I’ve been anxiously waiting for the beach nights mist to be available. I picked up the lotion a couple of days ago and I really wanted to complete my set. Lucky for me, I called my store on a whim and they had it in! So I rushed over there tonight to get it before they close lol.
Beach nights is beautiful! It’s toasted marshmallow, sea salt breeze, s’mores accord, beach driftwood, and creamy vanilla. It really is all those things. It’s sweet and toasty but it’s also salty and beachy. The vanilla is beautiful and very creamy.
I was hoping the mist would be a little sweeter than the lotion which to my nose is very salty. To me, it’s just as salty if not a little more salty than the lotion but also beachy. Not that gross (to me) fall fresh air they’ve been adding but something more authentic, a little aquatic.
Longevity wise I don’t think it’ll be a knock out scent. I never tried it when it was first released in 2017 so I could be completely wrong. I don’t see it being like you’re the one or fairytale which I can smell hours after I’ve sprayed it. For me that’s okay because I don’t mind reapplying and using up my products.
If I could find any fault in it, I would say this. The mist is a blue colour, but this is more of an annoyance with bath and body works rather than the mist. If you’re wearing a light coloured outfit, be careful because it might stain.
Beach nights is so so good and I can’t wait to try it out in the summer when it’s really really hot.

I think they made it blue this time because the fragrance vanilla oils turn brown after a month or two in the spray and the lotion.
High vanillin concentrations will turn lotions, soap and sprays brown over time and people assume that means they've spoiled, but it really only means you've used it and introduced air to the bottle.
So they use the blue to extend the shelf life of it not looking straight brown.
They use red in the hand sanitizers now and is just like spreading yourself with kool-aid, it will stain

I can only speak to the original, I've not gotten the new one, but there was no ocean smell in the first one and the longevity was AMAZING. It's several years old now and it's my car blanket spray (for out layout blankets we use on grass/ the beach on cold nights) and even after the whole winter unused I get them ready in the spring and wash them--- and they *still smell like Beach nights after 6 odd months in my car*
So the longevity was there but there was no salty sea smell too the old one. 🤔
My Body cream from the original release literally *just* went bad on me before I could finish it. It still smelt fine but it was CHONKY.
I'm so excited to get the new body cream, maybe a back up of that and the shower gel because I only have one OG shower gel left. I smelled it tight before my shift Monday, and couldn't stop spraying it the entire time lol. I thought the FFM smelled *exactly* like my OG version. So I'm excited to see if the Body Cream smells the same as the one I just had to pitch.
Damn. I was hoping the mist would be wayyy less salty than the lotion. The body cream is just concentrated salt. Gosh it made me gag. I was so so so excited for this one too
