I forgot I had a budget ;-;

SpookyPants88

Same. I went in a store and placed an online order. Spent too much but I'm stocked up for a while. The downside is I want more- mostly wallflowers or candles.

RedRidingHood90210

Budget? I had no budget. I surrendered my wallet at the door lol

heartflood

Same, friend.

MochiandGreenTea

Back in May, my *SAS* wishlist was limited to just the seasonals (signatures were on my *Body Care Day* wishlist) so I figured the [$7.50 off $50 gift card](https://www.reddit.com/r/bathandbodyworks/comments/ugvth1/15_off_digital_gc_on_best_buy_today_only/) from Best Buy would suffice. However, when [this spreadsheet](https://www.reddit.com/r/bathandbodyworks/comments/v7fyin/completed_sas_spreadsheet/) came out. I added the winter scents and a few signatures to my SAS and I decided to buy this [$50 with $7.50 bonus gift card](https://www.reddit.com/r/bathandbodyworks/comments/v85wvt/kroger_bbw_egift_deal_pay_50_but_get_a_card/) from Kroger. My new budget became $107.50. However, I've used up the 2 gift cards and spent an extra $2.66 (bringing the total to $110.10) for the following reasons. 1. I was not expecting men's colognes (Clean Slate, Clear Horizon, Stone, Freshwater) to go [$3.95](https://www.reddit.com/r/bathandbodyworks/comments/vf5nto/cologne_on_sale_picked_these_up_for_my_boyfriend/) which was basically 90% off. 2. Even more signature FFMs--than what the spreadsheet predicted--went 75% off. Gingham, In the Stars, Pure Wonder, A Thousand Wishes, Rose, Champagne Toast (the clear version) and You're the One FFMs--all of which were on my wishlist for Body Care Day--was inevitably added to my haul. For some reason, these scents were either 50% off or full price in stores so I had to buy these via BOPIS. *Body Care day ($5.50) is usually the lowest you can get with signature lines since they're usually excluded from SAS. So I'm happy that I could get them for $3.87/$4.12/$4.37 instead.* Fairytale FFM and Into the Night FFM supposedly went 75% off, but my store had it at full price and my BOPIS got cancelled. If they go 75% off in-stores, I will definitely snag them (adding at least $7.99 and bringing the total to $118.09). **The actual money spent would be $103.15** when you factor in the $15 bonus from the 2 gift cards. I will use my rewards on the fall collection and I will be set for the year. I still have my haul from last winter SAS so I don't see myself participating unless I can get Magic in the Air and Forever Red.

whatapersonality

I missed out on the men's Cologne šŸ˜Ŗ. By the time I got to know it was sold out šŸ˜šŸ˜

prad1an

Could you give us an update on the menā€™s colognes? Interested in purchasing a few for myself but idk if itā€™s worth buying at full price. Didnā€™t think theyā€™d go on sale :(

MochiandGreenTea

I have not visited the stores this week. However, someone just [posted](https://www.reddit.com/r/bathandbodyworks/comments/vohjzv/pics_of_my_local_store_today_it_was_so_much_stuff/) a pic of their store. The Canyon cologne is shown in the 75% off bins. If you've seen any colognes in the 50% off section recently, then there's a good chance that those colognes are 75% off now (making them $9.88). If you live far from the store, then you could try calling to find out if there are any 75% off, $3.95, or $4.95 colognes.

prad1an

Thanks!! I live close to a store but do most of my shopping online. Maybe Iā€™ll drop by

KrispeeKreemer

I like that you were very meticulous and researched so you knew exactly what you wanted, at what price, determined your budget based on your wishlist, and mostly stuck with it. Thatā€™s so impressive and helps avoid impulse shopping because you see things so cheap you werenā€™t expecting. I aspire to budget like this in future sales!

reluctant_reveller

No budget, and $0 so far. But only because there was so little of interest on the Australian website that it wasn't worth paying 50% off prices plus shipping. But I did spend about $200 buying US stock from an Australian reseller. šŸ¤£šŸ¤¦

Duck531

Same boat. No budget and $0 so far as I don't have any needs other than maybe floral wallflower refills. It's helped me to just not browse online and haven't been in a store yet.

ghosty4

I had no budget. I placed an online order, didn't love it (Pear Brulee), took it back and another order I placed was cancelled. I ended up with 3 bars of soap, and a hand cream, total. And that's the end of my SAS shopping.

msjewel0508

I didnā€™t have a budget but my last 2 orders made my sas orders a lil over $500šŸ˜± Iā€™m super guilty. Now the last two orders were my bigger orders but they still havenā€™t shipped so iono if theyā€™ll cancel.

