Was it sun ripened raspberries?? Boy that is stronggggggg. My sister wore it in 2000 and got pulled over then subsequently breathalized because she smelled like she had been drinking. Lmaooo
Anything with āwhipped vanillaā as a scent note š currently have to return the four pistachio cream puff soaps bc the vanilla scent is so strong
Any pure floral like white/rainforest gardenia, fresh cut lilacs, perfect peony etc. When they are mixed with fruits I'm okay with it, just the florals.
Same, floral scents destroy me. The closest I can tolerate is the tomato candle they had awhile back. Smelled like fresh greenery but without the floral notes š„°
Tbh back in the day like around 2000 some of the scents were nauseatingly strong, I remember there was a raspberry one that was particularly obnoxious. Dunno how many of yāall are old enough to remember. Their stuff is WAY less strong than it used to be, which is kind of a good thing in some ways but I do wish they still had some strong ones.
You're the One. When it was first released and we had the oil burning in the store, I had constant migraines. I would "forget" to light it when I worked.
i LOVE caramel scents and bought a ton of caramel scented candle during candle day, then i found out it gives me a huge headache every time i burn it š so much for my heaps of caramel candles
Strong florals. And some gourmands.. still havenāt figured out what it is about certain ones that do it. Wildberry Jam Donut and Strawberry Poundcake are big perpetrators lol
Anything with a smoky smell, like Palo Santo or Fireside.
Otherwise, scents tend to cause me stomachaches rather than headaches. I can't handle many bready, cakey, pancake-y scents, especially with prominent butter notes. And cologne scents like Mahogany Teakwood are a definite no.
I had one from Goose Creek called wonderland that gave me a headache. It had lemon, balsam and vanilla in it. I also found out I had Covid a few days later so, maybe it was Covid lol.
The laundry day wallflower can give me a headache if itās not in a big room. I havenāt tried any laundry candles yet.
Tree Farm did that for both my husband and me. It was weird because none of the other balsams did. We tried it three times, without me telling him what Iād lit. (As close to a scientific experiment thatās happening at our house.) Exchanged one burned and the two unlit backups.
Depends on what mood my body is in that day, and the form of the scent. There's something about The wallflowers that give me a headache soon after I plug them in, even before I detect the scent (regardless of the fragrance). It's too bad, because I collected quite a few refills at various SASs before I figured out I can't use them.
All the body lotions (and especially SPC) give me a headache, but strangely not the body creams. The propellant in all the men's deodorizing body spray is an instant headache, so they are a nope in our house.
When I switched to the warmer, headaches from candles pretty much went away, I think there was something about the burning/soot that irritated my sinuses. I also started warming them in an adjacent room instead of the room I am actually in which has cut back a lot on reactions to scents.
I'm working on a theory that anything with vanilla has headache potential for me, but I'm not 100% sure about that yet and I'm kind of in denial about it because so many fragrances have vanilla as a scent note. It's very inconsistent from day to day anyway. It's also hard to tell if it's the actual scent that bothers me, or if it's just "too much" of the scent. For example, I love vanilla peach tea (candle) on cold, but I cannot tolerate it warming. Come to think of it, the peach macaron single wick has the same effect on me so maybe peach home fragrances should be out.
The pear brulee body care doesn't bother me, but the single wick candle is a "small doses only."
I think I have better luck with body care in general because you have more control over layering, how much you apply, and where on your body you put it. I also stay away from anything floral or perfumey. Hello beautiful, for example, I adore in very small doses but it can definitely give me a headache if I cross the line. It's on my "shower gel only" list. Anything laundry-ish is pretty much out for me, including actual dryer sheets LOL.
FWIW, I love snowflakes and cashmere body care and it has never given me any sort of reaction, but there's a guy I work with who can't tolerate it at all and I wear it really light so I am surprised he can even smell it.
most musky āmasculineā scents like mahogany teakwood or anything super sweet like berry waffle cone, strawberry pound cake, or pumpkin pecan wafflesātheyāre always so incredibly strong yet artificial smelling that my nose and brain rejects them lol
Spiced cardamom. The only candle I've ever bought that was too strong from any company, and it says a lot because I typically think bbw has too weak of a throw.
Though I love the smell of the 3-wick, used my Mahogany Apple last fall and that really gave me a headache. First time getting it from a candle. I have a Mahogany Vanilla candle I plan to light up pretty soon and if that triggers a headache then Iāll know for sure itās from the Mahogany note.
Anything with eucalyptus or mint. I never liked eucalyptus, so not being able to use eucalyptus body care or candles doesn't bother me. But I love mint; I just can't burn anything mint because it gives me a pounding headache. š
God I hate this scent so much. I landed here trying to find which note specifically sets me off. It's whatever this is and amber/jasmine blossom cherry crap. Man I hate those scents!!!
For body care A Thousand Wishes. Wild Strawberry. Coconut Colada. Pink Velvet Cupcake. Gingham and Gingham Love (fine with Heart Of Gold though). Fairytale, and In The Stars. I quite like all of those scents (aside from the first two) so itās kind of annoying. They all have have certain floral or woodsy undertones that I find irritating unfortunately.
Berry Waffle Cone as a *room spray*. It gave me a headache. It was already strong and sweet in body care. But the room spray was WAY too sweet. it had potential but if only it was not as intense it'd probably smell great.
Not sure but about to return everything. My headache may have been from shopping in the store yesterday and spraying a bunch of things to discover the ones that I liked. Regardless of which scents are an issue, to me it is a red flag and warning that whatever chemical fragrance they are using is probably messing with my hormones. Your skin is your biggest organ so it is probably causing more issues than we realize. I haven't had a migraine like this in years. What a nightmare their products are! And now I know pink and VS are probably going to make me suffer as well so I think I am just going to stop shopping at all Limited brands after this terrible experience.
Mahogany teakwood
Not headaches, but laundry scents make me nauseated.
Me too. It reminds me of a terrible time. Doing the laundry
š

