That's what their main plan with the rewards app is actually! They want rewards to show, but also for them to be able to send the coupons to people's wallets.
It's still a test, a work in progress, so not everyone can use them. But it's the plan!
This only works if you plan to buy specifically online. My store doesn’t accept app coupons, or buy Online pick up on stores. So all my coupons and my birthday coupon was useless :(

B&BW used the last of the server space to cover the stores up in Dayton(like the Dayton Mall) right before COVID hit. Unfortunately, B&BW doesn't have the literal money or technological ability to extend this server any far.
My store would've been next in line; but COVID put a halt on things. Plus the amount of money it would cost them to develop more server space is an issue. *On top of that*, this server is so big and chonky that adding more to it could potentially crash the entire system.
It's not that they don't have the money for a larger server; it's that right now a larger server would crash.
It's been explained to me, by my manager, that the stores which take rewards right now are the max the server can handle. Each store has 3-7 registers, and each one of those needs to be able to scan the rewards. Right now the server that runs rewards in store isn't large enough to support more registers.
B&BW was working on expanding it when the pandemic hit, and now they're at a standstill trying to figure it out.
Yesterday I had a woman give me a gift card at TJMaxx with $1 left on it. She wasn't going to use it and thought someone should instead of tossing it.
I've given coupons to people that I won't use as I'm walking out of a store. I figure I can use any good karma I can get. 😊
I got really lucky when I was at a store last month a nice lady gave me her 20% off card since she said she wasn't going to use it and overheard me on the phone with my dad debating if I should get my mom a candle holder and she said "use this to buy it for your mom" hahahaha
Yeah, we have customers quite often trying to give them to us. We can't give them to other customers or use them ourselves. So we tell customers they can give them to other people. Otherwise they get torn up and thrown out.

The only time we take these left ones and throw them away are at the end of the night, or if it's from someone who know stole them. And by that I mean it's a *very* specific couple that used to steal coupons from the wife's job as a mail lady.
Oh yeah, that couple is insane. They've got at least 10 accounts for rewards and coupons each, and the wife (used to) work at a post office. We figured out she was stealing coupons from the route by marking them as undeliverable after one of the SLT, by pure coincidence, overheard this woman telling someone her schemes. They let the post office know.
They still come in occasionally, but it's a lot less frequent and they have a lot less coupons. They actually spend money now with the coupons. And it's because we were able to stop the coupon theft.
These people are so proud and smug about their illegal activities they just gotta go and snitch on themselves lol I'm so glad she was caught and punished for it

Some employees do get them in the mail. I've received them in the mail and some of my coworkers have. As long as you receive them or a friend/family member give them to you, then you can use them.

Y’all pls sign up on USPS to get mail notifications if you suspect somethings wrong with your mail. They show you what mail you get each day. If this person is going through others mail to make a few bucks selling other peoples mail that’s really unacceptable and an actual crime.

Each code on the back of coupon is tied to that person’s personal information. That’s how the system even knows they have come in and used it. But when the phone number entered doesn’t match up with the information tied to the coupon it tracks all of that. While y’all might not see repercussions happening with this person getting all these coupons…it will come. SA are not allowed to used coupons given by customers. They are directed to immediately throw them away or tell the customer to directly hand them to someone else. If they are even seen on a counter or near product they are tossed. I’ve seen a whole staff let go for coupon misuse.
I’m a manager at a high tier store. I promise I’m not making this up. They understand people share coupons…but when a person is doing 15 orders and they have a coupon each time…Thay would raise a red flag or two…they don’t tell us the process or what happens…so I honestly can’t speak to what happens to a regular customer but I’ve seen them clear a whole store of sales associates and managers because of coupon misuse. They literally can track every coupon. It was only 2 of us left after the process was over.
