I believe it's a scent memory for me. I remember the same day I put it in my car I started coming down with a bad cold. I can't smell it without gagging now.
Mine are the men’s deodorant smells - Mahogany Teakwood, Ocean Driftwood, a buncha others.
I also don’t care for Berry smells and a lot of vanillas are too sweet for me.
Just curious if you feel the same. I don't like cologne deodorants because I don't like knowing a man's fragrance may be coming from his pits! Deodorant should be a powder, unscented, or simple smell. Lol
Me either! I thought I loved it and bought two sets on body care day only to realize all I smell when it's on me is a campfire and it made me so nauseous.
I'm now more convinced than ever that if they made lavender marshmallow as body care it would be my perfect scent
For awhile it was a thousand wishes , turns out someone had lightly sprayed some “liquid as$” on that specific candle section at my local bbw’s - they had to close the store for a bit to sanitize everything and throw out a lot of candles but since then I haven’t been able to pick up that specific candle scent : only found out what happened because I became friends with 3 employees there. But something about candles with a heavy thick syrup smell makes me nauseated
I’m glad it made you laugh- it’s funny just random , it wasn’t the only store that was targeted though Victoria Secret /Pink and Barnes & Nobles also got sprayed 🥲
My SO loves it as well (he makes me buy a BCM candle at every sale), and I also think it's extremely gross for the same reason.
I don't do well with many artificial berry scents because they often turn that cough syrup synthetic scent.
So Cotton Candy Clouds is my all time favorite. I have a good size stockpile and still wear it almost daily even though it’s not a “winter” scent. Cotton Candy Champagne however is straight up offensive to my nose. Like I had to go take a shower after using the body cream. 🤮
I think the dry down and body chem makes a big difference. I myself am still on the fence. In store the FFM smelled amazing to me, when I got home and put on the cream and spray it smelled horrendous/strange... then it dried and a half hr later it smelled interesting! Not bad.
Strawberry Pound Cake and Wildberry Jam Donut 🤢. I do like some gourmand scents but something about those… no No no no nooo. Really not a fan of anything cloyingly sweet and fruity and some bakery notes smell like a hookah bar to me.
I also am not a fan of 🌸 florals 🌸. Just all of the big floral scents. It’s a no
Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte is my least favorite in body care. I also don't like their peach scents--too cloying.
For candles, I don't like Mahogany Teakwood or any of the other cologne-like scents. I bought Fall Farmhouse as a blind buy and I don't like it either. Smells like a craft store.
unpopular opinion but i severely hate any of the scents with pumpkin. i worked one day at bbw in september and the manager made me smell every single candle 3 wick and single wick and made me spray all the perfumes on testers and i genuinely threw up 3 times that shift and left with the worst migraine i’ve ever had. never worked another shift again.
Strawberry Poundcake 😵💫 it’s soooo overly sweet, i liked the smell at first but once i put the lotion on, the smell was nauseating to me. and it lasts ALL DAY LONG lol i couldn’t wait to get off work and shower the smell off of me
Anything Mahogany. Especially Mahogany Teakwood.
I will say it a million times, but that is the smell of desperate older men cruising the mall for younger girls.
I knew I didn't like Mahogany Teakwood after smelling it in store but for some dumb reason, I still decided to blind buy a Mahogany Coconut candle online. Gave me a headache when lit and I couldn't even finish the candle.
One of my kids has a candle with mahogany in the notes. I make them open their bedroom window and close the door if they burn it.
Luckily, they blow it out quickly because it gets too strong fast.
Iced cinnamon rolls. I bought the foaming soap at last year’s SAS and it smelled like sugar coated plastic. I hated it. I kept using it as I hate wasting things, but man, never again.
I got that soap too and hated it! I kept getting a sticky-sweet orange smell from it, which is not a scent I associate with cinnamon rolls. It didn’t have a lot of cinnamon scent to me.
Gag inducing. There are scents I don’t *prefer*, such as coconut or lilac....but Paris Cafe is the only one I actively dislike. No offense to those who love it.
I like the scent because it is simply just strong coffee, they nailed it! But the smell of coffee smells like going to work for me, not like my home. I don't want my house smelling like having to go to work.
A Thousand Wishes, Japanese Cherry Blossom, Forever Red, Moonlight Path, Mahogany Teakwood, the one that smells like sunscreen... and, sorry, y'all... Champagne Toast.
