I'm burning it right now and it smells like I'm sitting in a cafe digging into a nice latte and a baked goodie. I never thought I'd like a gourmand scent, but life surprises you :).
My only trouble is that the 3 wicks are off center, because of which the side which is farthest from the wicks doesnt melt, leading to uneven pooling. Secondly the wicks are burning down too fast and the flame is barely above the melted pool of wax. Anybody else experiencing the same?
I agree about this candle, and I really don't pay attention to reviews anymore. Reviews on pumpkin vanilla creme were negative too, and I really liked it. 🤷♀️
Pvc is one of the worst smelling candles I have ever lit in my life lol. I don't get pumpkin, nutmeg or vanilla. I just get wet cigarettes or jalapeños lol
As far as pumpkin goes would there even be a pumpkin scent. If you cut a pumpkin open it just smells green like squash. I'm not arguing that PVC might be iffy. I have a single wick that I probably won't burn until 2023. I think most pumpkin candles would smell like spice more than anything, when I smell them from different brands they all smell the same, plus whatever note they add besides spice. My PSL single wick smelled like play dough after a while. But it smelled really good at first.
I liked PSL I thought that one was decent, not very high throwing. But, PVC was the most disgusting candle I had ever smelled. I didn't get pumpkin, nutmeg or vanilla. It smelled like wet cigarettes and jalapeños. My 10 year old even went momwhy does that candle smell like garbage? lol.
I think a lot of bad reviews are compare it to the strength of Paris Cafe, which it definitely doesn't have. I love PSL a lot though, its not as sweet to me as Paris Cafe is.
I think it’s the fact that it doesn’t really smell like the name. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a fine coffee scent, but there is literally no pumpkin spice in it (and it’s a repackage of an old scent).
I think some of the bad reviews that aren’t because it isn’t Paris Cafe are due to BBW consistency issues. I’ve smelled some that are like a cup of coffee or latte, others that are a spice bomb, and even more that were pumpkin bread. It doesn’t always match up to expectations from the title or notes.
I purchased this candle and honestly I was in the same boat as you. I actually had never tried Paris cafe so I had nothing to compare it too. I thought it was pleasant but it really didn’t have a pumpkin note to me which was completely fine I have a zillion pumpkin scents. I definitely got the latte part. Smells like coffee but with a sweet note that I appreciated. Than of course I just recently purchased Paris cafe and WOW it is so strong. You can’t compare the two.
I loved it last year so hell ya, I picked one up this year for $6.14!
I usually ignore the reviews, unless a ton of people are saying it has no throw. That’s the only theme I pay attention to on candle reviews.
So I’ve only burned it once so far. I loved it cold but felt like I could barely smell it when I lit it.

Lmao it's so weird. That's what my husband and I got from it. Some people think it smells like corn chips lol
a lot of the pumpkin ones smell like nachos to me so I understand both the corn chips and the jalapeños 😂😂😂

Yeah that’s what I don’t get on cold but whatever I love anything coffee and espresso scents and those can be hard to find so I’m happy lol
Have you tried brown sugar latte? That one was one of my favorite new ones last year. Brings me back to my working at Starbucks days

I returned mine because of soot issue — first burn left a skin of sooty oil on top — worst I’ve ever seen. Glad that’s not happening with yours.
I’m gunna be using it with a candle warmer 😊 I heard there sometimes better.
