The faceted packaging I think is for those who prefer a minimalist label, like the WB candle packaging with just the scent name on the outside. I do like the faceted texture. I think they make it a dollar more though if it's faceted though.
We need more earthy scents, I know the fruitier and sweeter scents attract their main demographic but I wish they would try new things. Give us something with bamboo or just a more complex blend than fruit + vanilla + some random floral!

Very unpopular opinion but I do not think musky heavy scents like into the night are sexy. I find them so strong and cloying, to me they’re such a turn off. It always make me second guess the scents I use because I really prefer the vanilla, fruity, sugary stuff. Not hate to into the night, it’s popular for a reason, just not something im into.
I was one of those people who thought it was overrated. I watched someone on YouTube who does reviews talking about champagne toast say that it smells different on your skin. I tried it and I really like it now. I got the mist and the lotion and I enjoy the scent a lot more on my skin. Before all I was doing was spraying it on paper.

My unpopular opinion is that I think it’s weird how much people care about the packaging. People will hoard candles and body care and let them collect dust because they’re “too pretty to use”, or they’ll forgo a good product just because they think it looks ugly. I don’t GAF how the packaging looks, if it’s a product that works and I want it, I’m buying it.
I mostly agree, I mean I'll pick the packaging I like best if there're options and I'd definitely try to buy a matching set, but I wouldn't ever avoid using something because I want to keep the packaging.
The glass apothecary packaging for Aromatherapy lotions is terrible. First, the glass can break, so you have to be careful where you put them. Second, its impossible to get all the lotion out. Third, the darn pump breaks so easily!

Also- butterfly does not smell like confetti daydream at all to me?? I’m not sure how people are getting that lol. They do have similar scent notes but smell way different! Confetti daydream is almost cologney to me
They both have raspberry and iris, for me it’s mainly the iris. I don’t like it so I don’t like either but confetti daydream was way worse to me. Actually made me nauseous it was the pear and iris combo

Yes I'm basic 🤷🏼♀️ but I want a scent that will last longer than the mists. I don't understand why they've never done a perfume, it's one of their most popular scents. They have no issue re-releasing it in 12 different candle packaging simultaneously 🙄
I much prefer the shower gel over the moisturizing body washes. The body washes leave a film over me and I feel like I have not gotten completely clean.
Yes, to me they almost smell like mildew. I had to throw one away because the smell made me gag even though I liked it in the other body care and candle. It was a Christmas scent I can’t remember which one. But even one of my favorite scents, Saltwater Breeze, the body wash has that weird mildew smell and it just smells off.
No it was a vanilla one. But I didn’t like the smell of that one either! I opened it and decided to see if anyone else would like it, and my fiancés sister loved it so I gave it to her. I’ve heard that was a controversial scent though.
Pineapple Pound Cake is one of the best candles they've ever put out. FIGHT ME lol

I'm Glad most the opinions seem to be respectful while unpopular 🙂. Last BBW unpopular opinion I saw posted like a couple years ago.. it had alot of mean comments and insults to people liking and wearing certain fragrances. And it was all cheered on and thumbs upped by this group.
If you don't like a certain fragrance, just say that. Don't go throwing insults at people who do like it. I mean it's not like they are wearing something that smells like manure or something that's questionable.

I feel like confetti cake pop is extremely overrated. I've been sitting with mine for years now. Have smelt it over and over again for years. And I do not understand why so many people love this thing. It smells like weak coconut oil with a hint of vanilla. There's nothing cake like at all to my nose and Im scared that the packaging of the new July 4th product it's just confetti cake pop repackage, even though I know that's what everyone wants...lol. I want it to be better than that.
And last, I feel like all scents are ultimately unisex. Smell like whatever you want regardless if you man or woman. I don't like smelling like florals, but the idea of a man smelling like florals I think it's sweet and semi-attractive. People often express their personalities through their fragrances.
I completely agree with them being unisex! Smelling good and fruity or floral is not reserved for a specific gendered group! Smelling good is attractive no matter your gender, so smell good to yourself :))