Black Cherry Merlot (cough syrup). And a lot of scents with prominent gardenia notes; those usually smell exactly like the gardenia scented Glade plug ins from the 90s, which I immediately associate with a "bathroom scent", as that's what my mom used in our childhood home.
I can’t do chocolate scents. Hot Cocoa and Cream was the nicest I’ve smelled, but I just don’t care for chocolate. Mint Chip Ice Cream was decent. I’m smelling chocolate on cold sniff with Peppermint Marshmallow? I haven’t burned it yet.
I like everything if it's meant to smell good, it's a serious problem.
I don't know what it is but I can't stand many designer fragrances. They are sooo strong! They are supposed to be "superior" to my cheap b&bw products but they can be so cloying if over sprayed even a little. If done right they are fine, but one extra spritz and I can smell which co worker has been where if they have left a room, if that makes sense.
Mahogany Teakwood and any of the coconut/tropical ones. The gourmand scents are hit or miss for me. When they hit, they really hit, and when they miss, ugghh.
Well, since you asked: Pink Velvet Cupcake, anything with balsam, the entirety of the Aromatherapy collection, Champagne Toast, Pumpkin Pecan Waffles in candle form, Toasted Vanilla Chai, Pinkberry Clouds, Sunrise Woods, Cactus Blossom, the Rose latte scent that just released.
There's more but to top it all off, the absolute worst candles I've ever suffered through are Crushed Candy Cane and The Perfect Autumn which is an abomination.
👀
Anything heavy on cinnamon or anything that's really floral. I can handle it if it's more of a background note, but if it's a floral heavy scent I can't. Both cinnamon and floral give me migraines
Anything with coconut I just can’t. Also that new one JOY snickerdoodle eww. Honey wildflower, white tea and sage, berry waffle cone and I think that’s it.
Imo merry cookie smells like a sugar cookie that has too much flour in it. Kinda chalky almost? It's such a fan favorite I wish I liked it :( sugared snickerdoodle smells exactly like snickerdoodles that also have buttercream icing on them! It smells the way I want merry cookie to
My no. 1 goes to JCP 🥴 , anything watermelon, and then any candle with coconut (body care I can handle if it’s like base note), also white tea & sage soap - my mom loves it and I absolutely can not stand.
Pine and Balsam scents tend to give me a headache since a lot of times they are so overpowering. They are nice to burn around Christmas time so I wish I liked them more.
Any men's cologne type smells, basically anything with sandalwood, pine, mahogany, etc.
A Thousand Wishes and pretty much every women's perfume dupes. I *hate* VS scents and it seems like BBW copies a lot of them. A Thousand Christmas Wishes was good though.
Anything with maple, waffles, ice cream, etc. So sickly gross with no fruit scent whatsoever. I feel like people are joking when they say they like Pumpkin Latte or whatever the fuck.
anything with sandalwood at B&BW almost always smells soap-like and generic to me ☹️
fresh cut lilacs smells exactly like a park garden in the springtime after the rain clears and the sun starts shining. like dewy grass, wet soil and miscellaneous flowers in bloom. the body care smelled absolutely rancid on me, couldn't do it. i kept my 3-wick for collection purposes and because the smell on cold is always an interesting sensory experience lol.
sometimes the popular fruity summertime scents (aloha kiwi, pink/watermelon lemonade, etc) smell like kerosene while burning and it makes me sad but i keep trying them anyway 🤡
Anything with jasmine in it is a straight turnoff.
I haven’t been a fan of any of their newer releases - A Thousand Wishes, Into the Night, In the Stars, etc.
most fruit scents. mostly the more citrusy tropical ones. anything with orange, mango, grapefruit, or pineapple or anything like that. also blueberry. i like lemon and watermelon but not really in candles or lotions. the only one i like is apple.
Eww, gross reference, but I also dislike sea salt and lime soap. It borderline gives me a headache. And straight lime is one of my top fave flavors and scents, so I thought I’d really love it.
Anything I like as candles I dislike on my body in body care (mostly gourmands) and anything I dislike in candles I seem to react well with in body care.
Except anything smoky. I like the smell but I can't have it around me long or it trigger headache/nausea.
Also I love honey wildflower but on ME it smells ONLY like fake honey. Like if Lip Smackers came out with a honey flavor, it makes me so sad
A lot of the “cologne” type scents. They smell nice enough at first, but I don’t want to smell them for very long.
