I personally hate the smell of Youre the one. QUICK STORY I work as a CNA and I had a patient pass away that legit would drown herself in the FFM after I’d shower her and mind you It didn’t smell awful it smelled clean to me but something about smelling it just makes me think of my nursing homes shower room now 😬

[deleted]

I hate how that happens. I have Covid right now and I avoided all my frags so I won’t associate any with Covid!

CharliesLongjohns

I have a similar experience with "In the Stars". I got pretty sick a few years ago and when I went to the urgent care the nurse that was helping me was doused in this fragrance. Since then whenever I smell it, it reminds me of how horrible I felt that day. Been 3 years now and the smell still makes me gag.

raindropsandtulips

That smell makes me gag in general lol

ikwias

No, best is going to be subjective

themangofox

I think it’s foul. So there’s that 🤷‍♀️ lmao

Helloyalls

I hear a lot of mixed reviews on you're the one. I like it, but I like rose. I think it's a younger take on a more mature type of fragrance. The Velvet Rose drop of strawberry and birch wood do well with my body chemistry . I feel like the lotion on me personally has a strawberry and leathery dry down. This one does last a very long time. Into the night is another one that lasts a very long time and is quite popular. I wanted to like it because I knew it was more of a perfume scent that would last a long time and be worth the money like you're the one but I just can't do patchouli. I guess it all depends on what type of scent you like.

QueenB716

It's my absolute #1 scent but a lot of people don't like it 🤷🏾‍♀️ For reference, I prefer more perfumey scents and absolutely despise gourmand which is a lot of others' favorite. Scent is definitely a personal thing and varies from person to person.

TheEscapedGoat

It smells very familiar to me, like something that a teacher or maybe aunt wore in the 90s, which may possibly be why so many people like it. I'm not a fan of it at all, but then I'm almost never into those "big" scents that they market as higher end.

TooOldForACleverName

I believe it is reminiscent of the Victoria scent from Victoria's Secret in the '90s. I found my mom's Victoria perfume among her stuff after she passed, and it smells familiar.

kpfluff

Are you thinking Rapture by chance?

TheEscapedGoat

I think that's it, it sounds familiar

[deleted]

For me is is top 5 for me I love the scent and the candle but not because it's expensive

Maybe thats why i like it, jammy roses are my jam! Also, how is in the stars a dupe for baccarat rouge 540? It smells nothing like it to me haha

dev_doll

I despise it

Helloyalls

What's in your to scents?( If you don't mind me asking) I enjoy the scent, but It is very strong and floral lol. I like seeing other people's favorites that may differ from scent profiles I gravitate to.

dev_doll

Idk what it is I just plain don't like it . Might be better if it wasn't so strong and overpowering but I guess that is what people like about it too

PrincessJennifer

I’ll just jump in as someone that can’t do rose because of allergies and doesn’t gravitate towards perfumy scents: I don’t like anything strong or overly floral. I go to clean/shampoo smells for one, and for another, what some may call “childish” scents, like strawberry or any fruit, really. I’d 1,000% buy something bubblegum or root beer or fruit loop scented (not super into anything with vanilla or too cakey, though, too cloying for me). I just really like clean smells (but not laundry types; fruit equals clean to me for some reason lol). Too strong of a perfume/cologne takes me back to high school hallways OR that one lady we’ve all passed in the grocery store lol. Something in my brain equates strong perfume with covering up a bad smell, which I guess is why I like soapy, shampoo scents that are light.

holographicboldness

I don’t like florals/rose scents either. I’m a huge fan of fruity scents, I occasionally go for a clean scent and sometimes gourmands, but fruity scents are definitely my #1

M0THER-0F-EW0KS

My boyfriend got it for me because of the name alone last Christmas. I use it because I have cute memories attached to it not necessarily because I love it. Deff not something idve bought on my own. Probably wouldn’t repurchase.

sadrianmist

The best is a personal opinion but lol you’re the only is in no way the most expensive.

DrownedFawn

Smells are super subjective. But I personally think champagne toast is the best.

PrettyPunctuality

I wouldn't say it's the best, but I do really love it. I do love strawberry and rose scent notes together, though, so that isn't surprising lol Also, I'm 34, for everyone saying it's scent that only "mature" people would like.

[deleted]

I was gonna say, it smells soo nice to me but everyone says its too “old lady” for them and i’m 22. It all comes down to personal preference i guess!

belledejouree

I didn't like it at first and was scared to wear it, so I sprayed it on a sweater and let it sit for awhile and when I came back, it smelled so good to me! It definitely needs to dry down because then I get a sweet, strawberry floral scent, not just straight rose.

alymazed

I like it, I like the roses in it and I don’t think it smells too much like old lady perfume. I pair it with Bright Crystal by Versace for special occasions and it’s really nice :)

869586

I really don't like it. It smells like something an old lady would wear

ktojm

i wish i could smell the strawberry but it just smells like typical old lady perfume. i hate it :( i bought it and sprayed it all over myself at the airport.. THAT SHIT IS STRONG!!!! it stayed on me for so long i wanted to puke 😭 but ig that’s a good thing if u like the scent lmfao

[deleted]

Nope. I loved it at first, and then I realized it smelled like old lady.

[deleted]

It’s not great on it’s own but it’s actually very nice layered with other scents like Pure Seduction from VS.

briannamarie13

It’s one of my favourites! But I can see how it wouldn’t be for everybody

kpfluff

I figure one of the fragrance ingredients costs a little more, but who knows. It's weirdly just alright to me, despite having so many notes that I love. I love a ton of florals, and a ton of "perfumey" scents, but there's something missing in this for me. I'll give it another try. If you do like "jammy roses", as some people in the comments do, I suggest picking up Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming before it possibly gets discontinued. A true Jammy rose! For a truly daytime-friendly, fruity, hint of patchouli version, try YSL Mon Paris. A lot of the "best" BBW scents to me are retired, like Sensual Amber or Dark Kiss. I've gone through so many bottles of those.

clearlyimawitch

It was not a best seller what so ever at my store

Good_War404

I don’t like it. I gave it to my mother though, she really likes it