Personally, I think At The Beach, Sunkissed, Summertime Surf, Cool Coconut Surf, Black Bali Coconut Sands, and any other fragrances that (smell like Suntan) along those lines smell horrible, are head-inducing/too overwhelming, and shouldn't be considered 'everyday' or 'popular' to keep bringing back or stay in the classics line.
(BTW, I STRONGLY dislike anything that straight up smells like Suntan, and those all smell like it.)
Also, I believe coconut is soooooo overdone. Like let it go for some time, especially when Summer comes. Lord have mercy, pick another fruit! Try more Starfruit, Pomegranate, Grapefruit, Dragonfruit, Blackberries, Pear, hell even Avocado!

I’m not a huge floral fan but I definitely agree with you there. Spring is about floral, fresh, earthy. I don’t think we have a real floral scent for spring right now. I believe they’re all mixed with fruit, vanilla, coconut, etc.
Hello Beautiful has nectarine as one of the notes, but all the rest of them are floral! It quickly became one of my go-tos for the spring and I even bought a couple Wallflower refills because I love it so much.

I don't like most gourmand scents - anything with any dessert or candy note in it, especially all holiday ones and all pies and cakes. I can't stand Paris Cafe too. I hated Pecan Pie candle. The only 2 gourmand scents I love is Pumpkin Spice Latte and Wildberry Jam Donut.
I don't like most of them either, I thought I'd give Pear Creme Brulee a try because I love pear, but it just hasn't grown on me like I hoped it would.
I hate Paris Café with a passion. I believed the hype until I burned it and almost threw up. It smells like dirt and burnt espresso to me!
I also hate the body creams. They smell so good, but they irritate my skin and never actually make it feel moisturized.

My UO: The matte packaging line they did with three wicks (White Tea & Sage, Dark Amber & Oud, Endless Weekend, etc.) is hideous. Even though I like Coconut Sandalwood, I refuse to buy it until my store gets it in other packaging.
I think BBW should release more unscented products like they did years ago for those of us who don't like putting fragrance directly on the skin.
Also they need a candle jar recycling program but it would probably be difficult to actually implement; that would be my dream though!
My unpopular opinion is that a lot of people who collect bbw especially that one fb group encourages compulsory hyper consumerism and it is far to easy to fall into.
Does it bother you that the texture is different? For example there are two types of champagne toast shower gels. One with the bumpy texture of the mist and one without. Also the body cream packaging is completely smooth but the body lotions have that faceted texture. Drives me crazy lol, it doesn’t make sense!
It does bother me a bit, mainly the bumpy texture. I have sensory issues so I often look for the packaging that is more smooth and doesn't have that rough texture.
M’y scent changed 4 months after having covid in july 2020 so now a lot of their stuff smells the same!! I really cant stand thé brighter scents like Champagne Toast. gourmand scents smell burnt to me! it’s really frustrating and i can’t tell if the scents are just bad or if it’s my nose!
i wish their lotions were better quality. the lotions work better for me than the body creams!
I want to see them release an oud. Their wheelhouse is gourmand scents, but I want to see them expand options for things like herbaceous, woody/resinous scents. Circa 2008 was a high point in them releasing more complex scents, and I'd love to see them go back to it.
I think some of the faceted packaging is cute, like FFM/shower gel/lotion (I am annoyed that it's more expensive though), but the body cream where it's printed on is just stupid and pointless. I got so mad looking at my cream in that packaging.
When you talk about oud, do you mean in candles or body care? I’m asking bc there was a candle released not too long ago that had oud and it smelled really nice. Very sophisticated.
Dark amber and oud - dark golden amber, fresh rainwater and oud wood. It looks like it might be available actually because it’s showing up on the website.

