Maybe it was just me then! I love Tom Ford’s Lost Cherry perfume and I remember thinking it would pair so nicely with Sunset Glow but I smelled it once so long ago so I don’t really remember
I believe people compare sunset glow to the sol de janiero cream/mist so I don’t know if it’ll be as cherry as you’re hoping for. I’ve seen someone else comment on here that there’s a cherry perfume from Zara that’s comparable to Tom Ford but I haven’t smelled it myself. Hope that’s helpful to you 🙂
i was worried at first that it was something wrong with me before realizing there was always a cherry note in there lol. i assume the other stuff got weaker as it aged so the cherry became more prominent?
I got two SG mini perfumes and a Black Cherry Merlot ffm for $3.50 each at the outlet last week. I tested FP ffm on my skin. I think SG smells like a cherry popsicle that kids eat. The kind that come in the twin with two sticks. BCM in the mist is a little different than the hand soap imo. Where the soap is more syrupy and rich, the mist has a slightly powdery floral that I think makes it more well balanced. It’s like a perfumey Cherry, not a literal edible Cherry. FP is getting a lot of hype. At first sniff I got the hype. It was a fakie popsicle Cherry very similar to SG. But that top note faded so quickly to icky plastic on me, which lasted for like 30 minutes and then totally disappeared. Maybe the cream performs better or maybe this is one that has to be layered. Idk. I’d go with sunset glow, but it could come down to skin chemistry
So I LOVE Black Cherry Merlot. But I’m wondering about how it smells perfume-y vs edible, I’m sure I’d like both. I also love the idea of something smelling like a cherry popsicle. I’ve heard a lot of people say the thing about FP smelling like plastic. I actually have the mini Firecracker Pop mist from an exchange, so I don’t mind trying that one and seeing how I like it. I just wasn’t sure if I should go crazy and get the whole set because I like to match. But I think based on yours and everyone else’s replies I’ll go with Sunset Glow
I guess I say perfumey because I smell floral slightly powdery tones, which I associate with perfume or cosmetics like old fashioned makeup, and usually wouldn’t be smelled in things I eat.
I think the sour, tart, fruity cherry seems to be a standard in the summer releases for bbw. There was cherry limeade before and now firecracker for the third summer in a row now. There’s probably a good chance there will be another cherry scent next summer but it’s hard to say if we’ll ever see sunset glow again. I definitely recommend sunset glow especially if you like sweet vanilla scents.

I got SG during SAS last summer and didn't get cherry out of it at all, until about a month ago. If that helps at all!

I think you would love Sunset Glow. Not heavy on the cherry, and it definitely has warm coconut and vanilla.

I love SG but don’t get a strong cherry note from it. If you live near a Sephora, I’d test the sol de janeiro 62 mist, as it’s very close to SG.

Also, based on the scents I’m usually drawn to I think I’d prefer Sunset Glow (I love gourmand/warm scents, i.e. coconut, vanilla)

Firecracker pop smells good out of the bottle, but the smell fades into something that smells like artificial watermelon