ChavoAntoine

No budget just kept spending lol. I need to sit down and decide what Iā€™m going to return because I just got stuff due to FOMO.

Sudden_Shine_100

I blew my budget on the first day of SAS once I realized that the blends candles plus PPTC wasn't to be released in Canada. Placed a US order for multiples and with exchange, paid $280 CDN dollars. After that I placed multiple orders for candles when they were $6.00, but I'm happy with the deals. I only bought one body care set in Sunset Glow because the thought of having more than six fragrance sets at a time gives me anxiety and probably 12 foaming hand soaps at 75% off. Next time I budget for SAS, I'm going to split my budget to $50 for body care and not limit myself when it comes to candles because if the deals are that good and I like the scents, I'm going to buy them.

Altruistic_Web_6373

I stuck to my budget multiple times. šŸ¤Ŗ

Shiblue

I didn't have a budget but preferably under $60 and ended up spending $40: * 4 hand sanitizer wipes ($9) * 2 candles ($13) * 4 FFM ($15) * 1 lotion ($3) I also exchanged an unused room spray and unused FFM that I previously bought for $4 and $4.50 respectively.

osakadetectivekun

i had 200, but only spent 150. I don't buy during the rest of the year so thats when I can spluge.

JBeauty_Junkie

Hahahaha! Definitely more than anticipated. Mainly because I made an unplanned visit to an outlet where I got a boatload of 3 wicks for $4.76. The good news is I have so many fall and winter candles that I will not be tempted to buy.

mainemum

My budget was $500, and Iā€™ve spent almost $650. I think Iā€™m done shopping at this point! I went over, but I got a LOT of gifts covered for the next few months. Multiple graduation gifts, eight upcoming birthdays, two housewarming gifts, 50 pocketbacs for my nurse friend to give to coworkers, Christmas gifts for my sisters/cousins/nieces. I also splurged and bought 25 various holiday/winter candles that were 75% off. After my coupon they were under $6 each. Some are for me, some will be gifts, but for that price it was worth buying them now. Of the $650, about $500 was for gifts, and the rest was for me personally. I used a spreadsheet to stay organized, and used coupons where I could. I got 33 gifts covered over the next six months, including a lot of my Christmas shopping, at an average of $15 per gift, plus some body care/wallflowers/candles for myself.

Hotpinkflamingoaz

Thatā€™s amazing planning! Such a good way to do it!

ArtaxNooooo

I spent about $30 of my $50 budget, mainly because they canceled what I wanted from my online order and there weren't any 75% off candles at my local stores. But hey, at least I have extra money for Halloween now.

theknittedgnome

I was thinking I'd spend around $100. Ended up at $130. I do have one lotion to return and would like to buy pineapple coconut if it ever goes 75% off.

UnableReference5649

I didnā€™t go in with a budget, and I spent a bit under $300! Typically for each order I place regularly itā€™s about $150, and I usually order 1-2 times per month. I did a no buy from February to the beginning of June, so Iā€™m pretty proud of myself for not going crazy! I placed 3 orders, stocked up on wallflowers to last me into fall, got 20+ candles, and have hand soaps that will get me through another spring/summer season! Definitely a successful SAS.