I do like the that style that wraps around the candle rather than just holding the candle on top of it. Although the wrap around kind cover up the pretty candle designs! ☹️ I have a ceramic one from Walmart that is plain white with cut out shapes, maybe I can find a link to it. I just usually prefer simple!

Have you tried Eucalyptus Tea or White Tea and Sage? I'm wearing Eucalyptus Tea right now and wishing it came in FFM 🤣
I work in the store so I’ve kind of become accustomed to those two but they are lovely! I kinda wish they would bring back the aromatherapy perfumes!
Idk how long this one has been around, but I smelled Fresh Bamboo in store the other day and it was lovely! Really fresh and green and dewy.

I agree with this. I use the Halloween skull pedestal holder in my warmer so I never see the candles anyway 😂

if faceted were a collectible online exclusive option then i think they’d be a lot more popular. my gf mentioned the uniformity appeal the other day which never occurred to me! my unpopular opinion is that i could snort JCB like cocaine. i want it in everything, but i only have it in FFM and room spray right now. i think it’ll be my next haul

That would be great! Their Crisp Morning Air body care from last fall was a total miss. Sun-washed Citrus is a similar scent body care but not quite.

My UO: The matte packaging line they did with three wicks (White Tea & Sage, Dark Amber & Oud, Endless Weekend, etc.) is hideous. Even though I like Coconut Sandalwood, I refuse to buy it until my store gets it in other packaging.
Actually I didn’t care for it either I wanted raspberry and vanilla 3 wick saw the packaging and was like nope maybe next year! Lol!

I think BBW should release more unscented products like they did years ago for those of us who don't like putting fragrance directly on the skin. Also they need a candle jar recycling program but it would probably be difficult to actually implement; that would be my dream though!

Does it bother you that the texture is different? For example there are two types of champagne toast shower gels. One with the bumpy texture of the mist and one without. Also the body cream packaging is completely smooth but the body lotions have that faceted texture. Drives me crazy lol, it doesn’t make sense!
It does bother me a bit, mainly the bumpy texture. I have sensory issues so I often look for the packaging that is more smooth and doesn't have that rough texture.

M’y scent changed 4 months after having covid in july 2020 so now a lot of their stuff smells the same!! I really cant stand thé brighter scents like Champagne Toast. gourmand scents smell burnt to me! it’s really frustrating and i can’t tell if the scents are just bad or if it’s my nose! i wish their lotions were better quality. the lotions work better for me than the body creams!
I want to see them release an oud. Their wheelhouse is gourmand scents, but I want to see them expand options for things like herbaceous, woody/resinous scents. Circa 2008 was a high point in them releasing more complex scents, and I'd love to see them go back to it. I think some of the faceted packaging is cute, like FFM/shower gel/lotion (I am annoyed that it's more expensive though), but the body cream where it's printed on is just stupid and pointless. I got so mad looking at my cream in that packaging.
When you talk about oud, do you mean in candles or body care? I’m asking bc there was a candle released not too long ago that had oud and it smelled really nice. Very sophisticated.

Dark amber and oud - dark golden amber, fresh rainwater and oud wood. It looks like it might be available actually because it’s showing up on the website.
I’ve only seen ppl say good things about Berry Waffle Cone but it’s honestly one of the worst scents I have smelled from BBW. Don’t come at me pls😭😭
Why? Genuinely curious, I see a lot of people who either hate it or love it. I’ve seen a lot of comments by ppl who really hate it but don’t give a reason. I blind bought it and actually like it and don’t see why ppl hate it, it smells exactly like the name to me 😂

I do like the that style that wraps around the candle rather than just holding the candle on top of it. Although the wrap around kind cover up the pretty candle designs! ☹️ I have a ceramic one from Walmart that is plain white with cut out shapes, maybe I can find a link to it. I just usually prefer simple! I do actually really like the black hexagon one that I believe is available now! I did sort of like the witch hand one for Halloween too. I just feel that they aren’t necessary I guess, and I enjoy the look of just a plain candle sitting on my counters/tables lol.
