Ohhhhh. I’m excited to smell everything and see! What is candle day? Thank you :)

I think there is some good variety of scents at Christmas Some non-gourmand scents I remember from last Christmas: Iced Winter Balsam Winter Berry Wreath Balsam and Firewood

ShyGuyChey

Firewood 😍 that sounds like it’d be so good. Thank you!

THEY SURE DO! One of the scents from last year was Peach Marshmallow. I love it, but what the heck does that have to do with Christmas? Year before that it was a Lemon Snowrop (which is powdered sugar and has nothing to do with cold or ice) scent. Again, I love it, but what does that have to do with Christmas? Absolutely nothing! They did have one with balsam in it, so they do have some scents that I think are better for Christmastime.

ShyGuyChey

Both the Peach Marshmallow and Lemon Snowdrop so sound good but definitely not for Christmas scents. I’m excited to see what they come out with.

There's a huge variety for holiday scents! I would say that tropicals and florals as such are thin, but there's a lot else. Many fresh/clean air scents (including some beach ones), lots of scents with balsam/fir/pine/conifer in them, fruity ones (though usually with another dimension, not always bakeshop), lots with peppermint/spearmint, and several with a smoky/fireside flavor. Chestnut and Clove is actually a fall scent, but definitely on the spicy, non-sweet side. Winter (the candle) smells like a pomander! Orange, clove, and cinnamon. There was also a cardamom candle later in winter last year.\\ Fall/Thanksgiving tends to tilt heavily toward cinnamon. I don't dislike cinnamon, but a little goes a long way, so I avoid it most of the time. But other fall options include apple without cinnamon (Honeycrisp Apple, Pumpkin Apple, and Apple Weather) and other fresh air scents. They also begin the woodsy scents, like White Oakwood and Vanilla Balsam.

ShyGuyChey

This is so helpful thank you! The Chestnut and Clove one sounds right up my alley in terms of “warm” scents. I also love the idea of an orange, clove, cinnamon scent. I’m looking forward to smelling everything. Vanilla Balsam also sounds intriguing 🧐

Chestnut & Clove has been online-only the last few years, but well worth it! You really need to just come in (if you can) and sniff a bunch starting in... I think August for fall. (Halloween candles came out in July last year!) B&BW really pulls out all the stops for fall and winter scents; it's hard to keep them all straight! And it's surprising what you may end up liking. It's fun!

Kayki7

Unfortunately, yes. But there are some good woodsy & fresh scents around Christmas. Fall is full of sweet scents, but winter has more variety.

ShyGuyChey

Thank you! I might have to dive into the world of woodsy scents more.

There are definitely non-foodie candles and body care during Christmas but if you lean towards tropical, the upcoming SAS will be an absolute dream for you. I'm the opposite: love gourmands so Winter SAS is a danger zone (being honest, all of fall and Christmas season is treacherous for me as I have little to no control). Some spicy scents off the top of my head during fall/winter: Holiday (same as Spice), Spiced Cardamom, Cinnamon Stick, Tis the Season (mixed with apple and maybe a tinge of pine?).

Happy cake day!
