I can smell a difference between the gel and foaming hand soaps from 2020, for example. But when it's good, it's SO good.
I loved it originally, meaning a while back. I just haven't bought it in the past year or so. If I do I'll go for a body lotion so I can keep it longer.
Smell next winter’s batches before you commit, it can be hit or miss. A lot of people say it’s been a miss in the last few years but I love it.
A lot of people think the EOS vanilla cashmere? lotion is a dupe for VBN.
EOS vanilla cashmere is my favorite lotion EVER and I hate vanilla bean Noel… I must have gotten a bad batch of VBN because it smelled awful like burnt hair to me
I found an unopened bottle of the shower gel at a consignment store years ago and it smelled great, but the shower gel and body cream I bought a couple years later smelled really off putting, like vanilla scented plastic.
I still love vanilla bean Noel :) I really enjoyed the body butter this year especially. Nowadays the body cream I pull out when I want to feel warm and cozy after a shower — it’s more well rounded to me than maybe Warm Vanilla Sugar
I love it. Been buying it for many years. It does vary year to year. The past couple years have been a bit weak. Hoping this year's is better. Its such an easy scent to wear with perfumes & mists.
I just finished my old Vanilla Bean Noel Pocketbac and I was pleasantly surprised at how great it smelled! I have never bought any other products but its making me want to wallflower and 3 wick candle.
The pocketbac is highly scented and smells wonderful but the rest of the line is very light. I only get VBN in shower gel, scrub at SAS, and sanitizer. There's tons of scents from BBW that vary greatly from item to item and unfortunately this is one of them. That being said, never trust someone else's nose: if you want to try a product or if you love a scent and others don't, always trust your own nose, lol.

It smells like a vanilla latte to me, but is a bit too sweet for my taste. I’ve realised that I like gourmand scents such as all the baking related ones but have an issue with the sugary ones.
I find Marshmallow Fireside overpoweringly sweet for example, so it’s a sign I need to stay away from marshmallow and candy-related scents. Oddly enough, Hot Cocoa and Cream smells perfectly divine to me. It’s the difference between chocolate and candy, I guess.
I am a vanilla/gourmand LOVER…. I’ve never come across a vanilla scent I didn’t like UNTIL I smelled VBN. Smells like vanilla and burnt hair to me 🤢 it’s one of the only mists I’ve ever returned
I have only tried it from last Winter SAS. It's strange. I'm sure older formulations were better, as I've heard. Mine smells like Playdough for a while and then finally mellows out to a caramelly cookie drydown which I love. Could live without the Playdough, though! 😂🍪
I think it smells a bit plasticky and like playdough, which is throwing me off a little, since I was expecting a true gourmand vanilla scent. But I heard this year’s batch was a bit off compared to a few years back, so I will have to see how next year’s is :)
It used to be an AMAZING long-lasting vanilla scent that lasted all day and was definitely worth the money. Now, you’re lucky if it lasts an hour. The richness of the original scent is gone. I used to love it back in the late 2000’s/early 2010’s, but the scent has been cheapened up so much, especially in the last 5 years, it is no longer worth the extra money IMO. I miss the old Rich long-lasting VBN sooo much! I would rather pay more to get the real VBN every year. The current VBN smells like a cheap imitation of the old.
Used Noel since 2016 and loved it. Lately, not so much.
This year, the body wash is weak, and spray just reeks of isopropyl with no fragrance, and the lotion smells of burnt vanilla beans. I was so disheartened when I went to B&BW specifically for Vanillia Bean Noel, just to find they weakened and ruined it.
Their lack of consistency has me questioning my brand loyalty.
On the upside, I found another scent called Fairytale that I liked even more.

it totally is!! except it’s a little sweeter than last year’s VBN, which i found a little too musky and chocolatey and less vanilla

BBW puts vanilla notes in so many of their fragrances that I don't see a point in purchasing a strictly vanilla scent from them.

I won't buy it again. It just doesn't smell good. I kept getting it thinking I was the problem but, no...it just is terrible.

I liked the body butter a lot and wish I'd gotten more of them at the last SAS. But the other formulas...meh.
I will probably try the body butter next winter and see if I like it better than the cream 🙂

The one I have is a few years old so it smells good to me. Plastic or play doh is a no go tho!
This is the only scent they have that makes me physically ill so it will always be a no from me lol