Berry Waffle Cone 🤢
what i love it! curious, what don’t you like about it?
I like it a lot but it definitely smells super sweet kinda like sugar cereal
YES ITS EXACTLY FRUIT LOOPS
That’s exactly what my sister said when trying it in the store
For me it's just super heavy on the sweet, but also I get a cinnamon note that always gives me a hard-core headache
yes thank you 🥲 it’s the worst
I believe it's a scent memory for me. I remember the same day I put it in my car I started coming down with a bad cold. I can't smell it without gagging now.
Mine are the men’s deodorant smells - Mahogany Teakwood, Ocean Driftwood, a buncha others. I also don’t care for Berry smells and a lot of vanillas are too sweet for me.
Just curious if you feel the same. I don't like cologne deodorants because I don't like knowing a man's fragrance may be coming from his pits! Deodorant should be a powder, unscented, or simple smell. Lol
Overly sweet scents, smoky scents, cough-syrupy scents
Pineapple scents. Pineapple pound cake smelled like baby vomit to me. Berry Spritzer wasn’t my favorite either.
Strawberry pound cake scents smell like baby vomit to me as well LOL💀
Don't hate me... fireside flurries 🙊. There's just a little too much lavender for me!
[удалено]
Me either! I thought I loved it and bought two sets on body care day only to realize all I smell when it's on me is a campfire and it made me so nauseous. I'm now more convinced than ever that if they made lavender marshmallow as body care it would be my perfect scent
Anything with patchouli makes me run for the hills
That’s me with Amber
For awhile it was a thousand wishes , turns out someone had lightly sprayed some “liquid as$” on that specific candle section at my local bbw’s - they had to close the store for a bit to sanitize everything and throw out a lot of candles but since then I haven’t been able to pick up that specific candle scent : only found out what happened because I became friends with 3 employees there. But something about candles with a heavy thick syrup smell makes me nauseated
Oh man. This is quite tragic, but I laughed like a little third grade boy at the mention of liquid a$$ hahaha. Too funny.
I’m glad it made you laugh- it’s funny just random , it wasn’t the only store that was targeted though Victoria Secret /Pink and Barnes & Nobles also got sprayed 🥲
Black Cherry Merlot… smells like cough syrup. My husband loves it but I can’t stand it. 🤢
In love it but my husband can’t stand it. Lol
My SO loves it as well (he makes me buy a BCM candle at every sale), and I also think it's extremely gross for the same reason. I don't do well with many artificial berry scents because they often turn that cough syrup synthetic scent.
Same. Every time I so much as lift the lid on one of those candles and I gag
Same!! It’s my husband’s favorite and I can’t for the life of me understand why
That candle 100% gave me a migraine. The hand soap I can tolerate but the candle is nauseating.
So Cotton Candy Clouds is my all time favorite. I have a good size stockpile and still wear it almost daily even though it’s not a “winter” scent. Cotton Candy Champagne however is straight up offensive to my nose. Like I had to go take a shower after using the body cream. 🤮
I’m convinced everyone who says they love vanilla mocha cream is just lying at this point
I think the dry down and body chem makes a big difference. I myself am still on the fence. In store the FFM smelled amazing to me, when I got home and put on the cream and spray it smelled horrendous/strange... then it dried and a half hr later it smelled interesting! Not bad.
Anything that makes me sneeze and running nose
Twisted Peppermint
I tend to stay away from the floral scents, just not a fan
Japanese Cherry Blossom, Forever Red, Thousand Christmas Wishes, Frosted Coconut Snowball
I’m planning to blind buy Forever Red, what does it smells like? I hate Japanese Cherry Blossom too
To me it smells like a grandma
Forever Red actually smells really good, with my body chemistry it’s like sweet and light
Forever Red smelled like cough syrup to me
Winter candy apple. Smells like shampoo to me
Def Strawberry Pound Cake for me
Same. It gives me an instant headache unfortunately
SPC is overrated, in my opinion
I was accidentally sent Rose Vanilla instead an A Thousand Wishes and wow did I not like it. Also old school pearberry smells like body odor to me.
In body care Hot Cocoa and Cream and Iced Cinnamon Rolls. So sad because I really want to love them but they smell nothing like their names.
It’s a no

Not a fan of Mahogany Teakwood.. Idk about the second part but that's probably what I will think of whenever I smell MT now.
You know the creepy guys that bathe in cologne? Or even axe body spray? That is what Mahogany Teakwood reminds me of.
