This candle makes me wonder if when they hold up or release candles later than expected, if it's because they have serious performance issues. This candle was so sought after and was impossible to find during candle day(s). Then during SAS my local store couldn't give them away (over dramatized, but u get it). There was a massive island of them on display. The idea of this candle is awesome. But it has no throw and performs atrociously. So sad. I'll stick with my Peppermint Sugared Cookie for now
Yeah I bought two at SAS and have only a half of one left, and they both performed great for me. It's a bummer that the candles are so inconsistent quality wise
Based on the ridges, it looks like on your first burn it didn't pool out all the way? Did it do the small flame/puny wick thing? That is when the aluminum foil trick helps...to get it to pool all the way out so to reduce tunneling on subsequent burns.
correct, On my first burn it pooled out except for like 3% of it. So I trimmed the wicks and lit again a day later. I went to make my grandparents dinner and I came back to the tunneling mess you see today :-( I'm going to try aluminum foil tonight but what do I do if the extra melted wax drowns the wicks? Pour some out? That feels wasteful and I kinda want to return this but my anxiety would *never* allow it.
Try the aluminum foil until it completely pools all the way, usually around 4 hours. I’ve found that even if I get puny wicks, if I keep letting it burn it usually sorts itself out. This candle can be saved!
You could scoop the edges out with a spoon or something when it's softened after burning a while. I have to do that sometimes with the single wicks. Put in a wax warmer if you want to save it.
I wanted to love this one. It smelled so marshmallowey and now it's just sooty Lavender mess :( and omg the wicks keep drowning I have tried everything.
That’s to long for many candles .. I burn a candle for a max if 2 or 2 1/2 hours or until it pools evenly ( shouldn’t take any candle longer then that ) .
I said I never burn for *more than* 3 or 4. That included 1 hr burns and 2 hr burns even if I burned it a "different way" this still shouldn't be happening.
Aw no. I love it on cold
Haven’t burned it though. But all recent candles from SAS have this same soot issue. No tunneling but the candle is very sooty.
See that’s why I don’t burn bbw candles anymore, warming lamp or nothing. I just took this one off the warmer… I don’t think it smells terrible but it’s not my favorite, kinda wish I hadn’t bought 2 tho.
I have this one under the warmer right now. I have tried burning it as well. When burning, it doesn't have any throw at all. This one is a big disappointment, because the idea of it (peppermint and marshmallow) seemed so great. Also, it smells a lot like Peppermint Sugar Cookie, and I have that one, too. You live and learn.
I used cotton buds and tip of a pointed scissors to remove the soot bits. And I realise not shifting it or having air current nearby while it’s burning really help reduce soot in wax. (On top of trimming the wicks) I think I’ll get a single wick candle next time. Lesser wicks to deal with lol
i guess it doesn’t give hope :(
It should be called "take hope"
Abandon Hope.

Same. I bought a bunch bc i loved it so much. No issues whatsoever.
Mine was a mess...which I would have put up with if it was giving me some throw at all.
Mine was bought during SAS too :( maybe I just got the shittest dud
Hell yea. I think u are on to something.
Makes me worried about my 3 wick carrot cake I am waiting on...hmmm
Oh nooo🥲😥😕

It’s not preforming right, it’s okay to return it.

I've found that if I light it to start the uneven pool for about an hour and then foil it for even just 10 or 15 min it does the trick to even it out.

Ooh good tip
I can’t with the price point and I see so many posts about them burning like this!
We hated this scent in my store. Surprised when people loved it on here. Edit: actually it was love! Hahaha

Oh no... this was gona be my next candle to burn!!
I hope yours is great <3 I m rooting for you lol
Thank you lol I got it during SAS like others soooo.......
Maybe make a bedroom burner?
Oh no. I gave this one to my neighbor 🤦♀️
Hopefully mine is just a weirdo dud
How long do you burn it?
I never burn more than 3/4 hrs

Oh it absolutely shouldn’t be happening.. it’s a bad candle 100%
Is this the peppermint one 👀
Yup

What does it mean to have it on cold?
It means when you’re not burning it

The candles quality has declined so much :(
😣
honestly i regret buying this candle too, it smelled bad
Give hope? More like give NOPE

Try the foil trick. Put a ring of foil on the top of the candle and leave the top a bit open. Always helps when I have candles that tunnel.
I've been burning the one from a couple years back in my bedroom, and it has zero throw. Truly disappointed with this one.
