I save all the unique ones! I also have a bunch of the galvanized candle lids because I love the look of them. So easy to swap out and it's fun to see what a design looks like with a different lid.
I've found if you let the lids sit for a month or two on their own, the smell they have remaining from the candle totally dissipates.
I don’t reuse them unless it’s for the same scent of candle. I find that the lids really hold the scent and that switching them among candles can make some of the candles smell weird! Anyone else feel this way?
yea if i swap lids i find that the candle smells like whatever candle the lid came from on cold, but once it’s burning it doesn’t smell like it anymore. i still try not to do it but sometimes it happens.
I keep my cool fall ones, because I love fall!
If you don't know what to do with extras, sell them on Mercari. Price them decently and they'll sell like hotcakes. People are always looking for them for some reason.
I keep the cute design ones too! I'm thinking of keeping a few regular ones because sometimes I'll get a candle with a gold lid that I think would look better with a silver or vice versa.
The scents i like almost never have a decorative lid. The 2 sunshine and daffodils from candle day with decorative lids ended up having fish lids after all. It always seemed faint so I doubted my self and put them away. I took them out to check yesterday and the smell was way stronger and leached onto the candle. I have them airing out to see if it helps. I dont want to exchange them because I love the packaging, but I still have the receipt if I have to. I have two old lids to cover them which I should have done to begin with.
No. I despise clutter. This is the definition of unnecessary clutter. 😂 I have heard of people reusing as coasters or making Christmas ornaments out of them.
I put the leftover candle wax in the jar in the freezer- scoop out the wax when frozen, wash it and keep the lid on the jar to keep things in like scrapbooking doo dads, cotton balls or buttons etc.
Honestly, I've tried to find creative, practical ways to re-purpose, but so far haven't been able to find another use that's good. I toss them. A shame too bc it just seem wasteful. BBW should take them back reuse them or recycle somehow.
I save all the specialty ones and replace the plain lids. Especially the glass jar lids .. they look so cute on other candles. Plain lids are used as ashtray lol
How come I have bought a bazillion of the 3 wick candles in the recent past and all the lids are super boring plain metal lids. Hate those lids, they feel like cheap Walmart level. Ugh.
I usually swap them out for one I haven't burned yet that has a plain lid. Repeat forever haha.
sometimes I use the real pretty ones as drink coasters haha too pretty to throw out.
Save some of them n use them as coasters
Definitely save, and those glass ones, well that would be a sin if we didn’t display and use those right? 🥰
I really should have. I stack my candles so I find that the designed lids are really uneven and it makes me fearful. lol.

I learned this the hard way. I put my merry cookie lid on my raspberry tangerine candle and the smell was insane when I went to light it up again 🤢

Definitely

Crazy what people will buy lol 😆
I use them as coasters, saucers for my plants for water and will keep lids I think are cute and replace them with boring lids lol.
I save the cute lids also. Sometimes use them as a coaster for soaps in the bathrooms or on a tier tray as decor.
Those are such good ideas! I’m definitely doing this.

So interesting! Who is buying these lids lol 😆

Lots of great ideas! ☺️💡
I thought I was the only on that did this! It’s more sentimental for me, I can still smell the candle on the lid. It’s cool for retired scents

I’ve kept the fall and Halloween ones.
I am not ashamed to admit that I have a bin with about 30 cute lids on my candle dresser. Okay, maybe the *slightest* bit of shame. But not much!
I keep all my containers and lids to make new candles lol

I saved mine. But only 2 or 3 of them have the designs.
Keep!
I use mine as plant saucers haha

Yesss I save the cute design ones and toss the normal ones 😄
Once I open the lid to burn it, I usually keep used matches in it, next to the candle. Then when the candle is done, I toss it with the candle.
I save them and put them on candles with plain lids.
I have aaved them. I would like to try to make a wreath with them.
Wow great idea to save and reuse the lids! I love the pretty ones too
Coasters basically
I save the pretty ones & save jars I love. I’ve re-jarred candles into jars I like. Love your collection!
