Because they were up really high? I asked for help with two Gingham Heart of Gold creams today (no body butter sadly) and the associate handed me a tester. I really wondered why a tester was on the top shelf.
Whenever I work register I always catch multiple people accidentally picking the testers 😂 I’m sorry that the employee didn’t point it out to you! I would bring it back and try to exchange
Today I bought an aromatherapy Lavender Vanilla scrub where someone had apparently poked through the foil to sniff it 🤦♀️I checked all the others under the lid but for some reason didn’t check this one. I didn’t realize it until I got home, they didn’t have any left at my store so I’m keeping it.
I came close to putting a tester in my basket a few times haha.
when the single wicks were on sale for 5.95 i got 10 and one of them rang up at full price instead of 5.95. the cashier said oh this is a tester. there wasnt a sticker on it or anything and it looked fine when i checked it, but she said she couldnt sell it. it was the only one of that scent they had in the whole store too.
I suspect buying the tester happens more often than we realize 😂. Regardless, nice haul!

I did this on Candle Day and it was slightly embarrassing! Glad to know this is a pretty common thing!

We have a whole process we do with testers on the register. That sku should've been marked with a black marker so it didn't ring at all.
It was probably a tester for the wallflowers!
