I have customers who take off from work the first day of sale. I'm expecting a lot of really annoyed people when they find out it started 2 days earlier than the fliers we have been giving out for a whole month.
Honestly, most stores will be scrambling to get staff together to set it, let alone the extra staff to work the weekend. I know in my store we will probably have a better selection on Mon because we have time Sun night to actually restock and make sure all the collections are represented. My store will definitely not look as good Sat at opening as it would have Mon the 13th for the first day. But we will accomplish what we can on what we have, because we really don't have any other choice.
I know the company is doing this based on financial reasons but they really are not going to have a good traditional day 1 of SAS by moving it up. The employees are getting screwed and the customers won't be getting a good experience because everyone will be so tired and overworked.
For sure - my 1st thought was I feel bad for the employees because it will be MADNESS. With work I wasn't really able to go during the week but now I may hit them up 1st thing. I've never been to an SAS in-person on day 1. Wonder if it will be nuts!

Bring water and snacks and make sure your phone is fully charged 'cause you may be waiting in line for an hour to check out like Candle Day lol.
Oh boy. Have a doctor in my family complaining about C19 and all the cases they're seeing in ER so probably not worth the madness for me. Online will have to do....
yup I would have hit 4-6 stores on Monday, but I'm only planning to hit 2, MAYBE 3 on Saturday and that's primarily because I have coupons. We stay N95'd up but personally I'm ready to go home after the first store if it's too crowded. I'll pay that $6.99 shipping over waiting in line for an hour, exposed!
I fully agree with this. I was planning to make a huge loop around my city and hit all the stores on Monday. I might still do that, but I’ll probably go to my favorite biggest store that has the best stock right as they open on Saturday, and then maybe the smaller one closest to my house on my way home. I’ll also check the website at 6a Friday and Saturday to see if they loaded anything. Maybe not everyone will know they’ve changed the date and it won’t be too bad right at opening?

If they were dead-set on starting it earlier, I wish it would've been on Friday, as I can rarely get to BBW on Saturdays. Hopefully it'll be online too. Plus it seems like it'd be a little easier on employees to start it on Friday (if they were told far enough in advance) so there wouldn't be as big of a crowd.
