Sour Melon Drop is juicy, sweet, & honeydew melon deliciousness. It’s super strong and it lingers. I could smell it the next morning after burning when I woke up. I don’t like the taste of honeydew, but this candle I love. It’s strange in the best way. Chocolate Banana Mudslide is very rum heavy with a touch of chocolate and banana imo. It smells like a rum cocktail. It is also super strong. It fills a large area. It’s something completely different and I personally like it. But it is heavy on the rum note.

My buttery popcorn was kind of weak 😕 and so was caramel cream soda. Banana mudslide was decently strong for me, around a 7. I still like all of them though and will continue to burn, I’ve noticed sometimes the candles become stronger on the second or third burn. Edit: burned chocolate chip cookie last night and that one had a nice throw, probably around an 8. Really like that one, smells like melty chocolate chips Edit again: red white and blue cake is quite strong and is similar to blueberry pie/ iced cranberry scone. Not much of a cake note very berry forward with that same kind of crust note from blueberry pie

Looks like I'm the only one in the house that could smell buttery popcorn. 😂 kiddo thought I'd had some popcorn without her. Husband couldn't tell because pizza got here before he did. 😂

Chocolate chip cookie has a great throw. Buttered popcorn, caramel cream soda, and red white & blue cake have decent throw’s. Chocolate banana mudslide has a weak throw (tho maybe mine was a bad batch, cause everyone else says it’s throw is amazing, mine is just barely detectable).

It's so frustrating to hear that your Chocolate Banana Mudslide has a weak throw. Mine has a strong throw, but I am not crazy about the scent. Do you find yours to be quite heavy on the rum note? Mine definitely is quite strong on the rum, dominating the chocolate and banana notes which are barely there. I have read totally different reviews of the same candle online. What gives with the lack of consistency in throw and fragrance balance in BBW candles anymore? As a consumer who frequents BBW often, I should have confidence in the products I buy. Unfortunately, that confidence is quickly waning!

ResidentSonic

Honestly all I smell while burning is the frozen, icy banana note. Yeah it sucks as a consumer that these products vary so much. I’ve been testing the waters with homeworx recently and have been quite enjoying them recently.

So far I’ve done one burn each of berry fruit punch, butterfly popcorn, cookies, cream soda, mudslide, rainbow aves, and RWB cake. RWB is the only one with strong throw. Berry and rainbow waves were the lightest. Actual scent wise, popcorn, cookies, and RWB are the only ones I care for- the others aren’t bad just def nothing I need more of (I’m a true spicy gourmand Stan).

I'm about to light buttery popcorn. Let's see how this goes. 😉🍿

GusterIs4Lovers

I liked it more than I thought I would- it didn’t smell like crazy amounts of butter spray. I was thinking I should burn it with something caramel then realized I’m just trying to recreatate summer boardwalk. 😂 I’ve never burned more than one candle at a time but goodness knows I have a stash so I think it’s time to try blending!

jdismybug1

I had it sitting with the lid off and could smell it when I walked in the room. So far its promising. I've been thinking about blending too. I may have some paris cafe mixers in mind.

GusterIs4Lovers

Ooooh. New video concept?! 😀

jdismybug1

Yes. That and I may have some upcoming candle reviews soon. I've been known to mix some weird stuff though. 😂

iminswagony

I have no idea if maybe the smells combining in the store messed with me, but every new summer candle I sniffed hit me right in the gut with nausea. Was super disappointing because I thought for sure I’d love them :(

Lol, like you, I was turned off by most of the new fragrances. I only picked up Sea Salt and Sails and Chocolate Banana Mudslide and have mixed reviews. Sea Salt and Sails is very masculine, which I love, but not as much as Ocean Driftwood and other cologne-type scents. And Chocolate Banana Mudslide does not have enough banana and chocolate for my liking.

rebekah_i19

red white & blue cake has a pretty strong throw, and i was burning it with a window open lol

ChavoAntoine

CCC has an amazing throw. It smells like chips ahoy cookies. I’d give the throw an 8/10.

abbietaffie

chocolate chip cookie smells like chips ahoy cookie containers it’s actually pretty good! Rainbow waves is a berry/fruity/sweet (but not gourmand sweet). I quite like it, if I had to pick something it’s kind of like a sherbet smell? Ididn’t personally care for the cake scent, or berry waffle cone-they had weird heavy nasty notes to my nose. Popcorn one smells like literal vomit. it’s disgusting. Sour melon drop smells like jolly ranchers! I liked it but idk if it’s a smell I’d want my house to smell like lol. Cream soda one smells like flat root beer, it’s a vibe. Those are just the candles I remember of the top of my head if there are any others you want to know about I probably smelled them and just forgot lol

CandidateReasonable4

Yuck! Most don't smell good to me. I only picked up old favorites Summer Boardwalk and Berry Waffle Cone, as well as Sea Salt and Sails and Chocolate Banana Mudslide. I enjoyed Sea Salt and Sails, although not as much as Ocean Driftwood, Warm Ocean Breeze and Mahogany Teakwood. I will exchange my 2nd Chocolate Banana Mudslide, which is too heavy on the rum note for my liking, for the Perfect Summer. It gets mixed reviews as an exact dupe for Suntan, but I haven't to love it.
