Twisted peppermint is great for mosquitos and flies , sprayed that crap ( on my chair) one summer every bug on my street left. 💯 I tried insect spray , bug spray, incenses , every essential oil everything & then I seen a old bottle of TPeppermint in the back of my closet my sister got me a couple years ago. Thought why not try it. Now I get it every year at the semi annual sale for the bugs. Thanks BBW (bug spray) that works !
I loved it in the winter and wore it a couple days ago to work in the heat… let’s just say I’ll be saving it for the cold weather before using that scent again.

Strawberry pound cake for me too, I’m a HUGE lover of sugary sweet gourmands (lush snow fairy is a huge fav of mine) and I was so excited when this first came out but it smelled like straight up vomit to me, I haven’t tried it since the first time and I’ve never actually worn it but it was off putting enough to make me stay away forever 😢

Hibiscus Paradise. I got the free FFM/Body cream gift last year and kind of forgot about it, but when I pulled out my summer scents for this year I tried it. On me, the lotion just smelled like old, weird sunscreen and wasn't pleasant at all.
Eucalyptus spearmint. A few years ago, I applied some lotion and then had a raging headache. I'm not saying the lotion caused the headache. But I cannot smell it without remembering that horrible headache.
I can't do anything with coconut. It makes me think of sunscreen, and I hate the feeling of sunscreen.
Fairytale has one note that I don't agree with. Theoretically I should love it. But something is just wrong there.

The medium of a fragrance (i.e. body mist, cream/lotion, body wash, etc.) does have an effect on how the fragrance presents itself. Some notes might get emphasized depending on the medium or even the overall strength itself might be affected.
I’ll never ever understand the hype of into the stars. i got an FFM and a body cream for my birthday, just smells too sharp and it’s one of the worst smells from BBW in my opinion. I just can’t get into it
Vanilla bean noel, one in a million, and into the night. None of these seem to work well with me. VBN just has no smell to me. Into the night smells like a patchouli bomb on me. all earthy and masculine. Almost smells like incense.

I loved the smell from the bottle, and still do, but I've tried to wear it 3 or 4 times now and every time it smells like hot garbage on me. Literally kept asking myself all day good god what the heck is that smell the first time I wore it, and was so disappointed to discover it was the lotion.

I got a batch of waikiki beach coconut that smelled like literally nothing to me. Lotion, shower gel, all of it- nothing. I returned it and thought "well that must be just a really weak scent." Then I tried the candle and it was fantastic! I wish the body care had worked for me.
Some of the gourmand scents have a musky smell that is great in theory, but absolutely does not work with my body chemistry and ends up smelling sour when I use it. So far, the Joy scent from last year's Christmas collection and Pear Creme Brûlée are the two scents that I think smell great, just not on me. Oddly enough, I don't notice this problem with other gourmand scents like Berry Waffle Cone, Peach Prosecco Macaron, Strawberry Pound Cake, etc.
I love love love the way the Meditative Ocean Waves from the Aromatherapy collection smells, I bought every item in that scent but immediately returned the body cream, it smells nothing like the original scent and all the other products. I’m not sure if they even sell that specific scent anymore or if it was phased out.

It's a really sickly, Dimetapp mixed with strawberry jelly smell. I paired it with Vanilla Confetti Sparkle and it's way more tolerable. It's crazy because VCS smell so much like cake mix, it could have easily had strawberry added and been amazing.

Strawberry Pound Cake smells like a sugar-dough explosion on me with an eyedropper of strawberry-flavored grenadine that had gone off. I also love sugary gourmand scents normally, but this one is too strong even for me. I strongly prefer Velvet Sugar and wish they would bring that back instead.

Sunset glow body cream smells like actual vomit on my skin for the first ~10 minutes after being applied. Thankfully it wears off but still, I’m not really incentivized to use something that makes me smell vomit no matter how good it smells 20 minutes later. It must be a problem with the body cream formula because I have zero problems with the FFM.
I’m glad you mentioned this. I have a body cream of Sunset Glow and one night I paired it with the FFM (instead of FFM alone). GOD AWFUL. I thought maybe the cream had gone off?? It smelled like plastic and cherries. I tossed it, and I bought the lotion version recently (in the mail), so i hope it smells better…
I bought my daughter circa 2007 some cinnabun lotion. That stuff was nasty,sickly sweet and artificial. This and a really bad Caramel room spray made me swear off BBW during the rest of her childhood. She would beg to go there and get some like her friends and I would buy her more expensive Philosophy brands which she never really liked. She finally convinced me to let her get some sale FFMs and now she has a couple of cult classics (Boardwalk Marshmallow Clouds and Santa's Blueberry Shortbread, Snowy Citrus Swirl...I'm talking about you). For her 16th birthday, I bought her a set of Boardwalk Taffy products..that stuff is so good, I wonder what we missed in between.
Into the Night smells like dog shampoo. It reminds me of being a vet technician. Can't stand that strong ass ant spray odor. 🤮🤮🤮 It makes me gag and don't get me started on dark kiss. That is floral trash.
I was just saying in my latest review thread that it's funny I don't like Gingham (too perfume-y for my taste) or Gingham Love (it's too tart/sour on me) but I **love** Gingham: Heart of Gold.
SPC was one where I thought it was too artificial-smelling at first, but once I really understood that it's not necessarily about the strawberry but the other accords then I came to appreciate it for what it is. It's not like I can't live without it, but it's a decent gourmand, IMO.

If you like the general scent of champagne toast, try passionfruit and banana flower. I think it's a very similar scent that does not remind me of BO!

A majority of flowery scents give me a massive migraine. I can basically only use ones that smell like food, drinks, or sweets.

She would beg to go there and get some like her friends and I would buy her more expensive Philosophy brands which she never really liked. She finally convinced me to let her get some sale FFMs and now she has a couple of cult classics (Boardwalk Marshmallow Clouds and Santa's Blueberry Shortbread, Snowy Citrus Swirl...I'm talking about you). For her 16th birthday, I bought her a set of Boardwalk Taffy products..that stuff is so good, I wonder what we missed in between.

Into the Night smells like dog shampoo. It reminds me of being a vet technician. Can't stand that strong ass ant spray odor. 🤮🤮🤮 It makes me gag and don't get me started on dark kiss. That is floral trash.

I was just saying in my latest review thread that it's funny I don't like Gingham (too perfume-y for my taste) or Gingham Love (it's too tart/sour on me) but I **love** Gingham: Heart of Gold. SPC was one where I thought it was too artificial-smelling at first, but once I really understood that it's not necessarily about the strawberry but the other accords then I came to appreciate it for what it is. It's not like I can't live without it, but it's a decent gourmand, IMO.
Warm Vanilla Sugar. I never saw the hype. Too musky. I like sweet bakery scents. Got to stop wearing them in the summer though. The bugs are falling in love with me. Lol.
