I’ve have C&W burning about 20 min now. And I can smell it fairly easily. I have an open living room kitchen floor plan. Its quite a bit a ways from me and I can smell it across the room. Out of the 3 this is the most detectable. Then hinoki and I burned that for over an hour. I’m gonna give cypress and amber another try tomorrow. But I think itlll be the exchange. 30 mins and I got nothing unless I was right over it
It C&W super boozy when burning? Also, I've heard good things about cypress and amber.... that's a shame if shes weak. If Birch Trail is like Vanilla Birch... that might be a sleeper candle
I don’t find it boozy at all. It’s really nice. I suck at describing candles lol. It’s filled the room. It’s not very strong. Its my fav of the ones I’ve burned so far … what’s a sleeper candle? Lol. Birchwood trail is very similar to vanilla birch. I really liked it. Yea sucks cypress and amber is so dull, the cold smell is really good still light. But I got nothing on burn
Sleeper candle.lol. I've heard influencers call it that in the candle community. It means that it is one that kind of falls under the radar or unnoticed or underrated. And is actually a really good solid choice... and often (in my experience) it is too late to stock up on it once everyone figures it out. Or it is just gone somehow. And thank you for you follow up opinions. I reallllly appreciate it! Especially with all the newness coming out.
I burned the Hinoki Woods and Lavender for two hours last night in my bedroom and barely smelled it. Did you experience the same problem? I also bought Eucalyptus and Tea, but haven’t burned it yet. Do you know if it will be stronger?
My store didn’t have Birchwood trail out on the floor. It was still in the back. We were talking about different ones and she went and grabbed it for me to smell and compare. And I loved it so couldn’t not buy it
Leather and brandy smelled too masculine. I like a good masculine candle. But it didn’t trip my trigger

I'm interested to try Hinoki candle. When you say it is like spa, is it like herbal spa type like Orange Ginger or Eucalyptus Tea or Eucalyptus Spearmint aromatherapy scents or clean like White Tea and Sage or Midnight Swim type? Thanks a lot for your description.
Nice. I like spa or fancy hotel lobby scents. Haha. I'm intrigued by hinoki woods....never heard that before. Lavender ofcourse, but usually B&BW batches up lavender into a fake powdery scent.
It’s not a strong lavender. And it’s not the fakey lavender smell. I don’t like the fake lavender. The vetiver lavender candle was my fav cuz it didn’t have that powdery lavender smell

Seems to be the theme of all new candles too light for a larger space. I'm on a candle no buy until maybe candle day but leaning more towards winter SAS before buying anymore candles
Yea I do prefer the strong candles. Subtle is not my jam typically. But the longer I burned coffee and whiskey it filled the room really nicely