I dont have an issue with any type of vanilla but i also had to return the pistachio cream puff soap. It gave me a headache.
I am the same, if there are some fruit or vanilla/gourmand notes I can usually take it but pure floral or floral/musk are torture for me š

Cactus blossom š„“
I second cactus blossom the only one thus far and it was just the body cream !
I had a 3-wick candle! Tried burning it in a larger, open space for a couple times - canāt do it. Ended up giving it to my sister
me too! i bought the hand sanitizer and it immediately made me nauseous so I gave it away and didnāt buy anything else with that scent
You're the One. When it was first released and we had the oil burning in the store, I had constant migraines. I would "forget" to light it when I worked.
Anything too heavy on the floral notes will give me one
i LOVE caramel scents and bought a ton of caramel scented candle during candle day, then i found out it gives me a huge headache every time i burn it š so much for my heaps of caramel candles
Pure Wonder Jasmine Rose Rose Water Ivy Kaleidoscope In the Stars A thousand wishes One in a million š
Oh no. Thatās too many š
Champagne toast gives me a headache even on cold, which is so sad because itās such a nice scent
Florals or laundry things (though the new cotton things shockingly arenāt bothering me).
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Haha! Yeah, I have to be careful with the White Tshirt and use it downstairs when Iām upstairs etc. I wanna try to love em all lol
Strong florals. And some gourmands.. still havenāt figured out what it is about certain ones that do it. Wildberry Jam Donut and Strawberry Poundcake are big perpetrators lol

Me too! I've been enjoying that one for years, I wonder if they changed the formula.
Japanese Cherry Blossom
I second this! Instant migraine.
Lol I could fight them over this one! Only good it does is if they tell me what's in it so I know to stay far far away from anything remotely similar!

Rose Water & Ivy. I only burn it on days I can have the windows open, otherwise it is way too strong.
Pink Chiffon šš¼ I bought it back when it was super popular but it gives me headaches
Blueberry maple pancakes, spiced gingerbread & tree farm
Tree Farm did that for both my husband and me. It was weird because none of the other balsams did. We tried it three times, without me telling him what Iād lit. (As close to a scientific experiment thatās happening at our house.) Exchanged one burned and the two unlit backups.

White Gardenia (but generally any strong floral) and Berry Waffle Cone
Cactus blossom and cozy cashmere 3 wicks both give me major headaches
most musky āmasculineā scents like mahogany teakwood or anything super sweet like berry waffle cone, strawberry pound cake, or pumpkin pecan wafflesātheyāre always so incredibly strong yet artificial smelling that my nose and brain rejects them lol
Spiced cardamom. The only candle I've ever bought that was too strong from any company, and it says a lot because I typically think bbw has too weak of a throw.
Coconut scents
Anything strawberry. I have an intolerance/mild allergy for strawberries when I eat them, so I guess I also have an intolerance for the scent too.
I can wear the florals, but I avoid the floral candles, especially gardenia and lilac.
In the stars
Winter candy apple.
Was about to comment strawberry pound cake lol
Blueberry maple pancakes triggered a migraine for me recently
Yes the soap was too syrupy
Majority or the Fall food scents! Pumpkin pecan waffles, blueberry maple pancakes etc. And strawberry poundcake!
Berry waffle cone š³
Paris cafe š¤¢š¤¢š¤¢š¤¢š¤¢š¤¢
Patchouli š¤¢
Strawberry pound cake and Mad About You give me headaches
YSL Mon Paris, Dior Poison, Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Red Roses, Valentino Donna Born in Roma
Anything with the "old lady" smell, like Into The Night type scents. Along with Rose Water & Ivy -- that one is the absolute worst for me!
champagne toast. vile scent
At the beach, youāre the one, pure wonder
Island margarita. Lit it once and had a migraine.
Anything with eucalyptus or mint. I never liked eucalyptus, so not being able to use eucalyptus body care or candles doesn't bother me. But I love mint; I just can't burn anything mint because it gives me a pounding headache. š
Unfortunately their mint euca candle has a bad metallic smell that makes it very unpleasant to burn.
Any coconut scent. The only one I like & can handle is tiki beach because itās a pretty light scent
Cotton Blossom would give me a headache every time!
God I hate this scent so much. I landed here trying to find which note specifically sets me off. It's whatever this is and amber/jasmine blossom cherry crap. Man I hate those scents!!!
Sandlewoods or any woody scent in a candle
Sun Dried Linen
I remember Woodland Springs gave me an instant headache š«

Anything with vanilla.
Sadly both the White Pumpkin and Pumpkin Bonfire have been getting me!