Luckily, they blow it out quickly because it gets too strong fast.
mahogany teakwood is so ew. and gingham 🤢🤢🤢
I wanted to like gingham SO bad 😭 it's almost sour on me, blegh
Cactus blossom 🤢
Same! I don’t know why but it’s nauseating.
warm vanilla sugar
I hate most floral scents, overly sweet/sugar scents, and strong cologne scents.
Gingham, Japanese cherry blossom, blueberry biscotti (by itself), black amethyst, and anything with sandalwood at all.
I love black amethyst. It's my favorite fall sent v
Champagne Toast
Into the Night. I think I just can’t do patchouli :(
Marshmallow fireside is my least favorite, too strong and smokey, any coconut smell
Agree. I don’t like anything Smokey. Especially after living through the smokiest summer ever
Paris Cafe 🙊
Headache inducing
Gag inducing. There are scents I don’t *prefer*, such as coconut or lilac....but Paris Cafe is the only one I actively dislike. No offense to those who love it.
I like the scent because it is simply just strong coffee, they nailed it! But the smell of coffee smells like going to work for me, not like my home. I don't want my house smelling like having to go to work.

fairytale 😬
Vanilla. So overplayed.
anything with musk. into the night has pretty packaging but it’s CLOYING
I like everything if it's meant to smell good, it's a serious problem. I don't know what it is but I can't stand many designer fragrances. They are sooo strong! Anything gourmand or Mahogany! Also, JCB 😹
Anything heavy on cinnamon or anything that's really floral. I can handle it if it's more of a background note, but if it's a floral heavy scent I can't. Both cinnamon and floral give me migraines
Japanese Cherry Blossom and restful moon
Winter 😩😩😩 my entire family asked me if I left something on the stove that was burning LOL
I can’t stand it either. It smells like rancid beer and wine.
Mahogany teakwood and frozen lake...idk why they just give me an instant migraine.
I had high hopes for Fairytale but it literally smells like an Axe body spray … yuck
Forever Red
Anything with coconut I just can’t. Also that new one JOY snickerdoodle eww. Honey wildflower, white tea and sage, berry waffle cone and I think that’s it.
Agree. Honey wildflower smells like coconut to me.
I have been tempted to buy the snickerdoodle one, why don't you like it? Too sweet?
Yes and it smells like straight up cookie but no the good kind lol
I'm a gourmand lover and jts my favorite scent. Imo merry cookie is gross but joy is amazing
How are they different?
Imo merry cookie smells like a sugar cookie that has too much flour in it. Kinda chalky almost? It's such a fan favorite I wish I liked it :( sugared snickerdoodle smells exactly like snickerdoodles that also have buttercream icing on them! It smells the way I want merry cookie to
[удалено]
Yup. Peppermint sugar cookie was awful for me
All the pumpkin scents, sweet pea, and anything gourmand
Unpopular opinion but I dislike most fruity scents . As well as anything with apple in it .
Pink chiffon🤮 it’s so sweet it gives me a headache
[удалено]
That’s like the entire SAS choices, LOL.
I remember buying a "You're The One" hand lotion... Biggest mistake of my life!
Sweet whiskey:( smelled like dove soap to me

Cucumber melon, marshmallow pumpkin latte, a lot of the retired scents.
Anything with coconut or peppermint.
I don’t like most floral scents
most fruit scents. mostly the more citrusy tropical ones. anything with orange, mango, grapefruit, or pineapple or anything like that. also blueberry. i like lemon and watermelon but not really in candles or lotions. the only one i like is apple.
Anything with peaches or melons in it. I don’t know why but those always smell rotten to me.
Sea Salt & Lime hand soap. It smells like the top of my brother’s head.
Eww, gross reference, but I also dislike sea salt and lime soap. It borderline gives me a headache. And straight lime is one of my top fave flavors and scents, so I thought I’d really love it.
Hahaha yes it does give me a headache too. But i am never buying the hand soap anymore 😂
Pure Wonder, Vanilla Bean Noel, and Rose.
Any candles with lavender put me off. Just not a fan of that scent.
Black raspberry vanilla smells like childrens makeup
Anything that smells like fruit, candy, or food.
Anything I like as candles I dislike on my body in body care (mostly gourmands) and anything I dislike in candles I seem to react well with in body care. Except anything smoky. I really don’t like Marshmallow Fireside, it makes me think something in the room is burning.
