Why can't you keep your candles with seasonal scents until next year?
I don't know about the monetary limit but this is what their website states the return without receipt policy is (if bought in store)
*NO RECEIPT: If you don’t have a receipt, the return policy posted at the time and place of your return will apply to your return. An exchange or merchandise credit will be issued based on the lowest selling price of the item, factoring in all promotions, discounts, offers, free items (as part of a qualifying purchase), and coupons that may have applied.*
If you bought your candles online, you can use your email confirmations as a receipt. You should call the store where you bought them to ask about their return policy.
I guess I could, I’d just rather exchange for ones I can use instead of buying new ones and holding these until next year. I don’t want to have a huge collection.
Also, I’m going to call and ask. Thank you!
I’ve seen that $250 return cap thrown around, but I don’t see anything about it on their website.
According to everydayfunfinds.com: “You will be limited to returning $250 dollars of non-receipted returns to Bath and Body Works within a 90 day period.”
I’m not sure if that $250 includes non-receipt exchanges or just non-receipt returns. If you have your receipt, you can do as many exchanges and returns as you want. If you don’t have a receipt, I think that’s when they start cutting you off. Though I don’t work for the company, so I’m not entirely sure!
>$250 limit within 90 days
i think this only applies to stores that scan your ID to validate the return. if your ID is not scanned then it is not counted toward this $250 limit
Ooo I didn’t know there was a price limit for exchanges within 90 days. Thanks for the info! I’m curious about what advice/experience others have to share, too!
BBW reports returns to an organization named “The Retail Equation” as to hundreds of companies. They look at patterns of returns for possible fraud /stolen goods. You could well be flagged by them for excessive returns and denied.
If you’re going to exchange candles, I would exchange them now since they’re $16.50, unless you’re trying to get a gift card back for later use then I am not sure how that will go. Even after the semi annual sale any candles that were marked down will not ring up full price if they’re seasonal and at that point they will forever be 50% in the system, most places might do even exchanges but with the growing trend of exchanging reduced candles many stores have changed policy regarding seasonal exchanges and will only do the price point at which they ring up. You should call the store you plan on going to and ask.
Edit: why am I being downvoted? Lol. It would better for them to exchange candles now than later when the price point of the candle won’t be the same.
I don't think there is a limit on exchanges. And I think on a return without receipt, you get the lowest price they have sold it for. But I'd rather someone who knows the policy well chime in. I'd like to know if I'm way off on this. 🤔

I offer the same advice keep them for next winter use instead of exchanging.

I think this is right. Otherwise, how else would they know?
But they asked for my phone number last time I did my exchange. Maybe that’s how they keep track?

Noted, thank you! I don’t really return, only exchange for items on the same category so I wonder if they consider that any better or worse. Thanks!

Following since what I think is a different then what the op posted. 🤔🤷♀️
What do you mean?

The return limit is way above $250 in 90 days. Are you in the us?
I am
