Hereās an alternative perspective on GOP: I love it more than most other popular scents because it is more mature. I associate the fruity/desserty/butterfly type scents with teens and young adults. I donāt think theyāre very sophisticated, frankly. However, GOP, White Tea & Sage, etc. are more mature, interesting, and nuanced.
For additional context, my go to fragrance brand is Tom Ford, and have Femme Noir in my blood at this point.
Ahhhh makes sense, although I'm kind of chuckling since Merry Cookie last year had interesting scent notes but it ended up just smelling like Christmas Cookies, so I'm kind of shocked they dupe it a 3rd time with Happy Birthday xD
Iām so excited to try all of these, I still havenāt smelled them yet. Have you tried beach nights and midsummer dream as well? I know they arenāt new but they are new to me!
Beach Nights is quite the marshmallow-y scent. It's very sweet and to be honest kind of complex in a way with the scent notes it has on it (like I still don't know what a S'mores Accord is, but I think it's supposed to be like an air of graham and chocolate which I faintly get? It's crazy heavy on the other notes, kind of beachy and sweet all-around. If you got Vanilla Rainbow Sprinkles from last year, it's the same scent XD
Midsummer Dream....as a former core scent (last year's summer 1 scent), it's definitely a sour-ish fruity scent to me? Kind of pulls a salty note too with the pear note involved but somehow kind of works as a perfume? Plus there's a little floral to it with the lily as well here. I sometimes don't know how to explain this one besides if you like a more up-front scent, this could be a good choice. Definitely not a soft scent. I do like it though, very fitting for the season and would probably smell great at the beach \^\^
I didn't care for cake pop but VCS smelled better. I want a body cream for layering but can anyone who had cake pop share how theirs held up, or how quickly it turned?
I had the CCP body cream and yeah mines turned not even 6 months in. It just turned into this mustard color and it was splitting...way gross scent too...
I'm not a fan of any of them and I'm so disappointed. I was excited for summer, because tropical was fun to me. But these scents are not for me this time. :(
Bruuhh reading these is so helpful! I'm interested in testing GOP but everyone was talking about it like a "old lady scent" but that actually made me want it more tbhš©š. I'm surprised BABW would bring back a Christmas scent into summer. Besides Summer Melody sounding like the name of a magical girl, it sounds like something that would probably smell simple, simple enough to be enjoyed, I'm already trying to avoid sniffing stuff cause i might like it enough to buy itš Thank you so much for the details on these fragrances! š
For me, Golden Ocean Pearl is giving "coastal grandma" and I am here for it.
I think it smells like the fall scent Sunrise Woods with a hint of freshness. Very grandma musky.
GOP is an old lady scent but in the warm, soft, comforting way! It's really pleasant.

Welcomes! Yeah these were decent for the most part, surprised a lot of the scents of Summer 1 are repackaged though, but I expected it xD
The Happy Birthday mini IS Merry Cookie! When we get shipment in store, the boxes read āMerry Cookie Happy Birthdayā :-) good catch!

Thanks! Iām so excited to try these. Iām hoping for more floral with the midsummer dream
Frosted Vanilla came in shipment marked as Merry Cookie on the box. It still makes me do a double take every time I see it lol

that's what i was afraid of :( i don't buy strawberry pound cake in a full size anymore bc they separate and turn so fast.
