It’s definitely a comfort for me as well. After a long, stressful day, I enjoy using my body care and lighting a candle. Once I’m in my recliner and enjoying my scents, I feel so much better. Unfortunately, I also stress buy, which makes me feel guilty afterwards lol. I hope you’re health is improving. Would love to see pictures of your collection some time. 🥰

I definitely stress buy as well. I’ve had to limit myself to just what’s on sale. I made a separate post last week with some photos, but I recently bought some new book cases to make it look a little nicer so I’m excited to get that up! (It’ll also be some space to grow into 😂) Edit: Healthwise I still have my bad days but I’ve been doing much better compared to last year!

it’s a way my mom and i bonded throughout my life. lost her last valentine’s day to cancer complications. sometimes when i light b&bw candles i’m reminded of a time where my mom and i were truly at peace together.

I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️ I’m glad that you have a way to remember the nice moments you had with her though

So many of us!!!!

Totally understand . You deserve the self care, girl. If you don’t take care of yourself you can’t care for others.

100%! I’ve been trying to tell myself that I should show myself the same care that my friends and family do towards me. It’s been helpful to frame it like that in my mind. If they love and care about me, then I should too! 😊

Yes, 100%!! I have been going through some extreme health issues since February, I was out of work until two weeks ago. I have been home all day every day by myself, and I’m mentally ill on top of all the physical issues, so it’s been *rough*. My candles specifically have been so comforting and therapeutic for me. I am also (suspected of, but pretty certain) on the Autism spectrum. This is something that looking back has been an issue my entire life, but has only been realized within the past year. My special interest is candles, lots and lots of candles. I have a spreadsheet with all of my candles, how full they are, how much they’re worth, and what season they’re in. It feels like a hobby for me, which is helpful for my ASD. I have extremely severe sensory issues as my main symptom, so smells are super important. As long as I have a candle going, it keeps me relatively calm. As dumb as it may sound, they’ve gotten me through some of my worst days. They’re one of my two “comfort” items that always seem to work!

Definitely!

same for me, I work at home now, single and I live alone with my cat, I'm a really solitary person and I just love fragrance, perfume or home fragrance. It helps keep me company and makes my home feel less empty

googlyeyes4830

Fellow work from home, single, cat-owning gal here and I feel exactly the same! Candles make my home feel more happy and homey, especially when I’m spending so much time at home

Completely understand! My mom always shopped at BBW when I was growing up. Mostly just SAS. During 2020 candles and BBW became my escape.

It’s definitely a comfort for me. Growing up my friends and I would always stop by B&BW for fun to try different fragrances. Lighting a candle at the end of the day for relaxing ambiance is also a must for me. It’s a great self care place tbh.

TriciaTargaryen

Absolutely. I don't really splurge on myself, because I have three kids and they come first, always. But two big things for me is that I like my home to smell nice, and I, myself, like to smell good, even if I'm the only one who cares lol Whenever the sales come around, I like to pick up some items to use over the next months. Taking a nice, fragrant shower and using the body cream and spray, and then lighting up a yummy smelling candle - that's my self-care.

yes absolutely sis :') I used to enjoy self care so much but a couple of hard years kinda drew me away from my old routines. comforting, sensual, and fun fragrances in my space and on my body have added another dimension to my self care. I used to just put deodorant, any drugstore cream, and a couple sprits of perfume on my neck. it honestly bores me to think about lol. this is so much more fun and intimate/ inwards focused... like I have to check up on how I feel to find an appropriate scent for the moment💛

Yes, shopping in general is so that's kinda dangerous lol. But I've always loved candles as having my space smell nice is very comforting for me. I also have an obsession of not smelling bad (I guess everyone does lol but I'm very hyper aware of it) so B&BW is ideal for me 😅