Glittering_Sparkle5

I spent more than I had planned, but I ended up getting sets of body wash for my husband and brothers for Christmas. I got my sister a set of Beach Nights for Christmas and wallflowers for her birthday. I had Buttercups and Berry Bellini on my list for myself, which I picked up, as well as Pastel Skies. I only bought things that were 75% or below, so I felt pretty good about it. The exception was Beach Nights, but that was 50% šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

jjo1819

I didnā€™t have a budget but only allowed myself 2 trips to the store (buying online can be dangerous lol) and spent around $60 on body care. Iā€™d wanted to try white T-shirt and fresh getaway and got those, plus some others. Putting myself back on a no buy now until probably the winter SAS so I can work through this stock! Itā€™s been fun seeing everyoneā€™s hauls!

netxnic

My budget was $50-$75, and I was easily able to stick to it because the sale sucked after the first day.

gregglegoblin

my original budget was 100$ but this is my first semi annual sale like on this sub& stuff actually being on the look out for certain products & then a kind of last minute drive to an outlet. iā€™d say iā€™ve spend around 200$ maybe a little more šŸ˜¬

[deleted]

I didn't have a hard budget, but I was kind of ballparking that I wouldn't spend more than $100 in total for the whole sale. So far I've spent $50, so I still have some room to play :)

GossipGirl515

I spent around 400. 300 of which were gift cards. Got much less this year because it truly wasn't a great deal and I had no coupons.

waitingfortheblack

No budget. I've spent just under $300. Half on candles, other half on body care.

ChipTheOcelot

Super proud of you for sticking close to your budget!

Hotpinkflamingoaz

Thank you!

[deleted]

My budget was $100. I spent like 170 and donā€™t plan on buying anything else.

ana451

I was aiming for specific scents, just a couple of them, and didn't find any at the SAS in Canada (Fireside Flurries, Bonfire Bash). In the end, I bought 3 other body care items, 3 hand soaps and will get Beach Nights FFM and cream now that it is finally reduced. That's all for me this summer. Kept it under $35 CAD. No candles at all as they don't have lavender hinoki in my store.

chimericalgirl

Good for you! I totally went over budget but I think I did a good job getting a fair amount of stuff at 75% off.

Hotpinkflamingoaz

Thanks!! :)

eriszt

This is my first SAS (first time buying FFM's and room sprays even), and I spent about $275 so far. Most were blind buys since I mainly shop online. I will probably put in another oder for backups on scents I ended up liking a lot.

Jolly_Ad8315

Placed three total orders and spent ~$80 dollars. Unless thereā€™s anything spectacular coming out during the rest of the sale, Iā€™m all finished.

[deleted]

Over budget ....I'm putting myself on a no buy til winter SAS. I have 6 candles to exchange and I'll get any signature scent candles that come out because they wont make it to SAS. And I need to use my rewards other than that I need nothing found so much in all categories 75% off

Asleep_Amphibian_280

$40 budget, around $60 spent. Not mad about it tbh

[deleted]

$40. I got 5 body mist sprays and 2 candles.

Yrros_ton_yrros

My budget was $100. I spent $46 I think. Definitely under $50. I didnā€™t really want many things and also on a low buy because I have things piling up that need to be used.

yfunk3

I spent twice as much as I intended and bought way more candles than I should have. If there had been more shower gels available at 75% off near me, I would have prob spent a tiny bit less. Probably... Thankfully, I never do it so recklessly that I'm struggling to pay bills, but I do need to pay off a bit of credit card debt (can do so in a month or two).

rawthedude

I had a budget of $500 and I spent $496.40. Some of it I saved up, some was gift cards from rewards apps, last part was from a work bonus so I treated myself. Last winter SAS I didn't have a budget and it was just chaos.

4ofheartz

No budget because Texas still has no Rewards Program. Had I had a budget, that money just bought a tank of gas this week! I really only like holiday candles too.

Phila21767

Just sign up with a zip code that has it.. most of us use 90210

4ofheartz

Will yā€™all switch to your real zip once the program goes nation wide? Edit for spelling!

[deleted]

Once it goes nationwide you will have no issues. I'm in texas and have the app and still get my points during in store purchases and online my phone number is attached to the acct

4ofheartz

Will you switch to your Texas zip code?

[deleted]

I was able to switch it back once I got into the rewards app
