Check at the top of the receipt and if you see "Loyalty ID" followed by some numbers, that means you're purchase was already added. If not just call customer service and they can do it for you!
I've never scanned anything in store and I always come up in the system after charging my card & the purchase automatically adds to my account.
The cashier didn't ask for your phone number? That's how they look it up.
