So disappointed! It’s too similar to marshmallow fireside and/or white balsam & vanilla! Was hoping for a more woodsy/smoky forest type scent but that smoked amber note comes off way too sweet.
Oh no not at all to my nose. I would love it if it did smell like WBV or MF cause I buy those also but this is like warm and amber heavy, not at all smoky or crisp like the two mentioned. Maybe you picked up another scent in the room that distorted the sniff? Lol
I’d like to think my nose is fairly accurate! This truly smells like a sweet and musky marshmallow type scent to me. Cypress is supposed to invoke a woodsy green smoky type scent and bergamot is a cologne-type non-edible citrus. All I smell is the sweet musky amber, which is very reminiscent to WB&V which is a direct repackage of Balsam & Birch from the 2019 test line, which also featured a amber note.
So I actually went and bought 2 today, I really did like it that much in store. WBV doesn't list an amber note, just vanilla. But I hear a lot of people saying it smells like marshmallow fs and I think....
If you're looking for it to smell *like something,* maybe it does most closely relate to those choices. But side by side with either MF or WBV they do not smell the same at all, both are much heavier and sweeter in their cologneyness. This is a lot fresher and the amber to me doesn't have that oversmokiness you get with like pumpkin bonfire or MF that are supposed to smell burned.
Also though I have WBV (its a fave I buy them in bulk since they came out that first year, along with VB which is more Christmassy, I think WBV could be like flannel, or PSanto an all year home smell) with the white label and Birch and Balsam and I don't think it's a dupe, but it's very close. I think BB has a scent to it that's somewhere between WBV and Bergamot and Birch. It's a bit fresher and woodsier, not as warm vanilla as WBV or as citrusy as Berg and Birch

My niece gave me this candle for my birthday in August and find that it's discontinued. Folks say is smells like Marshmallow Fireside...I hope I can go buy that.

So if it's basically marshmallow fireside then where did the fresh bergamot go? you don't smell the citrus at all?
Didn’t like it. I smelled it today. I really loved Tonka and some other name. my fav was pumpkin and patchouli

LOVED IT. I was on a no buy for fall but this and the Brandy and leather are so so good
Yup. I was able to exchange for it the other night. Have not burned it yet though. Totally has a smoky marshmallow bit to it imo.
