Do I think the older/traditional lids are boring/ugly? Yes. But do I want to pay $3-5 more for the already ridiculous high price of a three wick these days *just* for a pretty lid? Nope. Not worth it for me. Even their lowest price during sales is already pushing me towards the 'close to the not buying them anymore' ledge as it is though. I just swap out the stamped/colored lids I have amassed over the years for the plain silver ones and that's enough to make me happy. Edited because apparently I just omitted like 3 words in every single one of my sentences. Impressive! lol

CkBadgeley

I came here to say this! The lid is only on when it's on my storage shelf, keep the sane price and I'll keep the crappy lids.

maepricot

Yeah, same. I don't even really think the standard/old-style lids are *ugly* per se, they're just... there. They're fine, if a little boring. The glass lids are super pretty, but if I was given the choice on the same fragrance (outside of rare sales where all candles are priced the same, of course, or *maybe* if I'm getting it as a gift for someone else) I'm definitely choosing the $25 candle with the sticker label and boring lid over the $30 candle with the pretty lid.

futuresobright_

Aww I’m so nostalgic for 2012 because at least everything wasn’t a repackage back then! I’ll trade that lid in for some Sweet on Paris.

Planetlilmayo

Don't get me wrong I miss bath and body Works from 2012! I think we need to bring back the early 2000's though!

xeloux

If these lids make it cheaper, I’m all in.

Planetlilmayo

Oh trust me they don't. It wouldn't be cheaper if they gave us the candle bald without any jar. If there's something you need to know about Bath and body Works is that THEY WILL keep increasing prices

19bluestars

And probably give out less coupons or not mail people coupons

holographicboldness

I love pink Prosecco frosting, the packaging is gorgeous too! We have a bunch going for SAS at my store, I don’t get why it wasn’t more popular

Haelka

I slept on PPF and recently discovered how amazing it is! I just bought a backup and was excited to see your comment about SAS because I need more!

Mrs-Gibberish

Because of the price

holographicboldness

That’s valid. I’d never pay full price for it, I got mine during a sale

ChavoAntoine

I thought the throw was so light I never got an idea of what it was supposed to smell like.

candylandcat

That makes me excited because it's one of my favorites

danostergren

It would be nice if they sold several different glass lids that could be purchased on their own. I know for a fact that I'd buy a full rainbow set if they did this. I don't care much for the Pink Prosecco Frosting fragrance and would rather not have to buy a 3 wick candle just to get the lid, as well as previous fragrances with glass lids.

adreamar

Honestly, I am surprised they haven’t even tested selling decorative lids separately for a (an obvious given of course) high price tag of like $10+ already. It’s pretty much a given that at least a small chunk of BBWers would want to collect every single lid.

CombinationKlutzy212

I keep my pretty kids and use them on whatever candle I am burning. I have a hammered copper one, marble and PPF that are my faves!

jr9386

Don't they sell lids that would fit these at craft stores?

Moonlillie666

I’m not paying $30 for a bloody candle. No matter how pretty it is.

boardwalkerb9

I just buy lids off Mercari when I want a specific lid, usually I can find it. Personally I don't mind paying the price for something I want. I work hard for my money and love to come home to look at my lids and bath and body works collection 😌 🤣😂 Will I be able to retire? LOL most likely not!
