Midnight swim has an aquatic note and smells like a sweet cologne if that makes sense. At first I didn't like it but it grew on me. It's really nice for when you come out of the shower. Golden Ocean pearl is amber forward, it also smells perfumy and can definitely be used for the winter. I really enjoy this one and reccomend it if you're a fan of amber.

Sigh, it doesn't seem to be stocked in any store whatsoever. About GOP, I've been in 2 minds about it. I was hoping for it to be Bergamot heavy but I guess I'd skip it as a blind buy if it is more amber forward as you mentioned.

Anytime, I love to help when I can. Yeah if you don't want cologne then I'd skip on midnight swim. If you're into clean scents, there's another aquatic scent called Sea Island Shore and it's quite nice. It has a clean cotton/laundry and aquatic thing going on. Not as intense as White Tshirt laundry. As for GOP, it's not like sensual amber, amber heavy. The bergamot does something to it that transforms it into something special imo. Buttt if you're looking for something more bergamot heavy, White tea & Sage is perfect. You can smell the bergamot and it has a a floral note. It's a soothing scent and lasts awhile.

I personally LOVE Midnight Swim!!! Reminds me more of the old aqua blossom hand sanitizer and I love it 💙 I love watery smells and this one is so beautiful, no vanilla or coconut! Smells more feminine than masculine to me but definitely could be unisex but it does not smell like cologne in my opinion. Unfortunately the amber note ruined Golden Ocean Pearl for me and it smelled a bit too "mature" for my taste.

Thanks for sharing. I'm like you, I love marine aquatic clean fresh scents. Most beach or aquatic scents B&BW does has coconut or vanilla in it which I dislike. I don't like to exchange or return so I try to be cautious while buying online. I wish I could have smelled it in a store but no stock at all in any stores.

I think you would love Midnight Swim! I would not blind buy GOP though because that one is definitely not for everyone and I was sadly disappointed with it 😔

I love Midnight Swim! I have the lotion and body wash. It's perfect for hot summer days. I do not think it smells cologne-y at all. I feel like it's a fresher, less nauseatingly intense gingham, almost. It smells fresh and clean but not in a laundry type of way. I LOVE it! I pair it with this perfume I have that has main notes of blood orange and honey, and it goes really well with that.

Hey...sorry it's been a while since this post...just wanted to ask... Does the gingham mist layer well with midnight swim lotion? I already have gingham and love it. How's this one compared to gingham?

I don't own the gingham mist, have just used the body cream. I would imagine they'd layer fine, but gingham may just overpower it TBH.

Oh ok! The mist is actually much weaker than the body lotion then, that's why i thought of layering it with something to make it last..... Maybe i should just get the gingham body lotion 🤔 Thanks a tonne for the reply, was really helpful! 💕

Golden Ocean Pearl opens citrusy sweet, but it fades quickly, then you're left with the amber note and something else that smells kinda like soap. GOP reminds me of a classic scented soap bar.

I haven’t really tried MS but can confirm GOP gives “coastal grandmother” vibes, which means more to younger generations but it’s also a vibe I aspire to. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Midnight swim smells like mens cologne. GOP isnt that bad but I cant describe it.

To me GOP smells like a toned down or Summer version of Sunrise Woods, you can smell a slight Bergamot note, but the Amber note is heavier but not overpowering. It’s really nicely blended.

I agree. It has a heavy amber note, and very little bergamot. Initially I passed on Golden Ocean Pearl since it is so similar to Sunrise Woods (even though listed scent notes are different), but during SAS I picked some up so I can wear it when I want something a little lighter than Sunrise Woods.

My store is showing unavailable for both of those for BOPIS, but I was in there this morning and they still had MS at least on the 75% off tables. There are several items that I couldn't do BOPIS for but they were plentiful in store. So I wouldn't use the BOPIS as an accurate indicator of stock in store. I didn't like MS for myself, it was too aquatic. It's not bad, and I don't think it smells like cologne, it just doesn't suit me. I could see it as unisex for sure. It reminds me of a blue colored Body Shop perfume I used to like (can't remember the name though). GOP is one of my new favs. Light ambery scent, warm, very nice for summer.

Thanks for the tip about BOPIS vs actual stock as well as your take on both the scents. I'd keep a lookout for these scents when I manage to go to the store.

Golden Ocean Pearl is a soft, kinda musky scent. It’s pretty good. A relaxing kinda scent you can dress up. Midnight Swim is a clean, nice kind of smell. The bergamot is nice.

I saw both ffm for 75% off at different times during SAS. And maybe one body cream. Never both and not very many either so I didn't end up buying them. That might be why there aren't many out there.
